[Space + Female Lead Miracle Doctor + Strong Female Lead + Exciting Story + Abusing s*umbags + Getting Rich + Entire Family Exiled and Escaping Famine, Female Lead is Capable, Space Provides Assistance]

A special military doctor traveled back in time to ancient times. Right after arriving, she married the great hero of history, Mo Jiuye, in a wedding ceremony.

According to historical records, the Mo family was filled with loyal heroes, yet they were feared by the Emperor for their great achievements, and the day after the wedding, the entire Mo family was exiled.

Knowing this history, He Zhiran decisively used her space abilities to move all the Mo family’s belongings away before the imperial troops arrived to confiscate them.

Before being exiled, she also saved the lives of the entire Mo family.

Worried they might starve to death on the exile journey? That’s impossible, He Zhiran not only had enough supplies in her space, she also possessed countless money-making skills.

Along the way, her eight sisters-in-law regarded her as an idol and followed her every instruction.

Her mother-in-law and aunt secretly supported her – if anyone dared say anything bad about He Zhiran, they would tear that person’s mouth apart.

Finally settling down, their days became better and better.

Mo Jiuye said: “Wife, we’ve been married so long but still haven’t consummated our marriage!”

He Zhiran replied: “If you want to consummate, you’ll have to prove yourself first.”

Mo Jiuye swore: “I vow to the heavens, you’re the only woman in my heart in this lifetime, no, in the next lifetime and the one after too!”

He Zhiran said: “You have to keep your word…”

Honestly, at chapter 155 I questioned quite a bit about life and why I spent my precious time reading this, but you see I am that kind of person, once I start reading something I would continue. Possibly thinking it gets better over time. Sometimes it doesn't and this is one of those time.

Author probably has 101 intrusive thoughts and decided to put everything into a book. He spared no efforts for sure.

MC has a magic space (Not a spoiler, it's literally in the description) and she has quite a... more>> lot of useful items and she is able to store things in her space. MC also got transmigrated to ancient times and she was marrying this renowned general however he got exiled and she follows him.

Here's the kicker: MC has so many modern items / cheats / hacks to help her in ancient time it became ridiculous.

AK47? Tabao? Tranquilliser guns? BASICALLY whatever problem MC / ML have, MC and her space can resolved it. She's like a living God at this point.

Fortunately chapter has stopped at 155 and I can drop this novel and move on with my life. This review came with a PSA - don't bother reading this one unless you have quite a lot of time to spare, no new novels and basically just want to kill off your brain cells.

I kid you not. You can thank me later. <<less

Fun, easy read.

The Mo generals died on the battlefield, leaving behind widows, children and the last son (ML). The FL is a military doctor who transmigrates as the ML's bride on their wedding day. The next day, the entire family is framed by the Emperor, everything is confiscated, and the family is exiled to the bitter Northwest. Fortunately, the FL is prepared...

I've never read a story set during the gruelling trip to exile (usually an ending punishment for villains in other novels), so this was interesting. The main characters... more>> are all good people in really difficult situations. With all the disasters (deaths, framed, confiscated, exiled), the OP low-key FL saves her family and upholds justice.

The story reminds me of a fairy tale version of the Generals of the Yang Family (famous c-story about a military family where the men all die in battle and their widows fight on their behalf)
Spoiler

- but what if the men didn't die?, what if the family were framed, exiled, but saved and returned triumphant?, what if there were a happy ending?

[collapse]

One thing I appreciate is that because the storyline is already so dramatic (exile, hidden conspiracies), there's no need for annoying elements like relationship misunderstandings between the FL and ML, or crazed jealous girls fighting with the FL. It's like a breath of fresh air.

My favourite part is the FL
Spoiler

looting all the villains' treasuries....

[collapse]

Other reviewers disliked the FL's cheats, but I found them easy to accept in this story because the FL is mild in personality and action. (In other novels, the FL invents cement/steam engines/guns/bicycles wholesale/builds factories and revolutionizes the country, but in this story the FL simply takes modern stuff out and uses them secretly (if advanced tech), or uses the idea to slowly benefit her family (if food, ideas, crafts, etc.). The FL is blunt that she doesn't know how to do business, and doesn't farm herself, knowing when to hire others instead.

Update: Finished reading the translated chapters. Like many novels, the FL is very OP, the ML is sweet on her, and it's a happy ending for everyone except the villains. <<less

Cheats were no joke. theres way too many of them.

cheats so far

Spoiler

magical space has storage + infinte supplies (21st century pharmacy, ER with machines, kitchen, armory that have infinte regeneration on items like liquor, medicine, and machine guns). There is a cellphone with an online shop where she can sell items from the ancient past for high tech modern things (if what she has wasnt enough). The ML for some reason had a secret passsage to the national treasury which they emptied into her space.

[collapse]

She starts the survival narrative with an infinite money & supplies cheat + super combat skills, super medical skills, top chef skills, actual stage hypnotist skills, & wilderness survival training.

You can barely see her personality behind the cheats because at no point does she or will she ever struggle. Within a few chapters the ML questions if she is a god... and yeah... thats about right. Story is literaly: people who follow and praise her unconditionally = good; people who cross her = bad. <<less

The premise was interesting and was quite similar to "I became a noble minister after exile" but compared to Mu wanyin FL in this had way more cheats. First I quite enjoyed the feeling of having everything under control. He zhiran was clever during the exile journey and all the family relied on her and all of in laws were great people which was nice for a change.

The ML was nice and supportive and I enjoyed their relationship in the first phase. But the story kind of downgraded in the... more>> second half after they reached their destination. The novelty of having a spiritual space and all those other cheats (believe me she has a lot) faded away leaving a feeling of monotony and incredulity. I mean it is a light novel not to be taken seriously but I couldn't get invested in the characters.
Spoiler

I mean cmon the farm in the spiritualspace which can produce all sorts of food? Ok I can handle. Taobao mall like ebay where you can buy and sell stuff despite the fact that you are in the ancient time? It's a bit farfetched but tolerable. But an actual off road vehicle from taobao? That went too far.

[collapse]

Also I don't like the ML and his family's after
Spoiler

the brothers return. Like all those women survived independently during the exile but after their husbands return tjey were once again turned into gentle submissive women completely disregarding their previous abilities. I mean sure they were in a patriarchal time but nonetheless it was uncomfortable to adapt

[collapse]
But after FL became pregnant it was like ML who became the protagonist and all the recognition of zhirans work landed on him. It was like they all deliberately ignored her abilities bc she's a women but thankfully mls family still valued her.

But surprisingly the direction changed in the third phase and He zhiran started improving women's conditions and stuff.
Spoiler

but I still don't like the so called Mo family men. I felt their loyalty to their country and fillial piety as the only good things they had. And I didn't like their patriarchal way of thinking their wives and mother as fragile humans who needed their protection.

[collapse]

I felt like the confidence and and assertiveness of the FL became dull as the story progressed. The only reason I hanged on was bc I was hoping for rejuvenation in fls character and her money making methods were interesting. But I was quite disappointed in the end but still the author did have the ability to add many uncommon tropes to the story which made it interesting and the main leads would always win effortlessly plus zero love rivals. <<less

I took away two stars from this novel. The first star is for the pacing and repetition issues. The second star is for the main characters being complete psychopaths when it's time to deal with their enemies. They repeatedly use poison, acid, and other despicable means to physically and psychologically torture people. Sometimes it's dressed as "torture works and we need intel, so anything goes", and sometimes it's dressed as "these people are so evil, so they deserve it." In either case, it's described in cruel, disturbing detail.

At the end... more>> though, it's one of the best "travel back in time with cheats" novels I've read. They use modern guns, cars, medicine, GMO crops, electronics, etc. And they don't just use them personally, they also end up developing a large territory. It's pretty satisfying after reading so many novels where the MC has cheats but ends up settling down with their love interest and only using their cheats to make money and treat themselves. <<less

Average if you're looking for an OP MC with every bit of conflict sorted almost immediately. Antagonists and the MC's family are just there to highlight how great she is. It's rare for the series to go more than 3 chapters without someone thanking her to the heavens and her humbly saying 'it's nothing'. Well it is in fact almost nothing for her. She rarely has to put much effort and a lot of her success comes from her space directly or indirectly.

That said it's a decent read if you're... more>> in the mood for something chill.

I do have one major gripe tho -

Spoiler

The ML has 8 brothers and his father that have 'died' in various battles/war. The MC/ML stumble on the fact that some of them are still alive and eventually over the course of 100+ chapters they find and rescue all of them. And of course the MC uses her divine medical skills to treat the poisons/gu worms/etc in their bodies. The annoying thing is every time they find another family member they go through the same routine with little variation. These 'touching' family reunions might have been better if they didn't rehash half the story every time they had to bring a new patient up to speed. As of ch 394 they've rescued everyone and the end of this is in sight. Now there's just the reunion between the wives and the husbands (the final three).

So far, I like how the story is unfolding. MC has too many cheats but that's fine. I love the FL and ML's interactions, they fall in love gradually. I hope translator-san continues the pace on uploading. Thanks so much for this gem!

Excellent story writing. (The translation needs a lot of work.) I will definitely reread this. I loved the MC and ML, they are down to earth and support one another. Their romance takes 200 chapters before anything intimate happens but it's worth the wait. The ending is satisfying as well. Worth the read.

Good but definitely to long, I had to skip some chapters. Of course, with so many advantages she had while transmigrating the adapting to another world was easy for her, how would she has handled those situations without the system?

Many people gave this novel a low score because the FL was too OP. I agree with this, but it's no problem for me because my main reason to read this story was because of the heartwarming family relationship. It's worth reading if you only consider this aspect.

Overall, this novel seems like a combination between two novels I previously read:

1. After I was Exiled, I Became a Noble Minister. Similarly, they earn money by selling things in the road to exile. It has longer chapters so the description about the... more>> business was more detail.

2. General, Your Wife Requesting Your Return Home for Farming. It's similar in term of gathering ML's brothers that's supposed to be dead during war. But, again, it's described more comprehensively (and also funnier 😁). <<less

It is a little long if you are not used to the traditional historical Chinese novels. I found the storyline was interesting myself. The main character was a little too OP with cheats with some pretty ridiculous situations, so just suspend your common sense and read for entertainment.

Rating: 4/5, scoring based off of novelty, writing, translation, plot, enjoyment. I added a star due to low reviews.

Summary: He Zhiran is a military doctor in the 21st Century. One day, as she's touring an exhibit on the famous and tragic hero, Mo Jiuye, there's a devastating earthquake. When He Zhiran opens her eyes, she's transmigrated into the body of a 16-yr old girl with the same name as her who is in the process of getting married to Mo Jiuye. Although initially confused because the Mo Jiuye in her... more>> history didn't have a wide, she quickly realizes that there's no time-- the Emperor is going the exile their household the next day. Luckily, He Zhiran's military clinic, including food and weapons, has become a magical space that she can access. Together with her Suprise husband, his eight widowed sisters-in-law, mother, and younger sister, she embarks upon the journey to exile. On the way they learn that the mysteries surrounding who wants her in-laws and husband dead are convoluted and bring both pleasant and heartbreaking surprises.

Let's talk about the drawbacks of this novel first.

The main character is very very very OP due to her cheat. At no point in the novel do you need to worry about her. If she doesn't have something she can buy it on Taobao. If she doesn't have the money on her account, she can sell antiques from the era she transmigrated into to the future. If Taobao doesn't have the specific item she needs, she can ask her VIP customer to get it for her. She just happens to run into major figures in history and win their approval and help. The arguably greatest villain is pretty much nothing in comparison to her, to the point that the author realized this and made her pregnant at the time of the confrontation with this villain so that she wouldn't cause the villain to get absolutely bodied in a flash. MC is pregnant and having twins which is dangerous and everyone is worried, her older brother just happens to be the inheritor of a divine doctor and focuses on gynecological issues so he shows up and fixes the babies positioning.

The theme of the story is that people who are good are all and all good and honest people and that people who are bad are out and out bad. MC's in-laws are "good" so there's no politics or complaints amongst them. Not one of her sisters-in-law cause trouble for her. Not even to complain about something minor. Everyone just thinks the sun shines out of MC and is happy about that. The people who are "bad" regardless of the level of badness, are all treated awfully by the narrative. For a novel that tries hard to showcase plotting and twists and turns, there aren't many and people are very conveniently grouped. Every person that does evil is from a group that does evil and a family that does evil and suffers for it.

People who trust MC's family are just unconditionally on their side. No questions asked. No conflict of interest. No personal ideas.

For all that MC is a modern military doctor, she's totally fine with her husband torturing people and helps by making poison and medicine. She has little to no issue with a lot of the barbaric practices of the time like torture, coerced labor, human trafficking, etc. But the author makes her a feminist at the very end of the novel.

All of this being said, the relationships between the family members is very sweet, MC lands on her feet every time, and there's a happy ending for almost everyone. It was an enjoyable read, if not a particularly amazing one. I'd have rated it a 3 or 3.5 but wanted to counteract some of the 1 stars I was seeing. <<less

I say 3.5 not a bad read but not great

What I find refreshing and different from this novel is their family harmony there are no jealousy or schemes within the in-laws they are so united you don’t find that often in this kind of novels

What I’m irritated with is the mixed up of names and the form of address it can be confusing at times if you don’t pay attention.

FL magical space: If I ever transmigrate I want her golden fingers! She has a golden fingers of the golden fingers.... more>> The things that she originally has in the space can regenerate (unlimited supplies) she has TaoBao app that she can buy and sell just about anything. Then her space level up and gain farming lands everything can be done with a touchscreen no manpower needed way too OP <<less

I found some repetitive things in this story, such as:

    • Whenever MC made something new, ML's family always praised her for her awesomeness
    • Whenever someone's sick beyond cure in that era, MC miraculously already produced serum to cure that illness
    • Whenever ML's brother came back home after their "deaths", they would always kowtow to old madam and said how unfilial they were
    • Whatever problem there was, MC could always buy it at taobao
    • Etc
Logically, it's boring because I kept running at the same scene over and over again but because I read this due to MC's OPness, I tried not to mind this details. I also read this despite its low rating because the premise was quite light. Of course there were some conflicts here and there but MC could always solve it. I also love how peaceful ML's family was despite its numerous sister-in-laws. There was also no love rival in sight so don't expect some face slapping moment because there was none.

I'm a bit disappointed with the ending though because it felt like the author overlooked some of the recurring characters, such as:

Spoiler
    • ML's father and 4th brother was almost crippled after being rescued but MC was confident that she could cure them. However, until the end, they were still not completely cured and they always blamed themselves because they couldn't go into a battlefield like the others.
    • I thought MC would groom Mo Hanyue to become a physician but Hanyue was faded into a background after she got married. In the end, she even had to follow her husband to capital and we don't know for the rest.
    • What about the He family who was exiled at the same time as ML? They're never heard again after settling in one of the village. Maybe because they couldn't make another wave since they didn't have any other man to uphold the family?

Its good. It's cliché. Translation is good too.

I've read a similar novel where MC had space and was exiled as a wife of ML along with him and his family. There MCs space came from an object that was passed down to the wives of the family and very few could unlock the space. But here MC carried her space from modern times.

The story is the cliché kind with nothing new to offer. Not necessarily bad but having read quite a few similar ones, kind left a bland taste. But... more>> if you're new, you might like it. As the only reviewer don't want to scare people away. So please read a few chapters before deciding <<less
