Waking up, Ran Qi discovered he had traveled a thousand years into the future. He was now an ordinary student in the Service Department of the Military Academy, commonly known as a miscellaneous.

However, in this highly technology advanced era, the existence of the orderly soldier was probably equivalent to the appendix to the human body—— useless.

In the era when the strong were respected, even if his family was rich, he couldn’t get rid of the name of a waste.

It coincided with the launch of the Empire’s first holographic online game and gave extremely generous rewards, attracting countless people to participate.

Ran Qi immediately decided to lie down and laughed at the same time. He was ready to indulge in the online game, but who could tell him why this online game was the same as the RPG game where he spent countless RMB??!

Furthermore, his skill trees and warehouse followed.

Ran Qi: “…”

It seemed that his status as a VIP player was impossible to conceal any longer. It was time for the ordinary Blue Star players to experience the dominance of a pay-to-win player!

3.9 ia the maximum. After read the reviews I lower my expection about this story, thankfully I lower it or I will just pissed by it. The focus is indeed not in the romance, it all on the game (just game) even the real life event is kinda abrupt for me especially the mecha part, that part just there to make a sign that this novel is at intersellar era and to introduced ML and mc's game friends. I don't hate the romance part, if u say it as just... more>> became romance bcs author want to, it actually not sit right for me. In real life how many romance event that put into dramatic encounter? Author indeed not choose dramatic and slow developed romance bcs although our MC is orphan before he transmigrate he just a normal citizen and people who have normal experience in life there's no such resentment to life and what ever, this also go with our ML he just a high class cool people, they get along, fond to each other then decided to dating. It indeed a plain romance but it not without reason.

The coocking part have many hole for me as someone who often cook but bcs this intersellar era everything is simplified, so don't expected for food xorn. Lastly, although I'm not that pissed but the ending and extra still make me pissed a bit bcs how it end (maybe bcs it just sho ai, they end it there). It like disney version of ending lmao <<less

It’s a fun, simple light hearted story about gaming, but don’t read this if you expect romance. The romance between MC and ML are practically non existent. They just get together because the author writes it, there were barely any relationship development before and after the confession part. I was expecting author to write more of their alone moments after but none. I think MC interacts more with his friend than ML. So I’d say this is more of a Slice Of Life story.

I like the solid world building, but... more>> there a lot of plot holes and the dialogues are so cringe and repetitive. Its like the author has no original idea of her own except for her world building. The ending seems so rushed and incomplete.

There are basically no climax or any drama in the novel, MC’s journey is OP and smooth sailing from the start. The villain is so dumb and no character at all. Overall, its a fun read that you should give a try, but nothing special and are lacking in many areas. <<less

Really short you can read it in one day even though it is 100 chaptersish

Game mechanics is okay, it is really simple, I like the simple drops introductions which other novels lacked

Most of the novel around 80% is spend around in the games dungeon, then around 15% is cooking.

... more>> Yes the MC 's ability in the game is secondary comparing to his cooking skills. The new galaxy they only ate nutrient fluid and everything taste bad.

MC is a softy but with won't let himself suffer.

ML is just your cool guy that can be find in other novels. But not like cold type that absolute stone wall everyone

The main villain is just a weak school bully there's that.

Enjoy this short read <<less

I don't know why the ratings are so low, this novel is so good! So heartwarming and I love the interactions from the main characters to the side characters. I love how op the main characters are XD and the gaming mechanics here are pretty good too! I definitely recommend this if you're looking for a quick yet action packed story :>

I'm just sad it's too short TT I wanted it to be longer 😔

Spoiler

I wanted to see more interactions from the MC and ML as couples and feed dog food to everyone, also where is the most common meeting the family arc? TT

[collapse]

Additionally there are some things where I hoped was explained more

Spoiler

We never really knew what the origin of the game was and how they can provide those food and upgrade one's grade

Perhaps not the most outstanding amongst virtual reality MMO series, but it's a solid one. But amongst these kinds of MMORPG stories, what stands out the most in this novel is the treatment of the side characters. They actually exist as more than just tools to make up numbers - their actions are important, they get high-level items and powerups, and they make new friends amongst each other and have actual personalities. While the MC and ML still stand out as being exceptional, other characters are shown to be valuable... more>> teammates with their own specialties and strengths, and while they can provide comedic relief they also aren't s*upid.

The ML isn't the type to be cold to everyone and not actually be friends with anyone in their group but the MC, either. He and side characters interact with each other outside of situations to do with the MC, and in fact, it's the ML's friend group the MC joins rather than the group forming around the MC. This, coupled with the side characters actually mattering, means the group dynamic is very different compared to other similar series. MC and ML's romance is more of a sub-plot, but while not being especially exciting, it works out in a different way than most BL romances do and without being overly drawn-out. While the plot of the novel isn't anything special, the characterization is; the novel is worth a try for that alone.

The novel jumps right into the game without explaining the "real world" setting or the protagonist's past much. It takes a hot minute for anything significant in the real world to be shown, but it is eventually elaborated on. In general, this story starts out kind of slow and exponsition-y but gets better as time goes on. If you're bored but still within the first 20 chapters, give it a little more time before you decide to drop it.

Edit: Now that I've completed the novel, though I haven't read the extras:

Spoiler

The ending felt, not rushed but like, cut off? like the story was forced to wrap up quickly? Like the novel's plot and pacing was all planned out before, but the author wanted to stop writing for some reason so the last 10 chapters are dedicated to giving the story an ending. The ending itself isn't bad, but there are many threads left hanging... For instance, the identities of the makers of the game and their motives for rewarding people with Earth food, and how they could accomplish that remains a mystery. Maybe this is explained in one of the extra chapters? This novel could have been another 20+ chapters longer, if not like 50 chapters longer. Again, there is an ending, and the ending isn't even bad - the story just feels incomplete is all.

I love how the game was explained. The world-building of the game is solid enough for me. The MC is so OP but in a logical way. I wish there were more challenges,
Spoiler

but it focused on MC's comeback journey to defeat the OG's rival.

Romance is downplayed and left a lot of unanswered questions. Still a good read 'tho.
