The Husky and His White Cat Shizun

Description

Links are NOT allowed. Format your description nicely so people can easily read them. Please use proper spacing and paragraphs.

Mo Ran thought becoming Chu Wanning’s disciple was a mistake.

His shizun was really too much like a cat while he himself was a dumb pup who’d only slobber and wag his tail.

Dogs and cats were different by nature; originally, the dumb pup didn’t want to reach his furry paws out to that cat.

At first he thought, dogs should be with dogs, like his shixiong, beautiful and tame like a cute Japanese Spitz, and the two of them together would surely be a match made in heaven.

Yet, after having died and reborn, after having lived two lives, the one he hauled back each time to his den in the end was always the one he couldn’t stand at first: that snow-white kitty shizun.

I was fooled by the title, I came for the fluff but the angst kept me.
Spoiler

I'm a huge sucker for poor, silently-suffering Shizun. MoRan's heartbreaking realization and regret when the misunderstanding is cleared up was just so so so satisfying.

[collapse]

The big reveal at the end was heartbreaking, like I could feel the pain in my own heart and it felt so good. So don't let the angst warnings scare you, I promise it gets better and it'll be so satisfying.
Spoiler

The dynamics between the characters are very adorable, especially between Xia SiNi and Mo Ran. Xia DiNi exploiting Mo Ran's weakness to being called gege was so ****** adorable omg.

[collapse]

Also a big shoutout to the translators, thank you LukaLuka_roll and especially rynnamonrolls for making this gem available to readers.

***Update*** Does anyone know where I can find the rest of the novel?? The publisher is making translators take off their translations and I don't know where else to find updates. Like I'll buy the English version and everything but I can't find it anywhere.

This novel got me hooked. I have read it over ten times by now

Please don't stop reading the novel halfway thinking the MC (MR) don't deserve ML (CWN). You will see that MR is almost as selfless as CWN. ... more>>
Spoiler

Even when CWN says that it wasn't MR's fault MR doesn't take the chance practically offered to him he insist he is responsible for all the things done by himself

[collapse]

The couple in this novel are really something. Though they are very different from one another to the point of being complete opposite they match with each other like two building blocks. I really love them and the other characters in this novel are portraited really well.

Spoiler

Well in a certain chapter MR had to go to underworld to retrieve CWN's soul MR is measured of sins and was judged whether he should be allowed to re-enter the reincarnation cycle or his soul should be obliterated. He was judged not to be a sinner there. You'll see why by the end of the novel. In 3rd book if I remember right

[collapse]

In the beginning though the ML seemed to be a cruel person it was hard not to like how funny he is. Yet it did disappoint me when what he did to CWN was revealed and the behavior of MR was contradictory and a little confusing. Yet by the end of novel all are explained. In the beginning the MC seemed to be a cruel person because first most part of novel was from ML's perspective. Yet the author soon introduce us to MC. Just then I began to love his hard outside soft inside character.

CWN's and MR's back stories are very sad.

The plot twist in this novel..... Just wow. I didn't expect any of that. There was not only one by the way there were several. It was a emotional rollercoaster.

When you read the novel again and again some parts will click right in.

Eg :-
Spoiler

Some actions of hidden mind mastermind the way he react to some of MR's actions, Why MR was behavior was very contradictory to his deep route hatred, TXJ's actions in last life like torturing CWN yet favoring him over his empress in a little twisted way, Like I mentioned before why MR was allowed to enter the underworld, why MR has two devine weapons in two lifetimes, how MR was reborned... etc

[collapse]
Well there more. If you skipped this part because of the spoilers please consider going through this again because you might have missed some. <<less

Well don’t be fooled by the summary— it may seem like a lighthearted relatively slow enemies to lovers slow burn... It’s definitely way more than that.

and I mean that in every aspect— the dog blood, the slow slow slow slow burn but also not slow slow slow burn, definitely not lighthearted, it’s a very heavy read. It’s much more than a simple enemies to lovers book, or shizun-disciple whatever you wanna refer to it as. You definitely should be prepared for literally anything. I went into this when the novel... more>> had few readers talking about the novel, not much reviews, fanart, fan fiction etc., so I had no idea what I was going to read because the summary is very vague, 300+ chapter is a lot in my opinion.

It’s very understandable to hate this novel and to have MANY MANY bad things to say about it and I could go on and on about how horrific the reading experience was. but surprisingly enough, I actually really really love this novel and have some nice things to share about it.

We know that this is a reborn novel from the start, following the perspective of Mo Ran, who was an emperor in his first life. Ne went by the name Taxian Jun and was a tyrant who committed scu*cide and then got reborn into his 16 year old self, and that’s where we start our journey with him. Taxian Jun but he was the r@pist of Chu wanning, his Shizun. This is obviously an important factor, because Taxian jun purposefully r@ped Chu wanning because he believed him to be the reason his white lotus Shi mei, died. Although Taxian jun always disliked Chu wanning because of his cold demeanor and ruthless personality, this basically made him snap, and he wanted to humiliate Chu wanning.

when Mo Ran is reborn he still loathes Chu wanning, and wants to save shi mei from dying on a mission, so we progress into the story building up to that day where shi mei is supposed to die.

Now it’s important to understand that Mo ran and Taxian Jun have completely different personalities, and you might wonder how can this be, why did his personality change drastically even though he JUST k*lled himself after being basically the worst person on the planet?

you will find yourself asking more questions like these, and you will find missing puzzle pieces you might not have realized were missing until you found them—once you read these 300+ chapters of course.

Chu Wanning is a misunderstood character when we’re reading this from MonRan’s perspective, and it’s very easy to emphasize with him and to be mad at Mo Ran for how he views him so negatively. Chu wanning is the shizun, and the shou of the story who seems cold, distant, ruthless, and cruel. But we come to find that he is very much caring, but also insecure, and has a low self esteem.

I know the age gap/dynamic of the main pairing is a huge no no for many readers and as I said, it’s completely understandable for readers to avoid picking this novel up for that reason alone, but I chose to look past it, and I’m not sure why but it didn’t really bother me as much? Maybe because Mo Ran already has an adult mind after being reborn, but again, not everyone is able to or are willing to look past that, so do keep in mind that the age gap IS bigger than most age gaps.

This novel has so many plot twists that will make you feel dumb, angry, VERY VERY sad, heartbroken, shocked, happy, relieved, disgusted, offended, betrayed and literally every emotion that exists. I know this review is relatively vague, but I hope it prepares anyone who has not read or heard of this book more than the summary will, because trust me that summary does not let you know what you are in for... <<less

I sadly had to drop this Novel. I was very excited to give this a try, but even though the premise was interesting and the character relationships had so much potential, it was all ignored for some superficial "romance" that was just creepy or cringe worthy.

The MC and ML felt like they had to get out of character to show the reader how much they actually love each other and why they should be together, while ignoring age long physical and mental ab*se by ML, who is the teacher, to... more>> the MC, his pupil.

Everyone in this novel is trying to tell us that this teacher was actually good to him. But he isn't. Objectively, our MC has understandably hated the teacher and the teacher has not shown any redeeming qualities so far, no matter how much the author is trying to gaslight us into believing that the MC should be understanding of the teacher. We as the reader are being told why the teacher might be that way, but barely anything trickles down to the MC.

The heartbreaking, very well written moments, hit very hard, which makes it even less understandable for the MC to unconditionally love the ML. This novel would make more sense if this was a true hate relationship, where the MC is too bitter, too proud, and too stubborn to let go of the complicated feelings of the past.

And all the other very hard hitting moments just feel like page fillers or to make the reader believe that there is more to this novel that there actually is.

I finished the first book through pain and cringe, if this was an online novel or a fan fiction I would've dropped midway through book one. <<less

Highly recommend reading the original author's work or buying the translated version to do this book justice, otherwise, you are missing out on an exceptional experience. Avoid using Google translate or MTL for this book.

After finishing the novel, I felt incredibly lost, a testament to its captivating storytelling and immersive world-building.

Throughout the story, I grew to love not only the main characters but also the supporting characters, each with their own depth and complexity.

The character growth depicted in the book was remarkable, adding layers of depth and realism to the... more>> narrative.

Reading this book was like being on a roller coaster ride; you never knew what twists and turns lay ahead, keeping me hooked until the very end.

It's a testament to the author's skill that the book manages to be both fun and engaging while also exploring the depths of human nature, portraying the nuances of good and evil in a compelling manner.

The events in the book are intricately linked, creating a seamless and immersive reading experience.

One of the book's standout features is its richly developed characters, including the villains, who are all 3D and contribute to the complexity of the story.

Overall, this book is one of the best I've come across, offering a thrilling and emotionally resonant journey that will stay with me long after turning the final page. <<less

I have recently attempted to read this story for 2nd try but I have only come to realize that this story is just too angsty for my tastes. Personally, I find the story good and interesting but as it progresses more, the relationship between MC and ML gets more stiffening.

It slowly broke my heart the more the misunderstandings grew on and both of them just (knowingly and unknowingly) hurt each other. The thing is that all that misunderstanding grows over 100 chapters (I've read a few spoilers) which is too... more>> much to me. I can only blame myself for empathizing with the characters so much. <<less

Three books: 311 chapters (and I didn’t count the extras) equals a thousand something bed scenes (), seriously...

The truth is that this book was not at all what I expected, I imagined a somewhat more typical story of the xianxia-danmei genre. The first book throws us into the life of the great Emperor of the world of cultivation, or rather into what remains of it. From there, with his reincarnation, the story begins to get more and more interesting, because honestly, the protagonist you take affection from the beginning... more>> (and that has sins to fill a life). On the contrary, the second book has slower parts, interesting things happen but there are chapters that feel like real soap opera stuffing.

Here you already have more than clear who can be the "puppeteer" of everything that happened in both lives, although not for this reason you lose interest in history, which has several surprises facing the third and last book.

Undoubtedly the best of the whole story, apart from some very funny moments and some to cry, are its protagonists with interesting and contrary personalities. Without forgetting the secondary characters (too many Chinese names ಥಥ), of which, at least I wanted to know even more about their lives because none of them were figurative. Rather, the stories of these characters are an important part of the plot and each with more secrets than the last.

As I roll up, to finish, it will not become one of my favorite novels within this theme but if I think it is worth giving it a reading, despite how long it is, it does not disappoint. <<less

I've read it and I can say that it was a fun, painful and extremely rewarding journey. Even though I really prefer light things that don't demand too much emotion, 2HA is one of those stories which is mandatory reading. This novel was a serious storyline about redemption, revelation of love and loyalty.

The message of this book that I really really took in was you never really knew what the truth is even though you think you knew. Because that's basically what's the main character think of himself. Apparently a lot of his so-called truth is not the truth it's just something he believes in or something like that.

The story got more interesting and deeper as it revealed bit by bit of the truth that was not revealed before, even... more>> though it's not being concealed but no one says about what really happened either. The big shout out for shizun. <<less

Could not stop crying, if I read for 10 hours I would be crying for 8.

Very good plot and even better character writing! I loved all the side characters and the side stories were also very interesting. The scenes and concepts really stay with you even after you've finished it, recently had a Mo Ran induced breakdown after finishing it more than a year ago.

i THOUGHT I knew sad backstories before I read this. Meatbun crafted layers upon layers of pain that are used to create even more pain. Incredible

2ha was a roller coaster. It made me emotionally suffer, desperately mad, and grieve so much. 2ha is definitely something else with its plot twists and tragedy. I read this not expecting the outcome of making me bawl my eyes out. The plot, the characters, the whole novel is amazing. You'll come to hate some characters, come to love the characters, and grieve for them too. The side characters that are involved in the main story are well written; each of them have a backstory that gives me a depth... more>> of understanding the characters intentions and background. The mix of emotions I had of the characters confuse me so much of what I thought and felt about them because one thing I'll be hating and then be grieving. *Sigh* such a emotional ride. I knew I would ended up making an review on this.

It took me a long while to read this novel. I wanted, than readed the reviews and the triggers and gave up, than changed my mind, until I decided see for myself and I don't regret.

Let's start with the crucial point what bother people and might put people off to read. The MC r*pes the ml. Yes, he did in his past life, multiple times, but you have to trust in me on this:I also don't like this type of... more>> things, but here is different. It have a reason. I can't say much to not spoil. But is not as simple as it seems.

For those who wishes to know, I'll leave the spoiler below, don't worry the story has many plot twists, know this won't ruin all, I only readed after find out:

Spoiler

the reason why the MC r*ped the ML and was evil in the past was cause he had a magical evil demonic flower on him, which removed all his goodness, it made him almost a marionette of the villain, a souless, heartless, so is not his fault. You can see notes about this through the novel, how he can't remember good things that people made to him, how he can't understand how he did all those bad things, how he looked sick in the past, etc

[collapse]

People who say that the MC is a little meow meow baby is not r*pist apologizing, they just readed the whole novel. To me he is one of MC with a mostly pure heart. He's one of my favorite MC and he changes a lot in the second volume.

I do agree that the r*pes scenes are excessive and too descriptive in a nearly erot*c way, this bothered me hugely, I just skipped those scenes specially cause after a while they were more of the same.

The mainly plot is complex and is one the best I've ever seen. Many plot twists too.

There's a lot of heavy things besides the r*pe, but this is not all the story, the story is more that all heavy things.

The romance is beautiful although they don't made it in my top five, but they both take care of each other in a beautiful way.

The secondary characters are okay. To me only the MC cousin, Xue Meng and our sweet, sweet Shi Mei stand out. The others I missed more complexity and development tbh.

The villain compensates though. He is one of the mostly complex, well developed character I've ever seen. He's definitely the best villain I've read about. I felt so many things about him, like:
Spoiler

hate, love, disgusting, compassion, annoyed, respect... it left me confuse

[collapse]
. Not gonna say more, cause I don't wanna spoil much.

Anyways is a really good book. Is not perfect, no book is. Is not heavier than song of ice and fire I think. The plot is amazing. Villain amazing. MC a sweet little meow meow baby boy, strong, kind and fierce. Don't believe me? Read to see. Seriously, read and take your own conclusions. But read untill the end, is the type of story which a lot is answer only in the final volume. <<less

Apparently there are two types of people (mostly) in the reviews of Erha; the ones that hate it to the core and the ones that love it dearly. Mind you, I'm among the latter. It's sad to see that most of the people who hate it haven't even completed it. Of course, you don't have to read the whole thing it if it's not your cup of tea but that also makes most of the reasons you give for not liking it irrelevant. You say you hate the gong, but... more>> you aren't even close to knowing Mo Ran-or any character for that matter- if you're in the 100ish chapters.

Here's my advice to the potential readers. First of all, pay attention to the warnings and stay away if it doesn't sound like something you'd enjoy, BUT I cannot agree with the people saying there is a r*pe scene every single chapter, that is an utter lie. It doesn't change the fact that it HAS lots of disturbing and triggering scenes though, including some detailed r*pe scenes. Secondly, if you decide that you can stomach a whole lot of pain and start it, please try to read the whole thing before judging. For me, the real deal starts in the third book, around 230ish chapters. Prepare yourself for some great plot twists and reveals and seeing the story in a different light.

Most people's opinions about the gong start to change in the beginning of the 2nd book and I think the ones who don't like it mostly drop the book here because they believe some things are justified. And girl no, I don't think they are. Yes, this is a redemption story but this is not where it actually starts in my opinion. For me the 2nd book is fun and all but it's more like a filler. Not only the readers but even the damn characters don't know or remember things here. We're mostly in the dark along with the characters. So try to be patient and read it to see why the people who love it, love it:D

Erha is my favorite danmei novel because I love pain and suffering, I love Chu Wanning (he is my comfort character) and Mo Weiyu and their love, I love Meatbun's styles of writing (I mean aside from the literal quality, there are all those foreshadowing and small hints that are invisible in the first ride and hard to miss in the second), I love big reveals and plot twists, I love the humor, I love being spoiled by the author with all the details I could ever ask for (I hate being left in the dark and sometimes you feel that even after reading the whole thing), I love the side characters even the villain to some degree (I don't justify the reasoning for their horrible acts tho) also I love my Xue Meng baby boy so much lol <3

Anyways go and read it, please.

Now let's get to the fun part for the ones who have completed the book^^

Spoiler

I just wanted to say that I love Mo Ran and Mo Ran is a good boy;;;; He accepted to become a monster and a puppet who can't control his actions for the person he loves. Hell, even his perception is distorted and he cannot even remember the good deeds his precious Shizun does for him anymore. It breaks my heart to see how much hate he gets (lol as if he's a real, living person). People believe that we justify his actions because he started to change and became a better person after Shizun's death. Hell no! We forgive him because those horrible deeds were not his actions in the first place. There is nothing to justify when those actions didn't even belong to the real Mo Ran.

That's why, I have a soft spot for Taxian Jun as well. Because he was once the boy who was saving earthworms. He is also the person who took the flower on behalf of his beloved. For me what he did is a sacrifice that is even greater than dying for your love. And in the end, he became a monster who continuously hurt his love for years, both physically and mentally. The scene right before his s*icide is one of the most heartbreaking ones -you know when he tried to go back to his disciple days and the clothes didn't even fit. I could perfectly visualize the expression full of despair and disbelief on his face. Surely, one of the best scenes of the book for me.

Anyways I could go on for hours but I'll stop here. Please support the author legally if you can<3

Well, I normally don't care to write a review about anything, but I have decided to write one here because some comments here are quite ridiculous and had me wondering if they have even read the same story as me. (Honestly, I think some people giving low ratings are new readers who haven't finished reading till the end? If so, it's understandable but still, I would prefer that they don't make judgements rashly)

Ok, I can understand some people not liking it because the angst and drama is too heavy.... more>> But in my opinion, giving low ratings just because you don't like the characters is quite unfair. And the thing that surprises me most is those hating on Mo Ran and CWN because of absolute nonsense (and some... even non-canon) reasons? 😑

It's ok if you don't like the characters but at least give a valid, acceptable reason. And AFTER reading the novel UNTIL THE END because some things are only explained near the end.

I agree that Mo Ran is not a "good person". Yes, it's true, Mo Ran was initially a "moron", and I absolutely agree that his crimes were heinous, and no amount of redemption can excuse his wrongdoings, but

Spoiler

come on, dude realised he was wrong, and, had the courage to admit and apologize. And he truly regretted everything, and tried his best to right his wrongs (and note this, before he realise that he was purposefully turned into a monster and being used, he initially thought it was his own s*upidity and mistakes that lead him astray, and truly felt bad). In my opinion, even if he doesn't deserve a praise, he certainly deserves some acknowledgement for his efforts.

Besides, he began harming CWN, falling for Shi Mei and doing immoral things only after his emotions and memories were corrupted by that flower. And by the time he became TaXian Jun, he had lost most of his sanity. I wonder if people have actually forgotten or missed (or still haven't reached) that part about that flower accident?

Anyway, he was a r*pist, a psychopath and a sh*tty human being, but still, it can't be ignored that this was because of an outside factor beyond his control. Mo Ran was no Saint from the start, but he certainly wouldn't become someone like TXJ if not for that flower.

[collapse]
.

Some people say that the author is trying to use "pity points" to redeem Mo Ran, but I don't think so. In my opinion, the narratives about Mo Ran's past just serve as connections and logic for some plots. The real redemption point for Mo Ran is when he acknowledged his wrongs and tried being a better person.

There's still a lot more I want to say about Mo Ran, but well, I will stop it here because I also want to rant about those who are saying CWN developed Stockholm syndrome.

EXCUSE ME... What utter nonsense!
Spoiler

Yes, CWN loved Mo Ran deeply, but he initially showed strong resistance to TXJ, and fought back violently every time TXJ tried to s*xually assault him. Even after being r*ped several times by TXJ, he never gave in, and openly displayed his unwillingness.

His resistance collapsed only after he discovered the truth about the flower, and how his disciple had sacrificed himself for him (CWN), resulting in the kind and cheerful Mo Ran being turned into the cruel, ruthless TXJ. CWN only gave into TXJ after knowing that truth, because he felt he had failed to protect his disciple as a Shizun, and was deeply remorseful. CWN blamed himself for indirectly causing the flower to be implanted on Mo Ran.

[collapse]

Ok, enough ranting, I guess. Time for general reviews.

2Ha is one h*ll of a rollercoaster ride. As everyone says, this story has tons and tons of dogblood. Actually, when I first saw the title and read the description, I thought it was gonna be some light and childish cliché love story, and thus, decided not to read it (I personally prefer heavy storylines, and at that time, 2Ha was still not that popular among international audiences, so I didn't know how deceptive the story title was). After some time, I ran out of danmeis to read and decided to give 2Ha a try, and *boom* I was hooked.

In my opinion, plot-wise, 2Ha is one of the most unique stories I've ever seen. While reading 2Ha, I saw quite a number of major spoilers, but I was still caught off guard by totally unexpected developments at the most unexpected moments. Another thing I really like about 2Ha is that there are a variety of characters with well-developed back stories. And the way Meatbun can connect all the complex backstories seamlessly and give surprises to the readers without failing to provide sound logic is such a feat. Moreover, seeing the development of the "dumb husky" MC gradually becoming a mature person who realises his wrongs and willing to atone for his actions is also quite nice.

The only downside in 2Ha is that most of the sm*t scenes are revolved around r*pe, hence losing one star by me. But honestly, I appreciate that the author actually didn't lighten the wrong about the MC's r*pe or try to justify it; she clearly described how tormenting and disturbing it was for the victim. She also highlighted how the MC realised he was wrong, apologised and repented for it. Moreover,
Spoiler

she described how Mo Ran 2.0 always asked for consent and respected the boundaries after sincerely pursuing his beloved. In my opinion, it's done deliberately to show that Mo Ran 2.0's way is the correct way to properly love someone, while TXJ's way was not.

[collapse]

I have seen works with r*pe involved between the main characters which have waaaayyyy worse scenerios and developments than this, including and not limited to subtle (or not) victim blaming, the r*pist saying, "It happened because I love you", etc., so, I think it's not absolutely unredeemable.

So, if you like a decent plot and can withstand an unhealthy amount of dog blood, give 2Ha a try. Preferences are subjective, so, I won't insist you have to like this story just because many people did. But if you have decided to start reading, please do not hold any prejudice, don't judge rashly and if possible, try to hold on till the end of the novel. <<less

I'll give this novel a rating of 4.5/5 if not for book 3 and some parts of book 2 because the plot really went downhill from that point. Honestly, the story is good. I especially like book 1 and the first part of book 2 because I think those two parts perfectly capture the essence of the story. From misunderstandings, second chances, and regret -- book 1 and first part of book 2 portrayed it very well. As for book 3, author did a LOTS of info dump. The plot... more>> was all over the place.

It would be nice if the author didn't add that mystery/conspiracy plot just to complicate the story because it just ruined the novel for me.

Lastly, As for the characters...

The character of Mo Ran was very well written. He's one of my favorite characters along with Xue meng and Ye wangxi.

You might end up hating him while reading this novel but the way his character was portrayed was so realistic. (Of course not the him from the past if you know what I mean Lol). His parts on book 3 along with xue meng made me cry the most. <<less

3.5 ⭐

i think chu wanning as an adult, moreover he is a teacher it is very unreasonable to like his underage students so deeply. Really, after thinking about it again I wonder how his feelings developed in such a way for a brat who isn't legal yet (not the affection between master and disciple considering he's jealous of shimei). although the ending of the novel is packed with reasonableness but by my standards the beginning is very wrong. however I couldn't understand chu wanning's brain circuits throughout the first half... more>> of the book I really wanted to scream at him loudly while grabbing his collar and declaring right in his face "move on!!! Look, moran likes shimei why are you so melancholic!" <<less

This is one of the top danmei out there for sure. The only danmei that competes with it (in my eyes) is TGCF. It's an epic story with so many twists and turns, and you really have to read it all the way to the end, because there's tons of things from the very beginning that don't get fully explained until then. It was a wild ride but does have a beautiful happy ending! Definitely heed the warnings as it's very explicit and deals with some very dark subject matters.... more>> However, despite that the main couple is really perfect for each other. <<less

okay, after reading through 262 chapters, I think I'll be stopping here. I really wanted to continue but sadly : (there are a few reasons I've rated this 3/5 stars.

edit as of 20/07: okay I picked this up again bc I saw an edit on tiktok and felt the urge to give it a shot, I'm glad I did:)

funny thing is I happened to stop at just right before the most heart wrenching chapters, if not for that I wouldn't have known how much more saddening the novel... more>> could get (let's be real, I was already bawling) but this sadness was so good as well.
Spoiler

the sacrifices both wan ning and mo ran made for each other were endless, wan ning's suffering was told much earlier in the story, whereas mo ran's was only told much later in the novel. hence I could see why some readers who dropped 2ha halfway may have this misconception of his character (im guilty of this as well) although I stayed to see his redemption arc, I still had much doubts of his morals bc alot of his past actions were simply too hard to forget.

alas, love has no bounds. mo ran and wan ning has shown us that:)

overall, this is a very tear jerking story, and I understand it might not be everyone's cuppa. I think one reason to complete this novel for me was the plot twists and character development! so for that, it's a 4/5 stars for me. one point taken off for the very detailed and unnecessary descriptions of non-con interc**rse flashbacks in the earlier chapters. and also for mo ran's idiotic actions and personality for about the first 100 chapters. like geez, give wan ning's trauma a break.

" hell is cold, let me accompany you. " :) <<less
