Incredible novel, with a mysterious and well-constructed world, the power of the MC is very different from the vast majority of other novels, but unfortunately the author is an extreme nationalist, with racism against Japanese people in particular that borders on a ridiculous level, sometimes surpassing even most Chinese novels to the point where it becomes difficult to overlook and continue reading, it's sad since it had everything to be one of my favorite novels.

One of the best novel in existence if you can ignore extreme racism.

Personally, I have seen enough content where Chinese media is racist to Korean and Japanese, all three of them have racist content against each other. This novel has low ratings precisely because of this racism and it was also quite famous in Korea due to this very feature. So, ignore it and enjoy the content.

This is well translated. The novel heavily focused on exploring shamanism and esoteric knowledge. Author sometimes almost describing real magic accurately (although a bit exaggerated). Whoever wrote this must have researched a lot of esotericism practices. I have shiver reading it since I'm also do cultural research and witnessing rituals. But this novel have downside, because of 80% of the novel heavily focused on mysticism we don't see much detail about the MC relationship with other characters and it slow paced? Kinda?2-3 chapters spent on preparing rituals to doing the... more>> magic... idk how to describe it better. Also this works touch sensitive topics and might be considered racists and insulting toward some religions.

I feels like author want to make MC have mad characteristics because it actually makes sense to have MC like this in the world author build. But it came out as edge lord cringe instead
