Ruan Tian had been in love with Shen Shu for a long time. She pursued him fiercely while they were young, and was crazy for his love.

The journey was great.. I'm a sucker for stories where the FL doesn't go back to the ex-husband.... what I can't accept was the ML she ended up with... she mentioned time and again how she was tormented by him...

if you're looking for dog blood drama type beat, this is it- read the tags; plot is funny and moves along quite fast, but sometimes a bit too fast and cuts off awkwardly, and you're left like "wtf why didn't they continue?" BUT it's really entertaining if you wanna read something to pass the time, plenty of face slapping, tortured MLs <3, FL rises to the top etc the usual fun stuff

FL is great, a bit OP but wtv. she's money-driven throughout which is #goals, but I guess after she... more>> achieved her acting empress status it faded off and now the little bit of care and kindness by the ML overshadowed her trauma that was coincidentally also caused by the same dude. like yeah, I totally get why his gentleness would move her heart but like why not someone else besides her bully... wtf anyway.

MLs are sh*t goodbye I cannot believe who she ended up with when there's a whole ass Shao Chengyao (ok I forgot his name but yeah the director's son) that literally exists and had all the potential of being a really decent ML but ended up as a side character with 5 appearances total maybe.

I absolutely loved how much the ex-husband suffered! it definitely was one of the best parts of the novel. (if u guys like tortured MLs I recommend 半截白菜's novels- 隐婚，替身，厚爱and 新婚; none of them are translated but all are 追妻火葬场 novels, though a couple of them literally have the same plotline but wtv)

read this entire thing in a whole day even though I should be studying for my finals. entertaining read but don't any of this too seriously, normal relationships shouldn't work this way. <<less

This series is OK. It has a lot of what I like: face slapping, fake white lotuses, Weibo gossip, and the FL succeeding at pretty much everything. She has the FL halo on pretty strongly, but that's OK.

I'm less enthused about the ML. He's somewhat better than some of the other contenders, but not by much. His actions as a teen were incredibly cruel and while he does realize later on how awful he was, his actions after that point just seem to be too little too late.

i like in the begining story when FL proof to be smart, have many talent, have high survival life hack, but I dont like how the author indirect message to audience.. That when FL still tr*sh they not pitty her not helped her and bully her, they deserved revenge as righteous act from fl.. So FL not pitty ML and sub MLs at all.. Because in the begining they not pitty her, FL keep saying no to ML when they changed FL think human can not deserved 2nd chance to... more>> mend relationship.. I saw sub ML qin who bully her so much actually just jelaous and not intend trully bully her because hatred or look down on FL even when FL still tr*sh.. And he ady say sorry and repent too.. All of the ML I choose qin yu.. But FL so blind.. So mean, so cruel to qin yu, so I dropped. <<less

It's a solid 4 Stars for me. Idc what the one star reviewers think, this novel is fun. I stayed up past 4am just to read this and still continue it after I woke up at 8 am. I finished 250 chapters in roughly a day. It's just addicting.

The plot is not hardcore, it's quite simple. The men were all psychos but the fact she didn't care about them is satisfying. The ex-husband still gave me stuffy feeling because I love me some angsty regret. He's a scum, tho, I... more>> won't root for him to be the main ML. The boss is also a scum, childish psycho, but he's a fun character, not fun as in funny, but interesting. The little brother type is a yandere psycho not much different from the boss, but his shell is sweet instead of bitter. So far, the only one who showed even a remotely relationship with her is the side character who only appeared a few times in the passing, Shao Chen-I forgot.

I love it. It's fun. No excessive dog blood drama <<less

It's aight but it gets REALLY repetitive once you reach the 100+ chapters. It's entertaining enough just to kill time but I don't see myself really finishing the entire novel.

I've already reached 150ish chapters and I already feel burnt out since there's literally nothing of relevant that is happening.

What a GREAT read! Dont be fooled by the low rating. Its a beautiful story especially MC's awakening and acceptance of reality. She is very strong and resolute. She knows her worth and not easily swayed.

I loved the regret scenes of the ex husband. Love reading when he's suffocated with regrets. The author describe it so well. I think the ex husband is the cruelest out of all the male characters.

To me the MC and ML suits each other. They are people with flaws. MC with her tunnel view feeling... more>> to her exhusband... ML with his immature and prideful ways.

Bullying is never easy to read, digest and forgive... But I believe with sincere efforts hearts may just moved and to me the plot n ending is realistic. Not like the MC too nice to the ML and forgive him everytime like spineless idiot. She is aware the guy is no good, rejected and push him away many times. Since the ML persevere... I think they deserve each other. This kind of redemption is more touching and meaningful to read...

Dont understand the low rating. Read and judge on your own... I think the author n tranlator really did a great job here... Cheers and tq for a great story! <<less

Reading the reviews here, most would probably not like this because of the shitty male leads. If you hate MLs who are selfish, brainless, and overall rude, it would be best If you don't read this. I love the FL. She's the 'I don't give a fvk about anything unless it involves money' type. Love how she always manages to turn the tides, with or without the help of the powerful MLs.

It's also satisfying to read how the male lead began to notice the lies and regrets. Though the constant... more>> hate brought upon the FL is quite exhausting, not because of how frequent it is, but how s*upid it was. For now, the FL shows no sign of warming up to any of the MLs. <<less

After reading the author's note about his insecurity of choosing the ML and opting for Qin yu, I feel disappointed, I think the title of the novel itself already gives you as a spoiler, following the title, the most obvious thing is that it stays with Sheng She but Ruan Tian decided to choose Qin yun, and I do not deny that Qin yun is a character with a lot of potential and material, but as we read more and more of the novel, the moments when Qin yu comes... more>> out are few, we practically see Ruan Tian falling in love with all the young masters, it's as if he had his own harem, after more than half of the novel I thought that there would be more shots of Qin yun but nothing, I got to chapter 80 and yes, there was already a little more of Qin yu in the novel, but not enough, Ruan Tian as the novel progresses, she opts more for her ex-husband, and it would have made more sense if she had stayed with him, because he regrets and does not give him a hard time, he tries to redeem himself, and yes, it is too late for it, but no I Possible because at the end of the day, Ruan tian kept thinking about how she fell in love with him since she was 17 years old, each episode always shows the melancholy and love he had for Sheng She, and please, Sheng she He tried to repair their relationship with all his might, I wish they both stayed together, as for qin yu, the self should recycle it and use it in another novel, because one ends up fond of him, even with all the bad things that It was, that is another reason that I did not understand why he chose qin yu as ML when he treated her so badly, for a long time, in the end I was still waiting for a twist in the plot that would explain more about qin yu's emotions, How did he feel, why did he fall in love with Ruan Tian, ​​what did he do when he found out that he had an affair with Shen she, why did he act like this, and the author never answers those questions, until the end, with all that resolved he would have helped me to understand more about why Ruan Tian stayed with Qin yu <<less

Excellent, I love the protagonist, it´s really nice the form that the autor made her spirit, so strong and so fragille. The romance part is not really big, at most I would say it was to make the story a little pink, cus she really deserved being loved.

I read this a long time ago and had no real opinion of it. Today, home sick and living through the dumpster fire of democracy in my home country, I have a much more positive opinion of it.

Heroine Ruan Tian is just trying to live her life, folks. She’s really had her heart broken by all the people in her life - parents to boyfriends and classmates- and the ending to me is a bit like a stray cat finding a warm place to rest. She’s already said she’s only... more>> finding the final ML a bit pleasing. His kind mother and silly brother are pretty good housemates. I mean, she’s not cursing him to die anymore. She’s still making it on her own but everyone in the story knows she would have gotten there sooner without every crappy man. The translation I read had the author’s note that she/he wasn’t really sure who to choose as a final ML. And I agree. I kind of had a soft spot for the crazy yet soft 3rd lead but none of the men mentioned were really good enough. <<less

It's common consensus that we don't like the ML... Lord knows we hate him. But the FL is very cute and takes charge of her life, works hard and we love her to death. Why is she surrounded by these toxic men aah!

ML does redeem himself though I guess. The excuse being he was young and didn't know better. I haven't read all the way to the end but I hate to admit that the ML is slowly growing on me. He's repentant, but honestly I wish there was... more>> a completely new guy who had nothing to do with her past who would just come and whisk her away but I guess that would be cliche.

Also it's great how the FL is not like "oh you were young and s*upid, I forgive you, let's fall in love" but she calls him crazy and even actively (though unsuccessfully) avoids him. <<less

I think I need to see a therapist because this one was so up late despite knowing all the redflags.

I love the FL's character so much. I was actually worried that she would get back with her ex-husband but I just feel proud everytime she flat-out rejects his desparate tries to fix their marriage.

Our ML is a whole redflag for giving her pain but I also kinda understand? He then at least could be the one to undo the pain he caused.

Overall, I enjoyed it very much specially the clapbacks... more>> she gave those two men. <<less

but it just a wish yo. He hasn't done anything bad to FL so far that it is good. I know he is a psycho but as long as he is good to a girl he likes it is fine. I just like him, and after Qin An but I think they doesn't have any chemistry as a couple.

Overall I can only rate 2/5, have nothing with the translation. My rate pure for the novel, the translation as always is good thanks for the hard work of the translator <<less

The novel is actually really good buuuut the ML is a bit not likable... except for this I really like the novel and the fact that that sh*t ex husband suffered greatly after realising the truth is satisfying plus I guess from all available options, the ML she ended up with was atleast acceptable (actually I just wanted her to be solo queen cause she is awesome but nevertheless one can ignore all the shitty things at the end for the fact that he was actually sincere with her).

Tbh I don't get why some of you are so triggered about male characters when the romance isn't even remotely a focus of this novel. They're not the worst I have seen. The stuff MC's husband and ML has done in the past makes me want to strangle them, but that's mild for what I usually want to do to tr*shy characters. This novel just has a lot of MC face slapping others with her great skills and tough personality. It was cute, some parts were repeatative and dragged on, others not enough explanation, but I liked it.

The story isn't deep by any means but if you like rebirth/second chance stories this is a good one. Nice amount of face slapping but not the main focus. The one thing that bothered me is why did everything change from the book. She didn't really do anything different except readily agree to the divorce instead of being forced, seemed weak. Also she basically became the Mary Sue instead of her sister.

As for... more>> the ML, I was too thought he was a horribly bad choice but he grew on me...a little. His high school self reminds me of the ML in Boys Over Flowers, arragont, immature, and selfish.

The ex husband was an ass, but I thought the author making him obsess over the MC for so long was a bit too much.

towards the end of the story he kind of tries to kill himself via allowing an accident to happen, and decides he can only love the MC so he won't get married again. Would have been nice if there was an extra story for him showing he moved on. I mean the author tortured him and he did apologize to the MC so he showed growth. Probably only the mom and sister were truly 1 dimensional villains

The 2nd ML Huai Mo, was unnecessary and his character didn't make sense.

the author contradicted their own character setting, he is shown as ruthless, pe*verted, with no morals or emotions, but he never forces the MC or hurts her. If he was so self involved he wouldn't think twice to lock up the MC, but he is patient with her and takes care of things for her. He even accepts in the end her turning him down by saying he will find someone better, just quietly takes her home and that's it for him.

Let's not even mention why was he on the reality show in the first place?! He obviously is a pampered messed up in the head prince, but he is okay with roughing it and playing nice with the director, crew, etc?

Honestly I completely forgot about him by the time I was finished with the story. His character served no real purpose other than harming the ML and the ML used that as an opportunity to save the MC.

Really more of a 3.5 because the ending was too sudden and no extras made me feel unfulfilled, but the low rating had me round up.

Also MTLing it was difficult in some places, if you have the patience wait for the translation, which is well done.

*BTW translated chapter 240 = chapter 67ish in the original and there are only 99 chapters from what I found. <<less
