He Mianmian transmigrates into a novel as the adopted sister of He Wenchuan, the story’s biggest villain.

He Wenchuan is a possessive sis-con, spoiling his sister to the point that she becomes a reckless drama queen with a tyrannical personality.

Mianmian doesn’t want to turn into a drama queen, but if she doesn’t follow the plot and act out, she experiences intense pain.

Left with no choice, Mianmian decides to save He Wenchuan, and in turn, save herself.

The most effective way? Break the alliance between He Wenchuan and the scheming supporting actress.

However, something goes wrong along the way. The original plot had He Wenchuan getting set up and ending up in an unspeakable situation with the villainess. But in the end, it’s Mianmian who falls into the trap herself!

This kind of love (or obsession?) is very exhausting. The ML literally psycho lol. Every characters around FL seems like to have an automatic filter about ML & FL’s relationship. It’s like the only sane person in the story is the FL, but in the end she also broke down.

The story is fairly short, but pretty enjoyable. People who like a powerful and controlling ML would like the story.

But the part when people found out the FL and ML “forced” to sleep together really frustrating to me. Everyone just naturally accept it like it was the most normal thing to do. No one sympathised FL when she literally confused and afraid of her brother. Even the aunty who supposed to be the “mother” figure just started to planning their wedding after she found out. She was like, “oh you guys finally sleep together? Excellent, so when is the wedding?” Like is that even make any sense? Lol.

A light, quick read with a touch of taboo— that's the best way to describe this story.

Clocking in at just 60 chapters, it doesn't dive too deeply into complex plots or themes. Instead, the narrative revolves around the intense, sometimes unsettling relationship between the leads.

The male lead's obsessive, possessive love is full- blown yandere, while the female lead's youth (she's 18, he's 28) and their pseudo- sibling dynamic add layers that may not sit well with every reader.

Although they aren't blood-related, the years they spent living as siblings make their relationship feel borderline in*estuous. And yes, I've read elsewhere that in China, adopted siblings sharing the same household registration can't legally marry-but this is fiction, so I let it slide.

Another uncomfortable situation is that the beginning of their relationship didn't seem consensual (despite the author fixing this relatively quickly, with heroine starting to accept the relationship)

The age gap is also significant, but she's a legal adult, and personally, I don't see an issue with consenting adults loving whomever they choose.

Whether it's an age gap, same- gender relationships, or anything unconventional, I say live and let live. If it's consensual, it's their business, not ours. ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́) ✧

Now, back to the male lead. His brand of yandere is hardcore-dangerously so in real life but admittedly entertaining in fiction. That said, he's undeniably a bit of a perv, which the novel doesn't shy away from, as hilariously pointed out by the female lead (*≧▽≦) ﾉｼ))

"Other people's love is like a romantic youth idol drama. Mine? A passionate love p*rn film! Why?!"

Moments like this gave the story its comedic edge. One scene had me laughing out loud:

One morning, the heroine, He Mianmian, was brushing her teeth when the hero, He Wenchuan, casually walked in, shirtless, lifted the toilet lid, and took out his 'big brother.' Through the mirror, Mianmian's eyes widened in horror before she squeezed them shut.

"Can you leave me some space for beautiful imagination?" she spat out, toothpaste foam still in her mouth.

His reply? Without any fluctuation, as he washed his hands, he smiled and teased her: "What beautiful things do you even imagine?"

Scenes like this shattered the hero's cold, villainous image in the funniest ways. The absurdity of these moments was enough to bump my rating.

Overall, while the story isn't groundbreaking-more of a 2 or 3-star experience-it gets an extra star for making me laugh and for Aunt Lian, the adorable, open-minded nanny who stole the show.

It's a short read you can finish in a day, with some fluffy and funny moments along the way. Don't expect literary brilliance, but if you're in the mood for something light, quirky, and slightly outrageous, it's worth a shot. <<less

This story focuses mostly on the evolution of the relationship between the two leads. They get together early in the book and the rest of the book shows how their relationship evolves. The ML's feelings for his sister are very intense from the beginning. They've always loved each other but it changed from deep familial love to a passionate romantic love. Towards the end, I felt sorry for him too but it's a happy ending so no need to worry. It was a nice casual read, I hope I can... more>> find more like this in the future. <<less

As for the plot, it is decent, or specifically, it emphasis the relationship between MC and ML, less about the problems involving them, whether it's business, politic etc, so don't expect much on this side, but you can

Story was okay and the pace was average... but tge way their relationship shifted from siblings to lovers was a little too awkward to digest... till last chapter it was fulfilled ending... what surprised me was the friend FL made in zho que (she was also a someone like FL) we got to know in last ch nice plot nothing new though you can read it if you are searching something for time pass
