The Male Lead Ran Away With My Ball

Shen Tanqi transmigrated into a cannon fodder senior brother in a cultivation novel. Out of jealousy for the male lead’s good fortune in the original story, he constantly obstructed him everywhere, only to meet a bitter end stabbed to death by the hands of the male lead at the foot of the Bloodthirst Cliff.

Only by completing the plot could he return to modern times.

When Shen Tanqi transmigrated into the book, the male lead happened to be out traveling, leaving Shen Tanqi to revel in his ‘salted fish’ life without both the male lead and any mission.

However, fate played a trick on him. While picking a spiritual herb, Shen Tanqi fell off the Bloodthirst Cliff, got poisoned by a strange venom, and was forced to have s*x with a mysterious masked demon cultivator, repeatedly.

From that day on, Shen Tanqi was shocked to find that his belly was growing day by day.

Everyone said transmigration carries risks, but no one told him that men could also give birth to children!

After ten months of pregnancy, Shen Tanqi laid an egg at the bottom of the cliff.

Yes, an egg.

On the day of the birth, the demon cultivator, who had been cultivating at the bottom of the cliff, carried his egg away and said indifferently, “You can’t raise it; I will.”

Shen Tanqi: …Alright, good brother, I’ll leave it to you.

Coincidentally, he had no desire to raise a child, which suited him perfectly.

With that, Shen Tanqi left gracefully. Three years passed, and just when he was one plot away from returning to his modern world, he happily invited the beautiful junior brother he had long admired for a chat over drinks to have a heart-to-heart talk.

But just as he was about to bring the junior brother into his room, slightly drunk and hazy, someone kicked the door wide open, catching him in the act. The intruder’s eyes were bloodshot, holding hands with two adorable three-year-old kids, sporting a pair of dragon horns on their heads.

“Shen Tanqi, you’ve really been quite the player these years, huh?”

“Where have you put me and the kids?”

Shen Tanqi: Who are you?

From the side, the junior brother exclaimed, “Senior Brother Yu Ce! You’re back from your journey!”

Sounds familiar.

Yu Ce.

Yu Ce is…

Isn’t he the male lead of this book!

#What should I do if the male lead, who raised two kids for me, catches me hitting on someone?#

#Does getting stabbed with a sword hurt?#

#Can I still run away now? QAQ#

Looks good based on the chapter I read and based on reviews but I got bored with this so I dropped it.

I got bored with this so I dropped it. I might read it again next time. I'll edit the review once I finish reading this.

Imagine my chrome browser with loads of tabs open. That's what I do. It kept piling up because eI often got bored and won't close the tab because I might forgot where I left off. In order to close the tab and keep track of... more>> my progress, I'll review all of this instead today since I have free time right now. <<less

Loving the beginning so far. However MTL is a pain to read through so I’m waiting for the translations!

Our protagonist is a salted fish kind of character. A little naive, a little dumb and an air-head.

ML on the other hand had a terrible childhood and is cold to others, keeps to himself. But melts after he meets our protagonist.

Story progresses really fast and author doesn’t elaborate on unnecessary things. Awaiting to see how it goes.

It was fun, wasn't as serious as I imagined

Everybody is lovable and adorable

It is really fast pace but the plot is easy to understand and you enjoy seeing MC and ML together

... more>> The babies are so cute and I want hug them so bad! Little bun and little goldfish

Everyone is so accepting of having babies and men being together that's just nice.

This is really a comfortable novel that heals you, like how MC slowly heals ML and them being so loveable together with their children. All the characters are super nice in the novel apart from 2 idiots hehe <<less

Giving it a 4 to help bump the ratings up a bit. It's not a perfect book, but it is perfectly readable and pretty enjoyable overall.

It's mostly humor, with adventure, family, and romance thrown in. Very light and pretty fluffy. I enjoy MPreg and this was pretty ok for it.

Things I didn't like about it that are just personal preferences (causing me to skim most of the ending and extras) :

Spoiler

There are a lot of loose threads. Despite the numerous extras to stand as an epilogue, this story tried to do so much, but ultimately couldn't tie it up well.

This also affected the pacing a lot. Things felt like everything was going so fast, but at the same time, feeling like it was a never ending read, with all the tangents it tried to do.

But I was honestly willing to look past that and even give this a 5 star, until the author decided to shoe horn an angsty ambiguous secondary character at the later half of the book. I might be reading too much into this, but the way things were translated was super ambiguous, and it was never made clear if said supporting character was gonna be part of a basic loving adoptive father-son dynamic, or it was going the romantic relationship route.

Soured things for me. Had to skim most of his scenes. I was honestly gonna knock down the rating to a two or one if anything did actually happen between this randomass shoehorned secondary character and MC's bro. It felt pretty sequel-bait-ey.

This is a cute story with both ups and downs. Don't mistake this story as your typical system transmigration into a book story because you'll be very disappointed with that idea. Mainly because it's nothing like those stories for instance: ... more>>
Spoiler

the system is pretty useless until almost the end of the book when the main character wants to return. However, the main character squandered himself as a salted fish throughout most of the novel till mid- end when he finally got serious. So the MC is basically not OP which is okay, but also not so knowledgeable about both the book or the memories of the so-called "original body". In the end you find out he is the original soul for this body anyway; which was a great surprising twist. Quite enjoyable. However; this being a system novel was more of a meh until the important "plot point of the book" so don't get your hopes up in this being one of those system transmigration novels.

On another note, the kids were cute. And I gave this novel 4 stars because it had a good cozy atmosphere. It was worth the read. <<less

An awesome read!

Very very fast paced! If you're into face paced novels this is definitely for you! The pregnancy incident happens 3 chapters in! And the birth a few chapters after that so it's a nice change from those other draggy novels. 50 chapters in and the vibes are like the story would end but then you realised that the novel is over 100 chapters long and you can't wait to see what's next!

It's also a very fresh take on transmigration. Major spoiler ahead

Spoiler

the MC got to return back to the modern world to say goodbye to his siblings. Later, his siblings also transmigrated into the cultivation world too!

[collapse]

And the small plot twist are all great! Another major spoiler ahead

Spoiler

turns out the MC was originally from this world. God knows who was in his body when he was in the other world though. And also, long ago when his mother was searching for a cure for his illnesses, the mother saved the 10 year old ML who has just left the Hidden Dragon Valley and they were actually destinies to be with each other hoho

Everything was very well tied together!

An absolute gem!! Read it if you're contemplating!!!! <<less

it was a fun read.

when I choose to read novels with kids, I love it when they arent just the last 10% of the story lol. the kids came out relatively quickly and I love them all. I wished we could've seen more about their family life w the kids at the end but it is what it is. I am still satisfied.

overarching plot is not that bad, there are instances when I'm like damn bro take care of it otherwise it's gonna bite u in the ass and it... more>> did but it didn't annoy me, so it was acceptable.
Spoiler

the MC is the og MC that was sent away due to a disease and until there, I kinda still accepted it but I dont think they ever said who was inhibiting his body during the time he was away tho. I think the story could've been better if they just didn't use the system plot at all and just say that the MC got transported into a novel bcs I find it hard to understand/believe that it's a real world and not a book one when the system tries to make the plot follow the original plot like in the book, by sending in fixes to get it of the 'bugs'. to me, it now sounds like it's an 'imaginery' world where the system gets to play 'god' and yet I'm supposed to believe it's a 'real' book.

welps, the more I write and think the more I'm like '???'.

anyway that's the only 'gripe' I have w it HAHAHA.

oh there was a part where MC was trying to find his way back but went to the past and the future. bruh that part made me sad, I don't rly like it when stories explore parallel timelines bcs I'm sad for those that didn't have the 'anomalies' aka MC. basically trauma from orv HAHAHAHA.

[collapse]

the leads are kind of like the stereotypical males don't have any say and wife has all power kind of family vibes but in a fun way.

I truly like the ml, he's a responsible man and... idk what else to say but I like his character alot.

the MC is well the MC, he acts the way he is due to how he was brought up and I can't/won't fault him. <<less
