It been long time that I read it. It was a good read tho. MC reborn and redeem himself. ML suffered a lot in past life cause of MC. It's about how MC and ML survive and their journey. Because MC knows about future they didn't suffer much

Hmmm 4.5 but can be rounded off to 5, MC /Qin Chi 2nd chance in life. Although he did prepared for the incoming apocalypse there are many diff factors and butterfly effects fr his previous life. And Zang chi??, best ML/best Beta !!! Really deserves to be love by MC. More on MC and ML adventure with their friends. Meeting new friends along the way with villains to face off. This novel explained why there was zombies unlike other novels. Some of their adventure was thrilling/suspense for me especially there... more>> are NO superpowers here. People /die here and there. And yes there are side couples. Headsup that 1 side couple started together because of ABO world. Don't worry they will face it and talk about it if they really wanna be together. MC&, ML which is Qinchi And Zang zhi agood couple of AB. It was better that Zhang chi is Beta since being an Omega during apocalypse was really a hassle.

And not Both MC and ML is reallyyy handsome hahaha anyways the author here does nt use too much flowery words to explain a charcaters's beauty/handsomeness. Each chara MC's friends have their own strength and weakness. 1 of their main attitude that I like is the loyalty to each other.

Am good with the ending👌since it's only a history repeats itself and they know how to fight back the zombie virus. For the future children actually am also ok if the author will provide extra or None at all <<less

Not even in one chapter or any moment I feel bored. The story either gave such a Happiness, Fun, or Tension, or Anger toward the Villains.... But never bored.

Apocalypse story with Omegaverse theme. No Superpower. The Zombie get upgraded. Some losing power outage. But they don't totally lose connection with Internet and stuff (it's there and not because Extreme climate change and natural disasters). This what I actually think of 'Realistic Zombie Apocalypse'. Internet don't immediately just begone. It took them long realistic situation, even without the author mention it,... more>> before things like news just begone.

The No Super Power really make things even intense. Especially because the Extreme climate change and Natural Disasters.

It's just a Big Thank God they have Golden Fingers aka the Magical Spaces to easing their hard life.

It helps that our MC is not an idiot (after he realized how blind idiot he was in previous life. Though it did mentioned he already 'wake up' before the rebirth, even before ML's death). And our ML himself was Smart. Both are not the so called Power Couple, but they absolutely a Smart one.

Their teammates is also all Great people. Absolutely Loyal to the end. And the people the chose to help also Loyal to the end too. So it's nice to see no Betrayal theme.

The side CPs though... One was expected from hints, the other was I Would Never Expected That. But I enjoyed both anyway.

But what even more wonderful was after an emotional moment, came a happy revelation at the end of the story. Such a Great twist.

Anyway I Truly Absolutely Enjoy and LOVE THIS NOVEL SOOOOOO FREAKING MUCH FOREVER ETERNALLY AND BEYOND IN ANY UNIVERSE!!!

But I would love to see this have extras though... The ending is not rushed, but would be more lovely if there's extras... Just saying 😜 <<less

I fell, this novel is somewhat between 4 to 5 stars.

The writer was able to excellently produce tension. In the beginning, when the Apocalypse broke out and everyone was fleeing, it kept me on my feet. The story is keeping the emphasize on the journey to the already established base and the problems on the road.

If you are looking for base building and leveling up, this will not be a story for you.

I love the different characters and even the side character are fleshed out pretty good. Unfortunately the antagonists... more>> are rather 2d and really easy solved. That is one reason for me to give out only 4 stars. The different family problems are easily solved and come kind of episodic. Like "now we have this one problem, now it is solved, and now we can open up the next problem". Also, the foreshadowing is rreeeeeaaaaally super obvious. When ever a character is like "oh it would be nice to have XYZ", you can count on it, that exactly the whishded thing will appear or happen. That was kind of anticlimactic and stole some of the tension.

The end seemed a bit rushed and there are sadly no Extras. I wouldn't have minded to read another 100 chapters, but the story ends not too long after they reached their now home. Even the "finale battle" where MC was waiting and looking out for, was baically ony a side note.

About MC and ML... it would have been nice to see MC more "working" to get the love of ML and it was never really explained how ML fell in love with MC in the first place. There was some scrutiny at first, but ML is pretty much a sucker for MC and is doing what ever MC wants him to. Although he is no doormat, don't get me wrong.

About the zombie and apocalypse background, it is something "new". I do not want to spoiler too much, but in the end it is different from the virus trope and so is the solution for the finale outcome. MCs rebirth flapped a lot of butterfly wings and changed the lives of more people than his closest ones and even changed the fight and maybe the length of the battles to come. Since the novel does end rather early it is not known how long the apocalypse will last and how exactly the battles will be fought.

About the translaition by smolOwl, it is pretty good readable and edited. I can recommend it.

Would I recommend to read this novel? Yes I do, especially if you like the parts "on the road" of zombie novels. I had fun and will most likel read it again at a later time. <<less

Fun self-indulgent read. ABO and Zombies? Two of my favourite tropes in one novel? How can I not be weak?

Really enjoyable, the story focuses more on survival and the characters' struggle on the road as they looked for a good settlement. I also loved the camaraderie and the found family.

The romance between MC and ML wasn't given much focus later on down the line and I was mostly ambivalent about them, but I shipped two of the side CPs hard and found myself invested in their stories more ... more>>

was not gonna say anything, but I really think 3.9 is a bit unfair so I'm leaving a 5 stars to boost it.

let me just say this. I have never read any apocalypse story before (except for ORV but thats an entire different genre on its own) because the idea of zombie and disgusting monsters terrified the freak out of me.

so, by chance, I came across this story.

to be fair I still can't stomach many parts of it so this automatically fell under the ban of story not to read... more>> while eating in my archive.

surprisingly I read all the way through the end.

romance: really great tbh. although its rebirth, and the MC was legit scummy and a bastard before, he didn't immediately fell in love in the last few seconds of his life in a dramatic flashbacks in his death.

later it will be stated that in the last 2 years of first life MC and ML actually grew closer together and depend on each other. MC actually fall in love slowly and wake up from that despicable Green Tea Btch's manipulation slowly too.

it was not blind revenge. he already had time to think over how everything went wrong in his life. he already spent time getting to know ML before. so it was not simply 100% about "this person was the one who stay beside me" (although I dont think that idea is bad too, but the idea that MC has fallen in love before the moment of betrayal is really fresh to me.)

even so, MC still hasn't done enough in that life in my opinion so I think the rebirth is really appropriate to give him time to repent and properly love and protect his partner.

story: honestly, I have no idea. I have never read this trope before. but seeing that it keeps me reading despite me not liking the genre must count for something, right?

plot: SO GOOD! the foreshadowing was done so well! you might want to say the ending too abrupt if you just skim through each chapter, but if you pay more attention, you will see that this is already the best possible outcome for the story. which brings me to:

characters: its written so well. they're not mindless main and cannon fodders. they actually have their own characteristics, and you can understand why certain things ended in certain ways. you might not feel satisfied if you want faceslap and revenge left and right. since the beginning, he already stated: he just want to live well with his beloved and friends. nothing else mattered. so they will not suddenly become big Buddhas or important figure, neither will they lead in saving the entire world. but they're all safe and sound. in a literally apocalypse with zombie all over the place. what more do you want?

a friendly note though, you should pay attention to the TL's TWs. this is not a story where you can argue about morals. its so chaotic, like, zombie and ABO? yeah no. you can already imagine how bad that combination can go...

really. if not for the fact I HATE zombies and gore with passion, I will totally re read this immediately to catch the details that slip through my attention when I was sleepy while reading. if you never read any before like me, you should give this one a try.

edit: one important detail im not satisfied with: how the hell did they get married? why in the world would ML fall in love with such a person before? did I somehow miss that part? I honestly don't know. <<less

I don't like stories with "reformed s*um gong" (I think it's called like that?) but I LOVE novels BL in the middle of the apocalypse so I started this one waiting nothing.

And I'm glad I did. Yah, is kinda long but there's almost no filler between chapters. Kinda loved MC with is resolution to love is ML and save him and his friends. And if I think about the story I would say is kind of slice of life? And some gore, the usual. Not much drama.

And I'm still thinking... more>> about the HUGE butterfly effect is rebirth had, loved it. And I'm surprised with how the author explained the reason for the apocalypse.

Recommended, truly. Might reread when I don't remember. <<less

Let me start by saying that this novel was actually way better than I expected it to be! I loved the characters, especially AnAn and Zizi not to mention Muzi is my sweet son and I will protect him not matter what.

On the other hand, I can’t really say I was too happy about the redemption of the s*umbag because while he got a do over I don’t find it fair that he was able to win his love over so easily. Especially when he got to see where the... more>> fling with the nephew went. It’s unfair because it doesn’t erase all the sh*t that ZiZi had to go through in either life times even if he “straightened up” in the second life time.

I also feel like the author was just way to vague about a lot of plot points. How and why did those 2 get married but only after Zizi suffer and die for him did he fall in love? Like then what was the purpose of their marriage? It doesn’t make sense. Like if it wasn’t out of love to begin with then why or how did zizi fall for him?

I really wish the author gave us precise ages, because we’re talking about how the MC was raised by the ML after his dad died, but then they’re married? How’s that even happen?

there were other points that I felt were just to vague, but since the overall story was fun I can easily get over it. But what I will say, is that I wish there were some extras about the apocalypse and how they finally ended it and about the family and babies they managed to have. <<less

Putting on hold for now. It's okay, but I'm not interested enough to struggle through MTLing it. Some of the initial decisions the MC and ML have made are really dumb.

There is a lot of gore, which I'm usually okay with. I don't love gore, but if it's important to the story I'm okay with it. The gore in this story though rubs me the wrong way. I really appreciate the translator bolding the gore parts so that's it easily skipped.

I was pretty underwhelmed when I started reading, but as the story progressed it grew on me.

Good points:

Despite the golden finger and unrealistically comfortable life the main cast is living, they are all really good people that suffered greatly in the past life, so the MC coming to the past and ensuring all the ones he loves are safe and sound is comforting. In this novel, a**holes get slapped and good people live to see tomorrow, this may sound unrealistic but it was extremely satisfying to see someone... more>> who was truly trying to succeed and actually doing it.

The apocalyptic part is really interesting and well done, it is not only surviving zombies and collecting food, but also considering climate change and natural disasters, plus additional supplies like medicine, gasoline, clothing, etc. The explanation of what actually happened and the fact that the protagonist did not know some parts was also perfect, it was properly foreshadowed and hinted.

The main couple starts together from the beginning, but they do work out on their flaws and fix their relationship. The redeemed gong dynamic is really strong, as he truly shows repentance for his actions and actively tries to become better.

The main cast is ADORABLE, their found family is beautiful and their dynamic is hilarious, I loved every single one of them and (a little spoiler, although he translator also mentions it in their notes) most of them get partners, so you have a ton of mlm side ships!!!

In my personal opinion, I absolutely adored Wen Jia's and Zhao Fengnian's relationship, I wish the author had wrote extras for the side CPs, but even then their interactions in the main story were perfect.

Additionally, a great translator who really showed commitment with the work and reasonable footnotes.

Not so great points:

The book is generally slow-paced despite being short, there are events that lasted for many chapters that I suppose could have been reduced. Instead, I feel that the descriptions of the past life were too few and vague, although the MC does eventually explain the main events, it is always his interpretation of them and not a proper flashback, leaving many things unknown. Although the main CP fixed their relationship, I wish that the MC could have communicated more with the ML about their relationship and how to fix it rather than it just happening. Actually, the MC and ML where a bit bland compared to the main cast (since everyone has development I guess their development was overshadowed), the ML particularly felt completely different than his version of the past life, but since it was not properly explained I cant be sure.

Overall, it is a 3.8 more than a 4, but I decided to be generous bc it a great book regardless and it had some really valid points. The overall hopeful message was comforting and I enjoyed the interactions of the cast. Don't let the negative points discourage you from trying it out! <<less

Thank you for translating this!

First off, the ratings are honestly way too low for this one. I understand that people have their own opinions but personally, I loved this.

This is one of those rare ones where the ML despite having committed grave mistakes actually repents for it and does his best to rectify it unlike some other that I've read. I really was impressed by the way ML mended his relationship with MC and the highlight was how much of a strong couple they proved to be.

The plot was also... more>> very realistic, wit realistic reactions to an apocalypse. The zombies were a plus point to the plot.

Overall, a smooth and bittersweet read. <<less

Okay novel. I think I would've enjoyed it more if I wasn't bothered that ML, Zhang Zhi, was MC's, Qin Chi, guardian after his parents died when he was a child. This info isn't much of a spoiler since it was revealed in the first few chapters. Also, MC and ML's marriage seemed to be forced on MC by ML. The novel doesn't get into the specifics but I could then understand why MC had such a disgust for ML in the past life. So yeah, I kept thinking if... more>> I was MC's parent, I'd want to beat up ML and put him in jail.

Also, the nature of 80-90% of the mob characters are immoral and villainous. The goodness of the ordinary population is degraded too quickly. Either that or MC and ML must've been consistently unlucky to bump into so many baddies. Yeah it's fiction but there is a certain amount of realism that should be maintained.

In general, the plot is somewhat predictable with omegaverse adding some flavor. Not a bad novel, has a happy ending...

As the intro states, there is a "space element". MC's friend and ML have space boxes. These boxes can store a lot of their needs. Their group is able to live well.

It turned out that the apocalypse started because some foreigners raided an ancient tomb and stole a coffin. The coffin was ground zero for the zombie virus. The coffin was also the key to resolving the zombie situation. However, the coffin was damaged. Later, one of the space boxes was able to fix the coffin. It will take years but now there is a way to slowly reduce and eliminate the zombies for good.

Nice slice of life story but some of the details are unbelievable tbh. The face slapping is mediocre, often happens off screen. Cute relationships and interactions within the group, not too much drama with the group itself, but just know nearly everyone else is a pos. The development of the actual apocalypse details have me scratching my head but I can easily overlook that to focus on the slice of life.

Whoah, what a journey! Worth sacrificing a whole night reading until morning.

Your typical regression before doomsday type. With quite detailed preparation and good rolling main story with high tension.

There is no fantasy ability user here, only a team of mercenary and other survivors banding together to stay alive.

... more>> The story also focusing in each character's relationship developments, reading this feels like going into an RPG game.

The only minus is the climax tho, before, the firearm battle are very good, the depicting of preparations also very much feels real. But the last showdown need more work.

It was pretty good for what it is. I actually liked these type of zombie apocalypse novels where it’s almost slice of life, following the MC through their journey. I loved the group so much and the author does well in integrating new characters to the group that it doesn’t ever make you feel like the newer people to join their group is an outsider.

I just remember vividly how my entire body got goosebumps every time they mention or come across the Red Zombies. My imagination of it scared me... more>> so bad which is a first for me.

a lot, a LOT of mentions and descriptions of omega r*pe/assault.

I was all in up until the part where old yuan ended up assaulting the omega xie brother and literally raping him. I know of course it’s abo and there’s always going to be a “suddenly going into heat” plot point but that was particularly disappointing not only because it’s just horrible all around for the omega xie brother, but that old yuan was never a character where you would think he’d do that. The author literally ruined his character for me. Not sure how old the omega xie brother is but I was under the impression that he’s really young. It does mention he was in the entertainment industry for a long time so I’ll just make it up in my head that he’s at least 30 for the sake of my sanity.

Anyway, I dropped it at chapter 133 because that’s my number one ICK. Skimmdd the ending for the zombie reveal but yeah. It was okay for me overall up until that point. <<less

MC redeeming himself by treating ML well and saving people along the way

Alot of dog food between MC and ML though we want to know more about the past like how ML become so obsessed in love with MC. We only got one line about it in their childhood.

Alot of children gore unexpected, tons of Omega ab*se, Climates and natural disaster / humans are the main troubles.

There's no super powers here which is refreshing, characters are not OP, but they have halos above their heads so there's not much tension... more>> even if they get in danger.

It's a fast read and a straight forward story, easy to understand, every relationship will some how link together, you won't get explanation alot, there's alot of resource collecting chapters so be prepare for that. <<less

Okay. Nothing special. It's nothing special because I have read a lot of novels like this one already.

What can I say is the ending is abrupt. It's too sad that there's not even extra and special chapters.

What is different here is the zombie apocalypse origin was explained throughly.

... more>> Too bad that the baby of the ML and MC was not written. It's just announced that the MC is pregnant and he experienced pregnancy symptoms.

There's not a lot of antagonist and they were able to solve the antagonist easily. No major plot twist. I enjoyed reading it despite the fact that it is fluff.

You won't be able to enjoy this if you do not like fluff and if you are looking for stories that has a lot of challenges.

I MTLed this one.

Why are there any farming tags in this one? Lol. There's not even farming in the story. I was waiting for farming to happen! I expected them to farm and cultivate plants and vegetables so that the food won't be scarce and they will be able to contribute to society. Can someone delete the farming. It made my hopes high but turns out there's no farming related here. <<less
