There was a big scandal in the Mu family.

I've enjoyed the story up to this point, however

I'm not in the mood to read the next 100+ chapters (assuming another review I saw was accurate) of unrequited love even though both MC and ML POVs have discussed that they both have these feelings simultaneously.

It's giving me anxiety, so I'm going to drop it before it gets any more frustrating.

I really should have checked the tags because 'Protagonist falls in love first' is literally Right There.

Awesome concept and it was really enjoyable. The last 50 or so chapters were a bit of a chore to read but I recommend it bc 380 chapters of nice story is nice. People in the comments were angry at ML for the first few chapters, so I just wanna mention that it's a really balanced relationship, just give them a chance LOL

It's a pretty classic setup with really unreasonable family members as the bad guys, which is a plot I enjoy very much.

The storytelling of this author is not really my cup of tea. The author tends to create a setup as a plot device and then never mentions it again after it has no use. In the beginning of the story, the MC was enrolled in a cram school by her biological parents and the purpose was to create a conflict and to introduce one of the main characters in the story. After the conflict is settled, I never saw it mentioned ever again. What happened? Did she drop out of... more>> it or is she still enrolled in it while also doing her part-time job. That's only one example but you get the gist of it. <<less

Gotta be honest here, the ML is not the type that I like to read, but I guess the story is okay and he is a loyal lover.

ML is kind of annoying and forceful towards FL, basically a rogue. FL likes him so even if he insist on seducing her to comply (being intimate) she will accept it, I just feel that she is wronged and the consent is very dubious.

Most of the times, he will not succeed either because FL will cry or the situation is not right but... more>> still, I feel miffed about how he will take advantage of her and overall being inconsiderate, though on later chapters some friends and his mom will remind him not to be forceful and consider her feelings more. <<less

This novel is just okay, the end chapters were a struggle because they were so boring. Dropped during the extras, lol. The "body swap" setting was shallow and was hardly used with it mostly coming into play with events before the novel started.

The author went full in on making replacement child psychotic to a surprising degree. It honestly seemed that the story from he perspective would have been better. The mother, who though emotionally ab*sed was also to blame for the MCs hurt, got a clean slate and was forgiven. I hated her the most. The way they just gave up on their daughter that they had raised for 17 years was insane.

Don't really know how I feel about this novel. Didn't really make me want to read just from the description of it, only gave in due to the rating.

MC does everything and ML get credit, and ML is too childish. I will gave him the credit that he does help the MC out somewhat like switch with her when she in pain and such but other than that I didn't feel he does much for MC

This novel wasn't actually something new because the plot was often used in other similar genre, such as: child switching trope, green tea fake heiress, etc. Body switching trope was a bit refreshing though although it's not that unique. Unfortunately, this trope wasn't explored decently so it felt half-hearted.

Till the end, we didn't get to know why they're be able to switch bodies. The author also skipped the crucial moments of their body swicthing, such as: the first time they switched and how they handled it, how they adapted to their condition through time, how MC gradually fell in love with ML, how ML developed from cold and indifferent guy to become a caring guy who could take care of MC, etc.

When the story started, they already switched bodies for several years already. The author only vaguely mentioned a bit every other time of their past together but it wasn't that detailed. Too bad though because their earlier body switching stories must be interesting to read.

The ending was a happy ending one of course but I'm a bit disappointed with several things.

    • Grandma Xu's sudden disappearance. She was an important person for MC but she didn't even appear on the major event of her life such as her coming-of-age event, her graduation, etc. Maybe the author forgot about her?
    • The ending of several recurring characters were only mentioned briefly. We also didn't know whether the characters who had a potential to be a couple ended up being together or not. I know that this story was about MC and ML but I want to see a happy ending story about their friends too.

This story is really great on multiple levels:

1) Badass Female Lead, especially when we're just starting to learn about her.

2) Supporting Male Lead, especially when it comes (and honestly only) to the Female Lead.

... more>> 3) Great relation between the two since the beginning and nobody can break it.

4) Complex family relation that goes up and down through the story.

That's it for the general notion, I also want to add that while they manage to make the Female Lead really strong she also has her weak points that are really well described in the novel, points that we are not aware of at the beginning and that come with the story only.

The Male Lead is not perfect but that's what makes the story a bit more realistic and also manage to draw the contrast between the two Leads.

A few points that for me remained a bit unresolved or not developped enough in my opinion (some spoilers can be really late story ones) :

  • The capacity to switch body, why? We never learnt it.
  • The relation between the Male Lead and its parents, quickly explained but should have gotten a bit more details.
  • Grandma Xu, how can they just make her not appear in the late chapters? Like she's not dead but we just don't hear about her anymore, kinda sad.
  • Interactions between the person who made Tong Yan's scar and the Lead characters.
  • The professional life of the Female Lead, it takes quite some place in the latest part but still kinda undevelloped.
  • The almost absent switching body part in the latest chapters, it was a mechanic that they could have used way more I believe.

... more>> Its not story that will absorb all my attention. Let's to say, from 10 chapter, I'll skip to read from paragraph to paragraph. So maybe I'll read about 6 chapter worth.

At the beginning, maybe first 50th chapters I consider to stop to read

The reason is "it's just your common story, with ridiculous plot, and your over power Cinderella story"

But, after I force my self to read, I find my self enjoy the novel

"The only unrealistic plot is how the MC knows everything. She basically your master in everything. Perfect face with sparkling filter on your face. Tyrant of studies (rank first at whole school, international class and accel class), king all kind of sport (win all championship. In all kind of sport like more than 5 kind of sport), music queen (piano at label of all Asia champion 🤕, composing, etc), modelling, tea ceremony, motorcycle, just spill it and she is perfect at it.

Okay, that's too much.

Well, I enjoy the side character. They have emotional background story. And more realistic

"He have business worth billions dollar, but he is not good at sports"

Well, it's just a novel. If we use logic, this 16 year old brat actually too perfect to be true. So, it's far from reality.

That is. It's not something I'll read seriously. But it's good enough to pass your time 🙂 <<less

i just started this novel and I read some comments that they felt sorry for the fake daughter too coz she's 'innocent' BUT all I can say is.. She's a bad btch. No one in their right mind would go around telling people lies and sh*t about someone. Gurl, u sound cheap. Well, I can't blame her tho, that's her character design but imma say this again, SHE'S MAD.

Enough of the villain.

I LOVE OUR MC so much!!! I love her "i dont care" attitude.

that's all I can say for... more>> now but upon reading the comments, I think I will come to like the ML <3 looking forward to their story <3333

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IS FIREEEEEE!!!

i said I like pur mc's i dont care attitude, as I read this, she was really a mature woman and she's not at all cold. I love how she handles her frustration and asks ML for comfort. BEST COUPLE AWARDS GOES TO OUR MC AND ML. Damn, I think theyre the best couple ive ever read so farrr. I love how they care for each other. They truly understand each other so much that they seem like a married couple. I love how they're not being annoyingly sweet all the time. aaargh I cant explain it but yeahhh BEST COUPLE 💅❤️

even tho they're a bit (not bit lol) overpowered BUT WHO CARES?! I LOVE BOTH OF THEM

The fake daughter and mc's dad should both go to hell

This one started great. A lil bit heart wrenching. I even got angry because of the Mu's father is really hateful. But then it's quite boring from the middle to the end. The ending seems to be rushed, it's end when they are graduating from High School.

Xu Xinduo always sees some news. Many boys always play games and ignore their girlfriends. How can she not enjoy this treatment?

i love the FL and ML and also the side characters (except for some you'll understand who if you read it)

definitely a must read!! Just read it!!
