As someone working in the animation industry, Mu Suxing unexpectedly binds with a Master Animation Development System and takes over an animation studio on the verge of bankruptcy. With debts piling up, he decides, “Let me first create some brainless commercial animation to make some money.”

When the animation is first released, it receives pointed criticism from industry insiders: “Vulgar! Superficial! What on earth is this?”

However, after the animation achieves legendary sales in the industry, everyone is left speechless: “This actually works?”

Yet, when much of the animation world turns green with envy and starts churning out mindless, cute harem anime, industry bigwigs lament the state of the industry, and Mu Suxing smiles as he reveals titles like “Demon Slayer,” “Your Lie in April,” and “Detective Conan”…

Industry peers: “???”

Many years later, an unnamed animation producer confesses that Mu Suxing is the person he hates most in this world because—

“He led a large part of the industry into the ditch with his mediocre, sales-driven animation, and then he walked away without a second glance.”

I loved this story so much, I had to MTL it. Since there are no reviews yet, I figured I would give my thoughts.

The romance is basically non-existent so far. The MC and ML are technically promised to each other, but they are both so busy they don't interact much, though it's clear they care about each other. I like that the ML is strong and capable, but listens to the MC when he asks not to interfere. He is more of a safety net for the MC rather than... more>> a person propping him up forcefully like some MLs in the business genre.

The business/animation creation side of the story is great in my opinion. I find it interesting how the MC solves various business and artistic problems, and the story in this direction is similar to some game dev stories I have read before. MC's business is mostly smooth sailing with the occasional face slap routine. Good for a feel good story, very relaxing.

The side characters are fun, but kind of shallow. They play their roles well.

Overall, I'd really recommend this story to people who love business and art stories with romance as more of a side plot. It's not that deep, and is a rather relaxing and heartwarming story. <<less

This is good. Ngl. Truly good.

But I gotta tell the shortcoming of this book.

Their world is parallel universe and animation exists. But not even a good one animation exists? Not even one? So why all of big shots old men and women are doing there? Nothing. Only when MC did everything seem perfect?

The one thing I most dislike is author change 'My Hero Academia' to 'Demon Slayer'. Personally, I hate 'MHA'. But in this case, when MC started planning 'MHA', 'Hero' thing is happening and people are fascinated by "Hero'... more>> professional career. I know Demon Slayer is better in plotline but situation doesn't fit. Author changed it in like later chapter's note, but a lot of plotholes happened bcuz of that.

And Romance. I have no complain about thin line romance but at least give them a wedding. Even the CCP censored bromance dramas got more service than this novel two engaged fiance. And ML have been beside MC along thin and thick. Where is the justice? Where is the justice for ML? Author, you said ML is about 10 years older that MC. So when ML is focusing on career throughout the year, ML doesn't even a enough tofu. I feel betrayed by Yaoi tag.

And wth about two extras for Harry Potter? Are you worry that we haven't watched that? Extras is not extraing gave me headache.

And MC lived a life ahead, does he not have any regret from animation from his previous life? I saw that MC is only doing the adaptation from system market. And as an anime fan I know most of them, so when author recount the parts of that animes, it feel lengthy and uninteresting. I rather read so of Author creation which mean adaptation from their own world artworks. Finally MC wrote a novel and did animation, but author never gave any of plot explanation or something. I really liked this story. I probably would give this a 4.5 overall. I do think I enjoyed it more in the beginning, but I still was able to happily read it to the end. The end felt a little abrupt, but I also don't think I found the extras. Maybe those would have helped smooth things out. The loose ends were pretty well tied up with what I did read, but I just felt like it ended on a weird line if I really read to the end.

I agree... more>> that there really isn't any romance. The male lead could have turned into a biological brother without any real impact on the story, but I didn't mind the lack of romance.

I don't feel like the summary really gave me a good idea of what to expect, and I almost didn't try it because I didn't think the summary was appealing. I'm glad I did, though. The main character smoothly builds his entertainment empire, and it's fun to read his progress. As a side note, there are several arcs that are dedicated to the plot of various real-world anime. I'm not really very knowledgeable about classic anime, but I bet those references would have been pretty cool to read if I were. <<less
