Read this through mtl, and I unexpectedly liked it. The settings are in the description, so if you liked it, you should try reading it.

I quite like the writing as it makes me feel things. Romance is also sweet. There's a lot of genre/theme here like school life, familial love, pets, friendship, etc. But the main theme still falls under the supernatural, specifically about ghosts.

Xia Yan, the protagonist, goes from weak to strong as he unexpectedly stumbles into the world of taoism. He's really weak at first, always having to... more>> rely on his husband, Lu Bingwen, to save him. Gradually, he became strong enough to save himself from ghosts who wanted to eat him. He's still physically weak, though, so he may cough here and there.

The thing I actually don't like is how Lu Bingwen is forceful about the dual cultivation. I mean– have some pity on the sick, let him have a rest, and just do it shortly. Sigh, just no more words on his behavior.

The villains have short appearances, and they're solved quickly. I didn't expect the last villain, though. The human heart is really sinister.

Overall, this is a cute wholesome story and I recommend it if you liked the synopsis. <<less

Loved the story! Overall it's not very complex, kinda sweet and there is not much drama.

The name of the novel pretty much summarised the plot, the MC and ML married first and then fell in love. But what I liked the most was the quite natural and gradual relationship development btw the MC and ML.

The MC is quite young here and he has a ghost issue. The ML is old and wants to marry the MC for the sake of personal interests. The ML also does not care for the MC, but as a consientious spouse tries to do he's duty in improving the MCs situation.

And as they go about different situations and cases, they learn about one another, make friends and enemies and fall in love.

So if you're looking for an entertaining story, with ghosts and some investigating and minimal drama and sweet, but not immediate love, then this one is for you ;) <<less
