Who should you stick with to gain the most advantage when you’re transmigrated as an extra character in a BL novel?

You’ll get punched in the face if you stand next to the villain, and you’ll get misfortune if you stand next to the main couple.

Therefore…

“Why won’t he accept my gift?”

Today as well, the sub-gong complained to his extra character secretary about being rejected for the gift he gave to the main-shou.

“Shall I request a refund?”

“It’s okay. Secretary Ahn, you can use it.”

Originally, someone like him, who had everything and couldn’t even get the main-shou was bound to become a sub-character.

Se-hyun thought as he quietly hid his expression behind Shin Tae-oh, the sub-gong and CEO he worked for.

F*cking huge gain.

Overall, the story is just so-so. The plot is a 3 out of 5. Character development is almost nonexistent. The romance is there, but it’s quite bland.

When I read up to around chapter 50, it was still enjoyable. The comedy, though light, kept me hooked—I especially liked the way the MC and ML bickered.

However, by chapter 70-something, I started getting bored. Like... why is the MC’s heart so hard to move? It made me lose motivation to continue since the romance was so slow, and the other conflicts weren’t really... more>> interesting.

The translation also confused me at times. I often had to guess who was speaking because it wasn’t always clear. It was a bit annoying, but overall, still manageable.

I read up to chapter 104, right after the MC finally decided to open his heart to the ML. At that point, I didn’t see any reason to continue. I know there were still unresolved conflicts, but they didn’t have much impact on the main couple, so it felt okay to stop there.

Once again, this is just my opinion. You might enjoy it if you’re looking for a light, slow-burn romance with minimal conflict.

Happy reading, everyone! <<less

I really enjoyed the novel up until this point where it’s very “will they, won’t they” even tho we have basically established that they both like each other. I looked to the comments to see when they get together & some people are saying they only got together after c60+... Overall, beginning is good but build up is slow & im not in the mood for it

The way I can describe this story is a corporate and omegaverse romance is seen through a shoujo-like roseview vision. Vanilla, innocent, and green-flag. If you're into those then this is for you. I put emphasis on the shoujo like for the novel's world is too idealistic. The story is dragging and somehow I think omegaverse was put here just to add a bit of flavor and the transmigration is there to lure you in, thinking it's going to be important in the story. If you remove the omegaverse, everything... more>> is just too plain and sweet. Sweet in a way it's sugar but you're not doing anything with it. It's just plain sugar.

I read until the main story end. The development of the main pair's relationship is, again, very shoujo like. Slow paced, dragging and even repetitive. The plot is too spread out and imo should have been shorter.

The side couple here (which was the main couple in the OG novel) is just for background honestly. The ML of that novel really just wants to do his job here haha and I found that funny.

There's a hint of a potential side couple:
Spoiler

the 2nd ML (villain) and a beta character

[collapse]
and I was more interested in them but it was just a hint and they were never brought up together again.

Overall, this wasn't for me. <<less

I think the best way I can describe my feelings on this novel are "it's fine, I guess".

I was honestly hoping to like it a lot more than I did, or even hate it more than I did. Honestly, my overall feelings are just neutral, it was a decent read to pass time. The translation was readable, though prone to mistakes in the character names as time went on, missing letters mostly up to where I got.

The Male Lead is a good green flag, and I'm quite fond of him.... more>> Honestly he's the reason I've made it as far as I have since his development hits first. On the other hand, I found myself getting more and more frustrated with the Main Character who carries the story through his POV. He's very obviously an unreliable narrator, and that's fine; I love an MC who doesn't recognize their feelings properly, be it on purpose or otherwise. However, it quickly becomes repetitive and frustrating in unfun ways.

Also, while I'm the first to admit that I'm highly critical of omegaverse novels, I personally find the omegaverse aspect to be completely unnecessary to the story; like a hastily tacked on and weak plot device. I might have liked this novel more if it were just an office drama or just a transmigration/reincarnation story. There were plenty of other perfectly acceptable ways to kick off the romance plot with the ML.

All in all, it's not the worst thing I've picked up to read but it's also far from the best. <<less

Loved this story a lot. It's a very slow romance but you can easily see the chemistry that starts building early on. I love how witty and smart MC is and ML is honestly adorable, little insecure but he really works on himself, honestly unlike many other Alphas in ABO stories he was one of the most human like, like a regular person.

Overall sweet story, if you love office romace and ABO I really reccomend the read. Also def read extras!!

This is interesting. Interesting characters with depth. I like both the MC and the ML characters. Side characters were interesting too.

However, It is slow a burn, though, the events towards their romance buildup were entertaining, I was surprised I kept going even after the romance delay, lol, but they were such a captivating couple with an intriguing tension between them, so I wanted to see that till the end.

Also, compared to other ABO stories, this one wasn't heavily focused on that aspect until towards the end when their gender distinctions... more>> determined many things. I was wondering if it was truly omegaverse at first cause there was little mentions, but I like it that way.

The romance was good, likewise the smut. I wish they were some side stories with some potential side couples like JinSeong and Park 😁

Although not excellent, the translation was okay and readable, thanks to the translator for their work. <<less
