After Su Zhen’s death, she discovered that she was a malicious female supporting character in a cultivation novel.

In the book, she was born into a noble family with exceptional talent. However, because of her infatuation with her master, she repeatedly made things difficult for the female protagonist, her junior sister. Ultimately, she was framed by the male admirer of the protagonist and sentenced to death by a thousand arrows piercing her heart.

Upon her rebirth, she returned to the beginning of the story. She stood outside, holding a carefully prepared gift, waiting to see her master.

Su Zhen: “……”

With a blank expression, she smashed the gift and prepared to leave.

But when she turned around, she saw a stranger standing not far away, looking at her with a complex expression.

Su Zhen: “You didn’t see anything. If you dare to say anything reckless, I’ll kill you.”

The stranger obediently nodded.

Su Zhen flicked her sleeves and left.

The next day, her martial uncle, who had been away for many years, returned to the mountain. The entire sect was in an uproar and Su Zhen was dragged by her senior brothers and sisters to accompany her master to meet this returning elder.

Along the way, she heard many legends about her martial uncle. It was said that he was the number one person in the immortal realm, an invincible sword god, who had never lost in battle, exterminating demons and monsters without defeat and had cut through the nine realms without encountering an opponent.

Su Zhen was somewhat confused. How did she remember that this person should have already ascended?

The next day, inside the main hall, the sect leader and the elders took turns to pay their respects, while the other disciples bowed their heads. Su Zhen quietly raised her head and saw the flawless, handsome man sitting on the high platform.

Su Zhen: “!”

Isn’t this the brother she saw yesterday, who witnessed her smashing the gift and was threatened by her?

Not long after, the entire sect was abuzz with the news that Su Zhen had angered her master and was facing the punishment of being expelled from the sect.

While taking a walk on the back mountain, she encountered the previous martial uncle again.

This sword god, who struck fear into the hearts of evil beings across the nine realms, looked at her with a conflicted expression. “Do you still like him? If not, how about becoming my disciple?”

Su Zhen: “?”

Seeing her displeased expression, he quickly changed his words: “Or I can become your disciple, that works too.”

Su Zhen: “… Are you sick?”

He fell silent for a moment. “Perhaps being brain-dead is a kind of illness.”

Su Zhen: “???”

He looked at her seriously. “I am your brain-dead fan.”

※ Non-traditional cultivation, mid to high fantasy, with many personal settings.

※ The romance takes up a lot of space, happy ending, with a small amount of plot progression.

※ The female lead is reborn + the male lead is from another world and the main characters are not perfect.

※ Daily life-oriented, with a lot of dialogue and psychological description, the pace is not fast.

A Fun and Frenzied Ride Through "The Transmigrated Male Lead Confessed to Me"

Let's dive into this wild cultivation tale where revenge, romance, and outright absurdity collide. First things first—our female lead, Su Zhen, is an absolute queen. She's smart, independent, beautiful, and wields her icy demeanor like a weapon. ᕕ (⌐■_■) ᕗ ♪♬ In short, she's cool and the kind of protagonist you root for with popcorn in hand.

Now for the original female lead (that is actually the real villainess of the story) : Liu Yunyao. This original female lead... more>> is the epitome of infuriating...

Spoiler

—weak, manipulative, and so two-faced you'd think she moonlights as a coin. Yet somehow, she managed to attract a harem of six suitors, all of whom seem to have left their brains at the door. Seriously, what were they seeing in her? Did they have defective protagonist goggles, poop brain or was it just the blinding golden halo of plot favoritism?

Here's the kicker: the readers within the story also loved Liu Yunyao and tr*shed Su Zhen, the actual heroine. Are you kidding me? Were they all drinking from the same poop water? Even though they knew Liu Yunyao's true nature, they still cheered her on. I can't roll my eyes hard enough.

[collapse]

Thankfully, Su Zhen gets...

Spoiler

... her revenge and takes down these idiotic male leads—but let's be honest, they died way too easily. I wanted heartbreak, humiliation, and groveling before their demise. Instead, they got the equivalent of a slap on the wrist. Talk about missed opportunities.

[collapse]

But let's shift gears to what really saves this novel: the male lead. Oh, this guy. He's a clumsy, lovable fanboy who is so head-over-heels for Su Zhen, it's both adorable and hilarious. His unwavering devotion is the fresh breeze this chaotic plot desperately needed.

That said, the story isn't without its flaws. The plot? Confusing as heck. Some of it might be the machine translation, but even so, the narrative felt like a tangled web of cultivation jargon and half-baked twists.

Also, the main couple, while cute, occasionally dips into cringey territory.

Spoiler

Once Su Zhen realizes the male lead is a transmigrator who read her story in his world, their conversations get... weird. Half flirting, half meta-commentary on the plot. It's endearing at times but awkwardly forced at others.

[collapse]

However, the male lead's shining moment seals the deal for me:

Spoiler

Su Zhen, the heroine, dreams of him in modern clothing at a Comic-Con, screaming, "Su Zhen, I'm your dog!" She wakes up baffled by this bizarre phrase and asks him to confirm it. His shyly bark in her ear. Absolute gold. This guy is a cinnamon roll wrapped in fanboy energy, and I love him for it.

[collapse]

So, while the story has its share of flaws—confusing plotlines, cringe moments, and an open ending—it's worth a read for the sheer joy of watching this adorable male lead dote on our badass heroine. Four stars, solely because he stole the show. (∩˃o˂∩) ♡ <<less

Even though the plot appears to be the same old cultivation face-slapper, the choices were unexpected, the plot developed in different directions when compared to similar novels, and the way transmigration was woven into the the story, especially the second half, was a fresh & amusing take. Revenge might be a focus in the beginning, but the world-building, action, and subsequent character growth is well beyond that single issue. If you like this genre but feel bored with the usual, this is a good pick. Similarly, if you find yourself... more>> annoyed with Rofan where the OG book plot armor is either immutable or ignored entirely 10 chapters in, but you still like the general idea of fundamental rules causing conflicts, this book is also a good choice. There are no shrinking violets here, only badasses fighting amongst themes of morality, fairness, catharsis, and how our beliefs shape our experiences. <<less

I might have recognized this author before. They like using 'Su' in their protagonists' names a lot. I read their previous work and ended up liking it too.

It's not a five-star worthy story because the world-building seems insufficient, it's quite confusing sometimes, and it has some flaws that still need to be expanded. But I enjoy the novel for the sake of reading something unique. The unique part for me is the male lead being a transmigrator from another world, and our female protagonist's crazy fan. It's a common trope... more>> to find female leads transmigrating to another world and meeting their favorite character from a game or novel. This is the first time I've seen a reverse situation where the male lead is brought to the world of his favorite character. They manage to explain the plotlines about her rebirth and some stuff, but fail to explain why the male lead got transmigrated there. The last few chapters didn't outright say it since it was an open ending with them wanting to ascend and travel to his world, but the probability is quite small, yet possible.

Despite her rebirth, she is indeed a native of this world, which I like. It's rare to find a protagonist who is not a reincarnation or transmigrator. I adore our protagonist's personality. She's independent, smart, and strong. Su Zhen isn't a perfect being, nor a good person, but she is quite resilient and hardworking in her goals. The male lead isn't someone who falls in love with her at first sight. His love for her is from liking her character in a novel to loving her personally as a living person. His life when he transmigrated to her world is rough and hard, but he can survive with the thought of her. He wants to meet her and save her from her bad ending. He wants to make her happy despite his feelings for her. He often gets jealous of her past connection with other people. He did so much for her that you can say he is obsessed and crazy.

I like their relationship because it is wholesome and cute. It may be cringy for others, but I found it amusing to see her watching a memory of him screaming that he is her dog and then barking at her for confirmation when she confronts him. He managed to influence her with his actions and words from his modern world. He is so damn happy about that. I completed the novel, but I cannot find the extra chapters. Also, the author loves writing about our two main leads' appearance a bit too much. I got deja vu, but it's not like a whole paragraph like some authors have done. <<less

So far, I am really enjoying the story and hope the quality continues as more translated chapters come out. I prefer cultivation novels, especially when the protagonist is a strong female character.
Spoiler

I usually like slow burn romance and this feels like the romance will ramp up rather quickly, but the "Senior" is adorkable so it is still entertaining.

This novel seems to have some potential, I am looking forward to future chapters.
