From the prince of the demon world whose heart was gouged out by his lover, to the domineering president who was used as a stand-in, to the handsome master who fell from the altar… Qin Yu has traveled from world to world, playing the role of pitiful characters one after another and has experienced countless bad lives. He thought that he would always be ab*sed by scum, but he didn’t expect that one day he would return to these worlds again, and he didn’t have to go through the plot again——what is he going to do next? Of course it is to hurry up and say goodbye to Zha Shou, and then return all the pain he has suffered in the past.

The first arc was pretty good, a little melodramatic but interesting, unfortunately the second arc completely ruined the whole story, the MC's personality defined in the first arc does not hold up to the point that he seems to be another person, there is not even a shadow of the MC from the first arc, cold, calculating and thirsty for revenge, the MC of the second arc is flirtatious, childish and too lazy to take revenge on the scum, if that were all I would read it assuming it was... more>> another story after all each arc is independent you can read it that way, but the problem is that from this arc onwards the plot holes begin, the inconsistencies, and the entire plot to follow that had been established is lost, for example: the main point is supposed to be revenge, and in arc 1 the MC not only takes revenge on the s*um but also does it with other characters who participated, like Qin He, there was a character who loved him but was guilty of being indifferent and cruel, how can you say you like someone when Are you indifferent to his suffering and his plea for help? So the MC, although he didn't take revenge, didn't forgive that guy either. This makes us think that arc 2 would follow the same plot model: punish the s*um and not forgive those who don't deserve it, but that wasn't the case... The plot completely falls apart in arc 2, in this arc the MC is the scum?! WTF! isn't the title supposed to be "The Man Who Was Scummed"?? and the main goal is not revenge? but there are no characters to get revenge on here and the MC does nothing all day but get involved with potential love interests, he doesn't actively seek to do anything, he also doesn't show any signs of wanting to improve himself so that the s*um will regret it he just lives a normal life, completely different from the model that was established in arc 1 and the one presented in the synopsis where the MC is fed up with the suffering and eagerly awaits the fall of the system to be free...

👆 This is just what bothers me the most but there are also cases of abrupt changes in perspective of the characters, one moment you are reading about one and the next paragraph about another without any warning, which is disconcerting, there are also sudden changes in time, the author switches to the perspective of another character and it turns out that several days have passed, those characters do and say things that make you feel: when did this happen? What did I miss? and so on, it has many plot flaws in the writing

In short: the plot, the story's context, the MC's personality, etc., all fall apart after the first arc, and the story is riddled with holes everywhere, almost seeming like it was written by someone else. Very disappointing... <<less

This is a really good read. I love cold and apathetic protagonists. I love it when they choose people who have always loved & supported them instead of falling into a crematorium. The revenge is also satisfying.

Thus, I don't understand what the heck Akih4645 is talking about. Demon Prince arc :

Spoiler

Xun Ling (og protagonist) is not a victim. He chose to disregard the good relationship he had with Qin Yu. He chose to not investigate the truth. Even in his second life, he chose to ignore his conscience and curse Qin Yu. Everything was a product of his actions. Qin Yu brutally died in last life and thus, a victim. Please don't compare the two.

CEO arc

Spoiler

Wen Ran (og love interest) was such a delusional character. How could he confidently break his contract & smear his company before securing his next job? How could he chase after a CEO (twice!!!) who didn't know him with such confidence? 😭

This arc threw me for a loop because there were so many potential love interests. Gave me 2nd ML syndrome

This novel is not bad, but it's not good either. I think it deserves 2.5 stars (or 3 when rounded up). The author likes to complicate things, which is detrimental for the romantic progress in quick transmigration.

Spoiler

In the first chapter, I already guessed that Jiao Yi and Qin Yu are the main couple, however, Xun Ling's ending is just terrible. The author could've just give him a decent ending, at least let him move on from the past.

Xun Ling x Qin Yu is the very definition of "what if".

Although it appears that Qin Yu was the victim, but in fact, the real victim was Xun Ling.

He was the victim of deceitfulness and misunderstanding. He never got a happy ending in the first life, and he also never got the one he loved in the second life.

The faceslapping is okay, but not as good at other QT with seme protagonists.

Compared to "Cannon Fodder Is King, " this novel is several blocks behind.

Even the goofy and sweet QT called "Beloved Husband" have more satisfying faceslaps.

I enjoyed it. It had many of the elements I enjoy in this genre without any frustration or long dragged out misunderstandings and it was short enough to binge.

I recommend it if you enjoy QT BLs with OP MCs.

The premise of the story is interesting, featuring Qin Yu as a world traveler who constantly suffers at the hands of s*umbag characters. However, despite the promising idea, the execution leaves much to be desired.

The first major issue lies with the protagonist. Qin Yu is introduced in the first arc as a cold, calm, and carefree person, creating the expectation that he will maintain this personality throughout the story. However, as the arcs progress, his personality changes drastically to the point where he seems like a completely different character in... more>> each new phase. This inconsistency hinders reader engagement and makes it difficult to form a genuine connection with him.

Another weak point of the story is its superficiality. Despite the premise of multiple worlds and the idea of revenge against those who wronged him, the narrative fails to develop these aspects properly. The plot is shallow, many situations are conveniently resolved, and there is no depth in conflicts or character development. This makes the story feel like just a series of events without an engaging central thread.

The romance, which could have been a strong aspect, turns out to be one of the weakest parts of the narrative. The main romantic pair is poorly developed, lacking chemistry, passion, and a convincing buildup. Their interactions feel forced and, at times, completely illogical within the story. Instead of enhancing the plot, the romance ends up making the reading experience even less enjoyable.

Additionally, the story presents several plot holes. There are moments where events simply don’t make sense, loose ends that are never explained, and situations that defy the logic of the narrative itself. These issues make the reading frustrating, especially for those who prefer well-structured and coherent plots.

However, not everything is negative. For those looking for a quick and uncomplicated read, this story might be an option. The writing is simple, the chapters flow quickly, and there is no overwhelming amount of complex information to keep up with. If the expectation is simply to pass the time with something light, the experience may not be so bad.

Overall, the story has an interesting concept but fails in execution. With an inconsistent protagonist, a romance lacking chemistry, and multiple plot holes, it falls short of its potential. Still, it may appeal to readers who prefer short and easy-to-read stories. My final rating for this work is 2.5 stars. <<less

Well shorter than I thought, could've been longer I see alot of potential. I want to see more faceslaps!

I thought MC was the shou! Because ML's character setting seems more like the gong. I don't how that works but I like it hehe.

MC going back to take revenge against those scums who hurt him the first time after getting freedom when someone took out the *god* he takes his cute system with him and starts his revenge journey.

... more>> ML is just in love and sweet obedient dog, he's all for MC.

There's only 3 worlds, but it was enjoyable. First world seems longer than I thought, and there's other characters who also loves MC which I find surprising, but it's good surprise.

I feel this is a side novel from one of those longer transmigration novels and the Universe is connected. <<less

Generic overpowered counterattack MC and s*ave-like ML make a complete set with the same boring settings, tragedies, and reversals we've seen a thousand times. Even if the author's creative ability is limited at the very least the quality of writing is decent. It's unfortunate that despite knowing how to set up a scheme the author ruins it by having the MC spell it out to the reader. This is like a crime novelist having a character make some terrible monologue that reveals all the details of the plot just in... more>> case you, the reader, were too dumb to figure it out on your own. It's a little insulting that every problem is easily solved and then explained to you.

A lot of these problems play out in the first arc.

Spoiler

The most interesting touch of the first arc is the return of Lin He's memories. It's a shame that any potential this had was completely wasted by the author. His death in his first life can be considered as payment for his crimes. After all, he dies betrayed by the person he sacrificed his true love to save and ends as both a perpetrator and a victim. Of course, in his second life he is doomed to repeat his mistakes. He is, after all, a character in a story with a fixed fate. However, Qin Yu's freedom from the control of the Lord God opens up new possibilities. Now that he no longer has to fulfill his role he could change everyone's destiny. Instead he lets everyone fall into the mire again in order to watch them suffer. This revenge isn't satisfying. It's hypocritical and perverse. When he reveals everything to Lin He and Lin He regains his memories, he has already schemed against Qin Yu. Qin Yu uses this to justify sending him to heavenly prison to be tortured for a hundred years. The way the author writes this, it's clear they really want you to enjoy it, but what normal person could? The thing Qin Yu despises most is being controlled and yet he treats every other character in this small world like they are totally free agents. I guess since he's unable to confront the Lord God he's decided to enjoy torturing a bunch of paper men and even characters like Lin He who gain sentience aren't spared. If you like brainless violent faceslapping this is fine, but I find it totally uninteresting.

A good casual and short novel.

Honestly a bit too short maybe?

What I liked most is how it takes some time for you to find out who is the ml. It's very novel compared with most novels where the ML is always very clear. Always same kind of personality and identity. This one makes you wonder who's the ML until the mid of each arc which is very interesting.

On the other hand and it makes their personality slightly inconsistent. And it doesn't bother me that it happens to the ML since... more>> he doesn't keep his memories. He is the same soul but different people and you can feel it.

The problem to me is that the same applies to MC too... and while he is different people it feels weird because he have all his memories and plot information and doesn't matter if he goes ooc. So it's weird that his personality is not stabe...

But anyways... it's short, interesting and worth a shot. <<less

I've completed reading the story, and I must admit that the story is average. The antagonists, to put it simply, have such a low IQ I rolled my eyes every time they appeared on screen. While the relationship between the main characters is good enough, it's not very interesting or engaging. Also, the author's frequent shifts in perspective make for a confusing reading experience, at least for me.
