I read this novel some times ago, but still remember it clearly. Its impact is so strong, and It left me such a deep impression. My heart still aches for both of the characters despite this is the third time I read it. 😭 Why must I ab*se myself with this?

The companionship between the mermaid and a child is beyond beautiful. The child/young man was so innocent back then. He was full of hope and joy for traveling the world, however, the world is such a cruel place for those... more>> who have a dream.

I highly recommend this to anyone seeking for an emotional ab*sed.

I cried like a baby reading the part where Gerald vowed to become the hero of justice and then he will come back to bring the mermaid to the ocean of their dreams together only to came back with his shattered dream. The lost of spark in his eyes in the description is so painful. This is abusing! The mermaid is also very pitiful. 😭 My heart aches so bad. I really wish they both have a happy ending.

But rather to see his beloved smile as sweetly and brightly as he had back when he was young...

Anyways, What I want to say is that despite this being a oneshot, It really has good potential of being a novel... Aiya, I hope some author picks this up and turn my wish into reality hahaha, just kidding, but anyways, A very good story for a oneshot, I've blabbed long enough but just know, reading this won't make you regret it but rather wish that in the mermaid's next life, he'd see the ocean, and meet the young man with the sweet and bright smile on his face once again. :) <<less
