So far it's a good novel, I read it in mtl translation, and some things I did'nt understand, but it's quality is good, MC is very lucky person, and there is a a lot of misunderstanding like in Overlord novel

I forgot the chapter number but I read about half of the total chapters, maybe about 150ish chapters. You will like it if you like fast-growing overpowered main character. The con is the side characters are bland. They have no personalities, all of them can be described as just "mc's loyal followers". Although I dropped it when spaceship started to appear, overall it's a really enjoyable novel if you like overpowered main character. It's interesting to read about a MC who has both power and wealth.

Starts off as a generic 'I became the OP villain!' story and transitions into a pretty good OP Misunderstanding story. Has my preferred traits of a good misunderstanding novel: the MC actually wants to and puts effort into becoming OP and networking, the comedy/misunderstanding is in the difference between HOW he tries to go about it and how it actually occurs, while the result stays the same.

It's a mindless super light-hearted comedy where the MC just kinda exists and then people misunderstand him as amazing. It has funny moments so it isn't unreadable, but definitely not good.

It comments on tons of tropes and then proceeds to do them, even after saying how annoying they are. As an example: ... more>>
Spoiler

it talks about the original MC being dense and ignoring women and how it causes readers to throw their phone in frustration... and then it does the same. The first skill he learns is the kama sutra, but he hasn't given any woman a second glance and I'm almost halfway through

[collapse]

Definitely ignore the evil protagonist tag, he constantly gives charity and doesn't want to hurt anyone. Same with pretty much everyone in the novel, there has been only one single character (named or unnamed) that has died, despite a large number of battles. Especially egregious:
Spoiler

He drops a giant meteor and destroys a castle that people are living inside, and manages to not kill a single person

To be honest this novel is completely not worth it, first of all I would never given this a read if I had noticed the HAREM tag, but... hmm there's a lot love interest candidate but no romance or any chemistry whatsoever from what I read so far... 😶 Second the author spent a lot of time describing how rich he is and all the bad thing the previous owner has done has been washed away by him giving money, so basically no one will be running after his life,... more>> well kinda of boring turn of event with no tension. well there is no much development of the plots not till where I've read not even after 70Ch. anyway it's just decide to drop it.

And finally I don't understand, but please stop comparing this one with TCF, it's a insult to the author and us the readers who loves TCF. Besides there is no point of comparison it's like comparing heaven and Earth. <<less

Amazingly fun story, not too complicated and pretty simple, but leaves you with enough interesting tidbits to keep you coming back for more. The only sad thing is that it wasn't longer, but by then the story would have just looped too much, and looking at how the author really seemed adamant about making every new arc different and unique, it kept it fresh and enjoyable. Great novel, will definitely be something I'll reread for many months to come.

I specifically made an account to just give people a heads up on the s*upid nationalism that goes on in the novel. The novel itself is alright but the plot seems slow, the idea and conflict between the main character and the OG protagonist quickly smothers out and we don’t even kno w the guys name until like 30chapters in. It’s basically overlord but if the author had a targeted hatred towards China, Japan. Now I understand there was ancient history and a sort of grudge between the countries but the story sort pushes this in your face. The idea that you love your own country is not wrong however the “plot” of the novel just really shows the ignorance of the author. British people are just fancy wizards. Chinese people are just c*nts. Japanese people are equally just c*nts. I enjoyed the novel but every time the china japan thing appears it feels like a fly in my soup. Apparently nobody was calling this out in the reviews as though there is a double standard. After writing this review I can literally sense the racist people who think shitting on China is ok simply because of their narrow world view. Overall, give it a try if you don’t mind nationalism however I just simply can’t stand the s*upid ignorance that the author shows

This is quite literally the best comedy novel I've ever read.

I don't know how he did it but the author parodied at least 7 different genres in one seamless story.

Active sometimes has issues with translation quality and consistency, but in this case it's very high quality all the way through.

It had me laughing out loud and grinning almost every chapter, it's just that good.

10/10, 5 stars, must read.

It’s a fantastic novel if you understand what you’re reading, an easy op MC wish fulfillment story with little to no tension and some great comedy. Something you read when you’re tired of other genres or need some stress relief. The villain part was also a nice twist.

Can't tell if this is a two or three but I'll put it at a two

This story is quite frankly pretty bland money man has money also hes genuis good looking loved by everyone nothing like the original villain no no no hes perfect or something some sorta king aura something of that like. He feels op because he is simply it feels like what a person would do if they were transported into rich villian of their favorite story and its kinda boring certainly there's this totally could've been... more>> me aspect but yeah just power fantasy theres nothing in this to give me any sort of suspense no action nothing really making go oh wow sure there this evil kings but it just feels so unrelated and like a side note this is boring bland uninteresting and at best a somewhat poorly done mary sue story

read some of the other reviews and yeah I guess the start was good but I mean it wasnt anything crazy sure it pulled you in cause its fun but no sustainability in it and rereading it makes me wonder why I liked this novel at first and the misunderstandings kinda just feel like a yup moment from me dog <<less

I would give it zero stars if I could. I can’t love the MC, I find his thought process illogical and scum. So your bodyguard is supposed to kill you but somehow you find her relaxing cuz she’s pretty? Enough said. To each his own, this is certainly not my cup of tea.

I binged this story after reading the other reviews. It’s really really funny and quite lighthearted with a good dash of adventurous spirit. It’s honestly been quite therapeutic for my soul and a nice break from all the serious, revenge-filled dungeon/returnee/etc stories out there

Give it a try! I really enjoy this kind of story

I'm so glad this novel being picked up again. I really love this novel's light mood atmosphere, not like other heavy and make you sad novel, this one always make you laugh. I know compare to other high logic novel this one look childplay, but it make you happy that is good enough.

Until some point in the Story I really enjoyd the Plot. But im a little confused...

In the begining the MC said something about a Hypnosis ability and awakening, but later he just dived into the Dungeon and startet powerleveling. So my question is, did the author changed the powersystem or did I Miss something ?

This is a fun novel where the MC gets trapped as a mid level villain of a web novel that he read but didn't really care for (he dunks on the supposed author all the time for lazy writing). The beginning is a little whiny but he pretty quickly embraces it all with just balls to the wall ab*se of the system, his powers, and future knowledge.

Not a terribly serious novel at all. There is almost no actual fighting. Most things get resolved with a comic misunderstanding, accident, or some... more>> fun twist. It doesn't feel lazy, though. It's a really good level of writing for what it's going for. Nothing is completely unreasonable or random to try and be funny.

The premise is similar to another novel on this site Villain wants to Live (which is also good) but completely different in tone. This is a light hearted romp whereas that is a more grounded work. <<less

An interesting story just don’t take it seriously. A light hearted comedy full of plot armor and misunderstandings at its best.

For most reviews that complain about length development or it being flimsy didn’t get the memo. The first translator split a chapter into 2 to 4 parts so a person the read 13 chapters in is in fact just reading around 4ch.

Give this a try it’s one of the most popular in active trans site!

Well, it was better at the beginning, bit still pretty good. Better than most works of this genre. If you're liking this one, try The Villain Wants to Live. It makes this look just so-so in comparison.

It was fun in the beginning but after awhile it gets too wacky for me and childish, its a pity because it had a great start.

Pretty happy with how the story's going currently, the initial chapters were uploaded by another translator, it takes some time to get used to the pace. Active Translations picked up the novel from chapter 20 something (iirc) and they've done a great job with the translations.
