As soon as Jiang Rou opened her eyes, she found herself transformed into a fake rich daughter in a period novel.

Not only was she a pitiful cannon fodder supporting character, but she had also been knocked out by the real rich daughter and forced to marry an old man in her place.

Legend had it that the old man was disfigured, crippled, and burdened with two dependents—one big and one small.

She was supposed to struggle desperately to return to the city, but instead, she took the initiative to walk toward the man in military uniform.

“Comrade, I’m looking for Zhou Chongshan. I’m his fiancée, and I’ve come to marry him.”

“The marriage report has already been submitted. From now on, I am your husband.”

“Husband~ Kiss me~”

Jiang Rou knew that in this era, the safest place was on the island!

And this so-called old man—he wasn’t disfigured or disabled at all. Instead, he was tall, strong, had eight-pack abs, and was the Chief of the Legion!

Jiang Rou’s legs went weak just looking at him. It seemed her married life was going to be quite exciting!

Three months later…

The blushing Jiang Rou: “There won’t be a next time!”

The gentle yet coaxing old man: “Wife, I was wrong. But next time, I’ll still dare.”

More focused on childcare, relationships between the leads, so sticcckkyy, fluffy, cutesyyy!!

It's a pity that the author doesn't use the system and space to the max utilization. They only appear 3-5 times from the total 400 chapters. If you are not sure, don't mention it. The story will not have a big different change after all.

It's not (mainly focused onf) the story about how the FL becomes a rich landlord by using space to trade or system to sell, it's more about how she tames the ML with her demure,... more>> soft, virtuous side and conquers the children with her cooking skills.

BUT!! what I love the most about this story is the relationships of the two pair of supporting roles couples!

With the chaotic misunderstandings, abusive loves, masochist hearts, FOR YEARS... THOSE TWO COUPLES ARE ANOTHER LEVEL OF DOG BLOOD DRAMAS... too much blood. But happy ending ofc. Lol <<less

This one's really good. The setting is in the 1980s (I think?). There are still tickets, industrial coupons, and people who were previously sent to reform being reinstated. Most stories like this focus on starting a business or making money during China's recovery, but this one is different.

The story takes place on a frontier island, so the focus is on improving local life and supporting the surrounding villages—not business, but genuine community development. That alone makes it feel refreshing.

I also loved the girl power in this novel. The MC has... more>> a group of strong, kind female friends who support each other without drama. The MC is a great mother too, and her kids are adorable. Her eldest child is mature but still gives you that satisfying childcare feel.

Romance-wise, it's fun and light. The MC clearly loves how open and straightforward her husband is—unlike the more reserved male characters around them. Their relationship stands out because of their clear communication, which also contrasts nicely with the messier love stories of her two friends. Those side romances are actually more emotionally intense and have deeper struggles, mostly rooted in miscommunication.

There are also other conflicts beyond romance that keep the story engaging. Overall, it's a great read. It ended a little too soon, and while the author promised extras, I haven't come across them yet. Still very enjoyable as-is. I'm not really concerned about the system and her virtual space. It feels unnecessary and it did not appear again after some time so I just forgot about it conveniently. <<less

Honestly it's not bad. It's decent for fluff and family interactions. The MC and ML have a great relationship so it's the side pairings that are fun to read about (there are two major ones). Like the misunderstandings and miscommunication or lack there of is so frustrating. Assumptions abound like crazy. But as the reader we basically feel the same wavelength as MC. She's the melon viewer along side us.

I honesty was hoping more of the two golden finger jades MC has. But I think it was just a convenient... more>> plot point for the author to give an easy reason why MC basically never suffers lack of anything. Additionally, it's a slice of life so we can just assume various other daily life things we don't know about is happening unwritten.

A decent amount of the story also involves childcare. And these children actually have personalities. So it's not boring.

Other than the romance and childcare, it's food and cooking. That takes up a bulk of the writing. I used mtl so I didn't have images but I think the novel has good pictures added.

The antagonist is simply very annoying tbh. That's all I feel for her. She suffered so much but her personality and mentality is reverted back to her younger days? But also a little psychotic. And it seems she has some unknown power making her feel that MC is a threat. I'm not sure why she isn't more mature? There is a major antagonist and a minor one. But both get their karma results and don't appear too frequently in the story. Pacing was standard for slice of life. Only the ending felt a little abrupt.

I couldn't find the extra so I couldn't read it but it seems to be about the side pairing. <<less
