A solid investment novel overall. There are a few things that require suspension of disbelief when the MC convinces other people to trust in his information despite not having a proper source for it (because it's future knowledge).

However, one thing that stuck out particularly positively to me was that while the novel obviously attempts to highlight the MC's genius (as all such novels do), it repeatedly emphasises that the investments he makes are objectively bad ones and that most people would lose their money trying to become rich quickly. What... more>> he does only works because he knows the future, otherwise it would be like repeatedly playing the lottery and investing all winnings into lottery tickets.

I'm not sufficiently educated in finance to judge whether the explanations for everything are correct, but the novel does try to explain the investments rather than just lightly brushing over them.

The characters aren't deep or likeable enough for this novel to jump into my all-time favourites, but five stars are still well-deserved. <<less
