In a campus romance novel, the male lead is a rebellious and arrogant school bully. When he meets the quiet and soft transfer student, he transforms into a devoted “little wolf dog.”

Qin Xiaoxiao wakes up one day and finds herself transmigrated into this novel. However, she hasn’t become the transfer student, but instead a cannon-fodder character with the same name—his beautiful and talented first love, who ends up being dumped by the male lead.

Using unscrupulous means to stop the two from meeting? Scheming to keep the male lead’s heart?

Qin Xiaoxiao turned a page of the book and decisively refused:

“Too exhausting. Studying is far more interesting. It’s better if he just breaks up with me quickly.”

As the transfer student finally arrives, why does it seem like the male lead has forgotten about breaking up with Qin Xiaoxiao?

One time, after failing to invite her to meet in the grove, the male lead, dissatisfied with Qin Xiaoxiao’s growing indifference, awkwardly asked:

“Is that book better looking than me?”

Why are the side characters constantly sucking up to the ML and female lead. The author portrays both characters as non chalant and mysterious. I don’t understand why the ml’s close friend chases after him like there’s a clear power dynamic and it doesn’t make sense, relationships don’t work like that. The female leads parents constantly want to please their daughter but it’s exaggerated to where I see the FL holding her parents at gun point. The author keeps pointing out the male leads good looking features every chance they... more>> get. Can we hear more about his thoughts or personality and not just “ his beautifully sculpted brows furrowed”!!!! Another thing is the female lead is a bit blank. Everything regarding her encounter with the male lead, it’s always her deskmate saying something and up till chapter 20, there is no chemistry between the leads at all. Barely any plot progression or character development. <<less

What’s the point of this being a transmigration story? It’s not crucial to the plot or anything, it would’ve worked better if it was just your ordinary slice-of-life high school romance.

I gotta agree with the previous commenter that the handling of the side characters were rather poor. The biggest victim being Bi Chun. Tbh, I feel sorry for her.

Especially the part where the “World’s Consciousness” made her have visions of the “original” plot. Which to be honest, is a big cop out just to introduce a drama that eventually fell flat.

[collapse]

I didn’t like how she was written quite submissive toward the FL, like begging for her friendship in a way.

Another thing is, because the author is so locked on with the main leads, it felt incomplete as a whole.

Ji Hui’s (ML’s father) gold digger 2nd wife

Okay read. Though I wish the author was less wishy washy about the characterisation of side characters like dong yunfang and bi Chun, I feel conflicted on whether they are good/bad, likeable/hateful. I wish the leads got together sooner though, they only get together in the last few chapters and that's not enough sugar for me!!

This is actually a good read it's literally a daily life of female lead in her high school days don't expect too much drama coz this is a light read. This read feels like a story of the strict parents of a rich character in a typical novel.

Actually if your searching for a good read don't focus on the ratings or comments, You as a reader you should have already know your own taste of genre in every time you search for something good read.

If yesterday your taste genre was... more>> Action then today you feel like reading Sci-Fi then this is not for you yet to read maybe you can come back again then try if your taste of genre is School life/Slice of life.

That's why I said this is a good read coz while I'm reading this my current taste was School life a light read no dramas whatsoever and I enjoyed it. <<less

That's by far, the most bland story I've ever read. It's not the most tr*shy, okay, just very bland. Let's say, there are elements of plots, right? Like introduction, rising action, climax, falling action, and denouement. The story started with the introduction, and then followed by the rising action and then denouement or the end. It's as bland like that. There were some "potential" conflicts that were foreshadowed but all of it were not mentioned anymore. It's like the author forgot about it or decided to just end this once... more>> and for all.
Spoiler

For example, what about the "world consciousness" trying to do with giving visions of the OG plot to the OG FL? Is there no scheme or evil plot created by the ML's stepmom?

[collapse]
Anyway, usually, I don't really like conflicts in the story. I like relaxed one, but this one? I don't think it's about the conflict. More like it's about the depth. There's not much depth to it. Not much character development for the leads and definitely not much effort into tying the loose ends. 6/10. <<less

This is just a calm school-life plot. No dog blood drama, no villains or any heavy twists. It slow development romance (that it might be bland sometimes but I still enjoyed)

Qin Xiao Xiao (FL) transmigrated as the girlfriend of Ji Wenchen (OG ML). She corrected some of original owner's bad choices and studied hard. She's too calm and collected... that sometimes she felt too stoic to others and too focused to studies, but she's good person nonetheless.

At first, idk how will leads' relationship will work bc both leads can... more>> be cold and kinda cardboard sometimes (and slow development)... but still works in the end. <<less
