At first, I liked the story because the couple has great communication. There aren't any misunderstandings in the sense of her hiding things from him. When he asks something, she tells him the truth. It's actually him who keeps some things hidden, especially when it comes to his feelings.

There's a nice s*xual tension between them—a well-done slow burn. I really enjoyed that... until I realized the author totally missed the timing to actually heat things up.

There's no s*xual assault, and I honestly don't get why this was tagged as a... more>> dark romance on Dusk Blossoms. The most that happens could be considered harassment. It feels more like a story that was going to be a dark romance, but the author changed direction halfway through.

It's a good read up to a certain point, but I was disappointed with how things turned out toward the end.

Yet again, we have a ML who's borderline villain for most of the novel and then suddenly changes personality completely—no pacing, no gradual shift, just instant transformation.

It's not that he was outright bad throughout the story. It's more that he had mixed feelings toward the FL—and then, at some point, he just suddenly gets over it.

And honestly, if he could move on that easily, he should've done it way earlier. <<less
