An internet troll who wanted attention, the reader criticized his favorite web novel, saying: “The protagonist is dumb and the author is s*upid.”

Author: “…Got it.”

Unfortunately for him, the author actually listened to his (troll) feedback. The formerly lighthearted tale of a cute harem master suddenly became super dark and edgy. The reader could only helplessly look on as the protagonist was ab*sed and betrayed, finally embarking on the road to becoming completely evil. Everything was a mess!

After that the reader transmigrated into a strange world. How come the person in front of him looks like the protagonist (evil undead version)? Just what is going on?!

Note: Du Zhe (读者 meaning Reader) and Du Ze (杜泽 the character’s name) sound almost the same

I'm usually a silent reader but this novel is so good that I just can't help but confess my love. (I'm very picky with characters) Not only the story has character development but also character building, you can easely simpatise with the MC and ML trought the their backgroud. I'm giving 5 stars for the characters, the plot and the pacing of the romance.

warning: the relationship is not really healthy (personally, I have a weakness for possessive ML - I really love them)

I really really really love this novel... I only eant say that this novel is really good plot wise as well as romance wise and the MC and ML are very likable. Despite being cold and ruthless to others Xiu is so gentle and sweet to Du Ze.. (though very Yandre but a good one). All I want to say is this story is really worth a shot and deserves 5 rating.

I have read the raws till the end even if its machine translated which means some sentence doesn't make sense. But even with that the case it still managed to keep me reading till the end. I think what charms me was that the relationship between the two couples and the story. We have a seme whose love is very obsessive and possessive which can came out as not charming. However the way I see it the ML character gives out a unique charm because aside that it matches the... more>> plot, the ML personality differs between 8 races and the two personalities are present but does not contradicts each races own stereotypes that has been set up. The main character (uke) is the most unique. He does not possess combat nor magic, he has his own skill but it does not help in the most dire situations. But in those situation is where he truly shines. Personality wise he is the opposite of ML and very loyal towards him. The relationship between MC and ML is not instantaneous at first and as the story goes their relationships progresses slowly. Along the way not only do the love between them are being develop, their character also changes. The plot is pretty simple and interesting. There's also a bit of mystery that doesn't leave it left unknown and were revealed later on. The author thought everything well through and one could ask why the ML fell in love with the MC in the first place? Or why the MC would fall in love with the ML? If you began to read and pay attention to the details the author provided when the two are together added the background the two main protagonist have there you'll find that why they are meant for each other. I would definitely recommend this and for others to give this novel a try. <<less

This novel is a true pleasure to read. Once you start you will not want to put it down because you will become obsessed with what the crazy duo of the MC and ML will do next. Will the MC and ML closer? Will the ML level up? Will there be a new rival? As you read more the more deeply you become entrenched with the unique characters and the twisting plot.

The translator does a great job and I cannot wait to finish reading!

I like it. This is one of the few novels I really look forward to updating. We have our darling family's reader who is socially awkward due to his hearing problems falling into a world of a novel he is absolutely tsundere about to help the moe lord whom he had accidentally sent from a golden hero path to a dark villainous route. Add that the moe lord, all eight forms of him, is a total yandere for our reader, I completely ship these two.

I'm not saying this novel will... more>> be for everyone, please read through all the tags before proceeding, but I completely enjoy every bit of this novel. The story is imaginative, the characters are amusing in their own ways, and the translations are superbly done. We are, maybe, forewarned of what is to come between our couple and I'm all "noooooo" but I really look forward to how it's going to end.

So don't be scared away and give this a chance. It's always good to try new things (with an open mind) ! <<less

ML possessive kinda cute & sometimes cool.

The story worth attention, don't drag, don't lag and surprises us.

The translator and editors do a great job actually releasing a half of a chapter per day! It is really great. As it is written in the official review: The main POV character is an ordinary person who got transported into the world of the novel he was reading. There he encounters the protagonist...

It's a story of the struggle of the reader, who encountered the truth of life of the books MC, after his thoughtless comments about the books plot to the author made a huge damage to the story. He feels guilty, he sympathize with the MC and tries every way possible to revert the harm done to the MC. It is a bit silly, but interesting story.

While the ML's backstory is tragic (due to the MC) their interaction with each other is cute and amusing.

MC (with a permanently stiff facial muscles) who trolled the author and got a black ML transmigrated to the world of ML due to a doujin and foolishly (accidentally) stealing the lines of the other characters. At the end of each chapter the author shows an excerpt from the "novel" which shows how the appearance of the MC within the novel changed the story thus we are treated to sight of seeing... more>> the progression of the MC's value to the ML.

At the same time we see how foolishly and endearingly oblivious MC is towards the burgeoning feelings of ML. In this novel we have two characters whose EQs are low and yet terribly self-conscious.

This novel is basically the novel version of a well-written fluffy, hurt and comfort self-insert fanfic. <<less

I hate to be honest, but this is completely overrated.

I have a lot of issues with this novel to the point where I'm going to drop it. In my honest opinion, the biggest contributing factor of making me absolutely unable to keep reading is the way it's written. The author writes in such a disjointed way that the narrative of the story is not only hard to follow, but confusing and quite frankly unimpactful emotionally. Just imagine this on par with a text/twitter fic. I tried my best to finish the novel because I love the MC and the premise and wanted more of the world building, but this novel is just poorly written. <<less

i liked it enough to be entertained. I liked the plot and how the MC is deaf!! Its really rare to see disabilities written about so it was a nice thing! Sometimes though I did feel like the ML was a little flat? Like very cliche but it was still enjoyable nonetheless, I read around 62/91 chapters, I probably would’ve finished it but cause I got so busy in between I didnt have any motivation to finish it. ALSO BRO?? TELL ME WHY IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS THESE TWO TWIN SISTERS WHO WERE f*ckIN??? Like it was so weird and uncomfortable and it was justified as being similar to two men being in love.. Like no? In*est isnt the same as homosexuality. Thankfully though they left pretty quickly and weren’t important. And not to mention and they were a part of the ml’s harem anf were “turned straight” just a really old and nasty rhetoric people still have.

Around chapter 50-60ish there was this one smut scene and it seemed really non-con to me.. A writer created a fictitious world. In that world the protagonist's life move smoothly that a reader, even though liking it, decided to comment on the non-existence conflict. And so, the writer decided why not give the protagonist a harsh life. A story that should have been all sugar and spice suddenly took a 180 degree turn. The reader, feeling guilty, somehow got suck into that world. And so, his task was to assist the protagonist on his journey to immortality.

This story is really unique. I feel like there aren't many fantasy BLs that take the time to fully illustrate and build the world. The author skillfully includes this along with the main story, which in itself is quite good. I loved the MC and the ML, and their relationship (while, albeit, unhealthy) was aptly built up to.

I would say that this story is a bit long. To be perfectly honest, I didn't really hate that because it made sense with the progression and the ML getting each race's abilities, but I feel like a lot of these arcs could have been shortened. Otherwise, I really didn't have any problems with this story.

The ending made sense to me. I was so happy the two of them reunited. The reader and the protagonist definitely have to be in true love, and true love conquers all. Both the ML and MC were able to accept each other fully and trust the other with unwavering loyalty. Even when everyone around the ML doubted him and his cruelty, the MC was always on his side. And though I don't agree with some of the things the ML did, I do think that sticking together with him despite that really proved the MC truly loved him.

All in all, great story! I would rate it five stars, but it did drag a bit. I also did skim/skip parts that bored me. It's not perfect, but it's damn good.

ive read this novel once before and started re reading recently, unfortunately I dropped it at ch 19.

i gave it 5 stars because first time readers might enjoy this as much as I did at first.

... more>> however, reading it a second time and knowing whats going to happen next, spoiled it for me.

during this second read a lot of problems which was avoided during my first read, popped up again and became like an annoying leach that wouldn't let go.

so the following is a review based on the second read.

the MC really is adorable and honestly its sad how he had to hide his emotions because of the bullying when he was younger.

including the self blame the MC had because of the way the ML's life went.

i have no problem with the MC and find his actions of wanting to pair the ML with every heroin funny.

the problem with this novel which was difficult to avoid was the fact that the ML had The Reverse Florence Nightingale Effect, where the patient or care- receiver falls in love with their caregiver.

and the MC's personality I would associate with the Florence Nightingale effect, where a caregiver falls inlove with the patient if not Stockholm syndrome.

i dont feel like the MC and ML had real feelings for each other, but rather their situations forced them to that.

the MC was straight from the beginning, was thrown into a strange world, was nearly killed by the ML, then tortured by having spells practiced on him like he was some kind of guinea pig.

after that he was forced into a blood contract where he could be killed at anytime, then he was stuck with an overly obsessed ML.

The ML was betrayed time and time again, tortured, hunted down and faced damaged repeatedly which could have killed any ordinary person.

all of this are serious causes which can affect ones mental state.

in all honesty I fin the part of the novel where the ML blackens very believable, and I feel like that part was very well written.

so it bothered me to see the progress of the "romance" while knowing that these two individuals unknowingly are forced into this.

if the romance part was removed then this would have made a brilliant psychology novel.

to be honest if I had to re read s*umbag system then I would have most likely also not have had a good second read and the review will probably not be as positive, which is why, re reading it is still a serious debate.

but overall I would recommend first time readers to read it. <<less

MC is a mostly deaf and extremely myopic (to the point that the way he describes his vision without his glasses is pretty close to the description of being legally blind) internet troll who leaves negative comments on the chapters of his favourite webnovelist's work, because that's the only way to stand out from the other fans and get the author's attention. This backfires on him spectacularly when the author replies "got it" and starts torturing and blackening the protagonist until he goes completely evil and destroys the world. Things... more>> go from bad to worse for the MC when the printed version of the novel he ordered turns out to be an explicit doujinshi instead, and it then transmigrates him into the world of the novel - right at the point when the protagonist had decided to embrace revenge and being evil. MC decides he must stick by the protagonist's side, give him unwavering loyalty and affection, and thus turn him away from being an evil stallion protagonist back to being a sweet stallion protagonist. Instead, he succeeds in turning him into a yandere non-stallion protagonist. Very enjoyable story, and an interesting take on transmigration. <<less

I just love this. I came from the manhua and immediately became hooked. The story is so engaging and it wraps everything up so well. The fantasy, pacing, action, romance, and comedy are all awesome. I laughed so many times. I was even questioning my sanity (in a good way) by the end of it. The translator did a wonderful job. This is my first BL web novel, but I think it's the start of a new addiction. Will definitely reread some time in the future.

This was one of the first BL transmigrations I read. It was years ago and reading through it again was still mostly fresh cause there were many things that I forgot. MC, Du Ze, doesn't talk much due to social phobia but it isn't necessary cause ML, Xiu, always puts MC first. He pays close attention to ML's micro expressions to try to understand MC better and fulfill MC's wants. Actually ML is a super obsessive but not in the "I'm going to lock you up cause it's all about... more>> what I want" kind of way but the "You can go where you wanna go but I'll be there with you." It's kind of scary but not too scary.

Anyways, I enjoyed the romance. The first time I read this, I don't think I read the NSFW chapters. So I gave it a go this time... ahhh 😂. The plot has a lot of action and the ending is a happy one. So I enjoyed giving this novel another read.

MC and ML were already a couple and had already slept together at this point. They got into a situation in which ML was forced to eat an aphrodisiac so he would mate with other females. ML resisted and escaped with MC. At this time, he was out of his mind and forced MC. MC understood that ML was not himself and did not blame ML.

Now for the plot spoilers

MC was summoned into the novel by the novel's "Creator of the World" (CW). This character realized that he was actually not the so called "creator" and that there was another higher level entity who was the real creator but did not know who. MC knew the real creator is the author of Mixed Blood.

CW had seen ML become stronger and on the course to be the Supreme God. However, if ML becomes the top god, then CW would have to die then. To prevent his death, he turned back time to before ML became powerful. He also summoned a higher entity (MC) to kill ML. MC was summoned because his comments to the author made it seem like he hated ML. CW thought MC was then willing to kill ML.

At the end of the novel, MC unwillingly went back to his world. ML searched for MC in the novel world and tried to summon MC. In the end, MC's comment to the author helped ML come into the real world. They reunited and ML took over the creative control of the novel world from the author.

Definitely not the worst thing I've ever read. This is one of the novels that helped me get hooked on reading webnovels, so I may be a little bit biased in my review.

Now that I've now read several novels, I feel a bit more critical of the writing in this story. However, when I first read this story, it was like a whole new world. I enjoy the way the MC seems somewhat unique from protagonists in other novels. Something I also liked was the MC's "power", which was really creative and I found it one of the more interesting parts of this story. The writing of the story doesn't feel super immersive, but I still enjoyed it without being provided a lot of detail. Additionally, the translation was easy to understand and digest.

However, I didn't enjoy the SA/rapey scenes or vibes portrayed at certain points in the novel. Similarly, the ML fell into the overdone "domineering and possessive" personality trope. While this was portrayed pretty well with the story and he had a very valuable reason for being this way, it can sometimes become bland when so many love interests in romance stories are portrayed as such.

Overall, I'd probably give this novel a 3-3.5/5, but I rated it a 4/5 since I... more>> initially enjoyed reading it when I first discovered it (minus the SA. Nobody likes that). <<less

A book for those moments where you need an easy, fun and, yes, pe*verted reading.

We have all had that book or books where we would like to meet the protagonist, live adventures with him, know his world... and that is just what happens to Du Ze. But this reader must face a small problem and that is that it has completely destroyed the story of the protagonist.

"Mixed Blodd" has become a chaotic world where all races are on the verge of collapse and where "the rules" try to keep the... more>> story going despite interference from the reader among others.

Still, Du Ze is determined to save the protagonist and may not in the way he intended at first. <<less

THIS NOVEL IS REALLY OVERHYPED!!

I CANNOT BELIEVE I WASTED MY TIME OVER ON SUCH SO CALLED CUTE/SILLY READER MC AND MOE ML PROTAGONIST.

Idk who needs to heed my advice but I’m a serious as a heart attack can be.... but truly there are really good ones out in the fictional field that deserve your time and worth even if they don’t appear on lots of recommendations like this one!

Even for smutty and papapa’d I think I had better than this.
