4 star due to MC interaction with FL? I think shes FL. Along with interactions of other characters besides the antagonists.

Pretty good so far, it's the usual cultivation story with the same cultivation level starting from Qi refining>Foundation establishment>Golden core, etc.

200 chapters in, MC is still stuck on Qi Refining because of his broken Dantian, meaning this is the type of novel that would stretch for a thousand of chapters just to reach the peak of the martial path.

Then again, the wife being hinted as a fallen immortal suggest that there's a higher realm aka Immortal world that would even stretch the chapters beyond 2 thousands...

This novel kept me hooked until chapter 500, and I think it deserves at least 4 stars. These days, it’s hard to find a harem xianxia genre novel that’s this enjoyable for me. I’m not a great reviewer, but I’ll share what I think are the bads and goods of this novel.

The Good:

Story Pace: The story progresses very slowly, but I really like it. It’s a good read; the events in 500 chapters span only a few months. The writing and translation are also well-done.

MC’s Personality: The protagonist is very... more>> mature, calm, and maintains a low profile. He avoids actions that don’t benefit him. He’s not bloodthirsty, which I appreciate. However, after a few hundred chapters, his personality changes slightly (no spoilers here). While I still like him, he starts feeling a bit more generic later on.

Harem Development: The heroines don’t fall in love easily, which I really enjoy. Their relationships with the MC feel developed and natural, with plenty of meaningful interactions. In 500 chapters, only one heroine has dual-cultivated with the MC, while the others are still in the development stage.

Side Characters: The side characters are typical for xianxia but are not poorly done.

Character Depth: Overall, the characters feel alive.

The Bad:

Crowds: If you’ve read a lot of xianxia, you’ll know what I mean, the gossipy crowds that constantly chatter about the situation. It's not repetitive but nope.

Forced Situations: Some heroines or side characters suddenly move to another region or a "top region realm" and tell the MC, Meet me there after you become stronger, like what? Why?. Their reasons often feel forced or unexplained.

Overpowered Elements: While I usually enjoy overpowered protagonists, the MC’s plot armor feels excessive at times. Not only does he have a cheat ability, but he also has an incredibly strong protector whose full power is unknown. I miss the early chapters of MC.

After 500 chapters, I’ve started to feel a bit bored, but overall, the novel has been satisfying. If you enjoy xianxia harem stories, I recommend giving this one a try, it’s worth the read! <<less

This was a 4 or 5 star until about 500 chapters in, it started off well with some decently interesting systems and plot/interactions but I have gotten real tired of the morality grandstanding while he does vile things. The very early chapters had the MC acting like a good person and they brought up that righteous/demonic sects are just labels and it's how you act that counts, but then starts killing a sizable amount of people (or crippling them in friendly matches for no reason/destroying their lives etc), robbing and... more>> salting the earth of everywhere he passes all while still making morality claims and excuses acting like he had no choice. MC also stole some dude's pet and grilled+ate it, then the author went on about how MC doesn't feel bad about it. The guy who he stole it from was also just being super nice to him and is in his sect. They even specifically mentioned how refreshing it was to see that this dude didn't ab*se his strength to get what he wanted from the MC. Then MC ate his pet in the next paragraph.

Like when the author has multiple different sections of paragraphs at one point trying to justify the MC NOT destroying his sect's future prospects by stealing something critical to it's functionality it really rubbed me the wrong way. Does it really take that much self-convincing for you to not commit atrocities? Big culture difference I guess. It's like: "Uhg I guess I shouldn't steal this and destroy me/my wife's sect and betray everyone on my side, even though it would be so great. I guess I can get by without doing it, it would be wrong to betray literally everyone, uhg, dang. Would be nice though."

MC is also absurdly overpowered + has multiple giga-insanely overpowered bodyguards at all times, but even that is less of an issue compared to previously mentioned things. <<less

Very interesting, 10/10 premise, the golden finger wasn't too OP at first and I enjoyed reading the first 200-ish chapters. But as soon as he fully awakens his power and women start flocking to him like positive ions to paper, it fell off and is only above average now. It's a point-based system, but unlike most other novels where the points has to come from strong emotions and MC runs around pissing everyone off, this one only farms girls that like the MC.

This is a fun read, but atrociously structured and plotted story.

The fun comes solely from the interaction of the ML with the various harem members. All of the MC's abilities and cultivation level are provided by a system that gains more points based on his relationship status - one can imagine the antics that must pursue.

Unfortunately, the author has created the most overpowered MC I have ever seen.

• The MC has two OP plot devices: an overpowered leveling system and a rule breaking treasure that makes him unbeatable.

Not only is the MC over powered, he also constantly has access to higher leveled characters who can lend him power at anytime, so you never feel the MC is in danger at all.

Finally, the author creates several major plot lines that he never follows up on, and the MC is always moving forward but never looking back. Considering that the basis of all his abilities is his ability to maintain relationships with various women, it leaves the reader severely wanting.

The story is fast paced and fun to read, but if you're looking for something that is holistically good and not objectively tr*sh, then I don't recommend. <<less
