Ji Taoyu, since childhood, had heightened senses compared to others, magnifying any sensation on his body.

A slight spring rain or half a breeze could make him catch a cold easily, earning him the reputation of being delicate.

Fortunately, his parents had planned for this and arranged a marriage early on.

The husband’s family was prominent, and the groom, a scholar, didn’t have deep affection for him, but they treated each other with respect.

People in the village thought it was a good match.

As Ji Taoyu reached the age for marriage, his husband’s family suddenly changed their minds.

He went from being envied to becoming the village’s laughingstock.

Despite his good looks and decent family background, he couldn’t find a suitable match.

Every day, Ji Taoyu faced ridicule, even from the newly arrived, unsociable neighbor who mocked him: “Are you a reincarnation of a crybaby? Can’t live without him?”

Ji Taoyu lowered his gaze, saying, “It’s not that I can’t live without him. It’s just that I can’t find another husband like him.”

Huo Shu was born in the north, drafted into the army at a young age, and after the war, instead of returning home, he traveled south.

The south was prosperous and different from the desolate north, nurturing people with gentleness and elegance.

Huo Shu was immediately drawn to a delicate-looking young man, only to find out he was already promised to someone else.

Just as he lamented his luck, news of the young man’s broken engagement reached him…

Without hesitation, Huo Shu declared, “I will marry you.”

I don't often write reviews based on the translation but I'm genuinely baffled. This is a BL novel, Ji Taoyu and Huo Shu are both males which is obvious in the raws. Especially since the author refers to them as gong/shou in the jjwcc summary. Yes, Ji Taoyu is a 'ger' but everyone uses male pronouns for him.

The translation swaps Ji Taoyu's gender and I guess doesn't know what a ger is? A quick look seems to show the pronouns in general seem to be messy.

This is why the title... more>> doesn't make sense lol the 'husband' in the title refers to Ji Taoyu not Huo Shu.

Anyways just an fyi, this isn't originally even a het novel so lol <<less
