Positives:

  • It's probably a more "realistic" representation of this scenario. Her family don't suddenly change personalities. Even if they want to care, they don't immediately. And they do some stuff wrong while trying to help.
  • ML is surprisingly not a cold/aloof/powerful/reborn being. He's just an extroverted 19 year old who thinks she's cute.
  • The reason for the whole family reincarnating is explained.
Negatives:

  • Turns out... I don't want a more "realistic" representation of this scenario. Her family made me mad. I had to remind myself a few times that she is still a minor and not independent.
  • The "renown" psychologist. When he appeared I already girded my loins for zero doctor/patient confidentiality.
    Spoiler

After his 2nd time talking to her, during which she didn't want to talk to him, he immediately declared, to her 8 year old siblings, that she's beyond his help and heres a list of medications. Also she suffers from manor depression and anorexia and will probably die.

    [collapse]
I will probably not continue the story because, even though her family aren't awful, I guess I'm just in the mood for their eternal regret. I'd finish it if it was lile 60 chapters long but not a 160.

So English is not my native language and I generally only speak Russian, but I thought I should leave this comment.

I am using a translator and I apologize in advance.

I read the entire novel except for 12 chapters of the side story. I was s*upid and naive when I ignored the tragedy genre.

It was sad. Very sad. I don't like works that don't end happily and carefully avoid tragedies. This time I was interested in the beginning, because I like when the hero is indifferent to his family and I... more>> continued reading.

If you are ready for a few tears, you can read this work.

Spoiler

Now for the spoilers.

I waited a long time for the heroine to meet her friend and was disappointed with everything that came with her arc. I love Chen Xunmei, but not her system or the path of the Heavenly Dao or something like that. Of course, she doesn't love her either, but I still didn't like this twist with saving Ke Xiwen with the help of various missions.

I liked the heroine in the beginning, when she threw tantrums and talked about hatred, this is exactly what I wanted. How quickly she accepted them back? For me, it was unforgivable.

Yes, we were shown her thoughts about how she was not going to forgive her Father and Brother because they did not behave better. And she really did not forgive. But I honestly do not like her entire family anyway.

The heroine's desire was always to escape, both at the beginning of the novel and at the end. I'm glad she died. I think otherwise she would never have been able to get rid of her family.

The engagement thing was driving me crazy. I didn't understand why my father couldn't say no, we won't do it. It was the first sign that my father wasn't just not a good person, but he wasn't planning on being a good person. But this situation didn't save my older brother, he keeps going around saying that he has all the power in the company and is finally independent and in the end he can't solve a single issue until everything gets as bad as possible. Although he also had misconceptions about his father, I still can't forgive him.

The mother of the family is shown to us as a person who doesn't care about the main character, later we learn that she has depression and is basically not very stable mentally. (The whole family is not very normal there, the younger brother still shows some signs of adequacy, but nothing more). I don't know what to say about her. She looks like Rei Todoroki, a victim of ab*se (her husband's pe*verted love is cruel to some extent), but at the same time the very cause of her child's trauma. Having gotten rid of her father's influence, she becomes a better person. I'm happy for her, but if I were in the heroine's place, I would say well done, thanks for everything, goodbye.

The younger sister and brother. They are very passable. The sister is selfish, focused only on what interests her, yes, we are shown that she is interested in her sister's condition and tries to make her feel better, but to be honest, these attempts are minimal and not particularly inspiring. She continues to live in her rose-colored glasses. The younger brother is probably the most incomprehensible, it was said that he simply always believed that his older sister did not love him, and when he was reborn and it turned out that it was easy to get along with his sister, he became her little puppy, who made her outfits and sometimes attacked her boyfriend. And yes, he tried to support her in all family quarrels, but he always missed the most important ones and showed up later.

And now about the pleasant. Guan Chenlin. This guy gave his entire youth to his love for the main character, knowing that she would die, he continued to love and support her. Yes, I did not feel my heart beat when they were together, but looking at him I wanted to cry, because he was beautiful. After the heroine's death, he continued to live as she wanted, even got married at 45 (Because his mother threw a tantrum), and he had a son, but as soon as he could, he went traveling the world, as the heroine dreamed of.

But in fact, it seems to me that Chen Xunmei loved the heroine more than anyone else. Their relationship is beautiful. As a fan of polyamory, I would like Ke Xiwen to be with both Guan Chenlin and Chen Xianmei. I would be happy.

Since we are talking about her again, I will also write about the Heavenly Dao. Chen Xianmei ran and carried out missions to maintain good and evil in order to continue living in this world. And I liked how they briefly mentioned her thoughts about the unfairness of the world, because she can't save her best friend. I wish she would go crazy and destroy them all, because the system mentioned that Chen Xianmei is dangerous to them.

I didn't want to read the 12 chapters that remained as AU, but I'll probably fast forward now. In these chapters, Guan Chenlin goes back in time, I think that she and Ke Xiwen will now live happily together. It's cute, but after the original ending, I don't care anymore.

[collapse]

Somewhere towards the end of the novel it really does get boring to read, probably after chapter 100. But I quickly read this story in a couple of hours, although I honestly admit that towards the end I skipped chapters that irritated me, honestly they just poured water into the story. But if you want to read it, then I advise you to carefully read the beginning and middle, and towards the end just quickly get to the end and then reading will not be so irritating. Moreover, everything is often clear from the titles of the chapters.

P.S. God, I've been reading Chinese novels for about 7 years now, but this one is the one that made me sign up and comment. It's not that good though. <<less
