Reads like mellow drama written by an edgy 13 year old. Every 3 sentence the author has to remind you that the MC "doesn't feel anger", "isn't sad", "doesn't care" while doing everything that a person feeling said emotions would do.

If that's not bad enough we went from one chapter of MC being a edge lord, to being all flustered and worried about a reply letter from his fiancee. I don't know what's more pathetic, the MC or the author. 1/10 I got genuinely angry reading this. It made me feel vicariously pathetic reading the MC's perspective. If you enjoy that kind of stuff then this is for you. <<less

This novel is great if you enjoy just watching the MC get humiliated for the entire story despite having the ability to just avoid it. Like it's just horribly written all around. The author probably envisions this character archetype as being cool or low key but it's actually just pathetic. He's miserable for the sake of being miserable.

I've been enjoying this series quite a bit. I'm amused by the points of view of Raul juxtaposed to everyone else. His incredible lack of common sense in "normal" things is pretty standard for this character type but it's far more satisfying when it isn't dragged out for 100 chapters but a plot device starts clearing it up.
