In a stallion novel there is always a Senior Martial Brother like this:

In the early stages of the novel, his innate talent is high, his cultivation is good, his appearance is handsome, and he has an intelligent, cute younger Martial Sister as a fiancée.

In the middle stages of the novel, he is caught unprepared and defeated by a young disciple (the protagonist) in the sect who’s hardly remarkable at all. From then on, he falls from his godly altar and loses his brilliance. Even his young Martial Sister leaves him for someone else.

In the late stages of the novel, he continues to blackened, going down the Demonic Path and becoming the major villainous boss. However, the protagonist still ruthlessly defeats him and his soul is eternally sealed.

Once Qin Mo opened his eyes, he discovered that he had become this Senior Martial Brother.

I feel the ending was rushed, maybe it will be perfect if they have another 50-80 chapter before ending I really like the story, and.. I need more spice, sadly, they just had one scene for spicy things :''

Honestly I did not believe other peoples reviews of this novel put a lot of them are very accurate. The plot holes only bug me a little but the main characters' relationship physically hurts me.

There are so many plot holes for example

  • Where did the lotus fire come from? Did I just miss the explanation on it?
  • I also want to know what all happened to the people on the first "world".

Honestly I don't understand why MC even bothered to revive the ML, he literally hated him for all the stuff he pulled! Also the hate was well deserved, ML literally tried/succeeded to kill/take away any one the MC ever cared about.

  • Even if he wasn't the one to take all these people he contributed by being able to save them but not saving them out of jealousy.

When the ML r*ped the MC the MC said he would never forgive him, yet that was forgiven after he died?! What irritates me most is the male lead literally found a way to force the MC to only be able to be with him ever. The male lead took away the chance to ever be with anyone else while the main characters were not in love. It's usually trope in stories that I would like but in the story it really pissed me off.

All in all the MC just really deserved better, he never asked to be in this world and he didn't directly mean to change ML's fate.

First off, the translations are amazing. It's perfectly translated so it was done by someone who knows both languages very well.

I thought the story had a lot of potential but it's not really catching my attention and I'm getting bored. I think it's just not my cup of tea since it focuses alot on the action so far and I like there to be more romance. I think the plot is pretty good I just prefer more comedy and fluff.

Also while I like the MC, I don't like the ML... more>> so I'm going to stop reading here. But try reading it and see if you like it, I gave 2 stars on my personal taste but it's really not so bad, just not what I like personally. <<less

I'm really disappointed, really, if this is only light fluffy novel with slice of life and romance genre I can understand but Action Fantasy Xianxia?? With two displine relationship? Its very disappointing that this novel even cant satisfy me like fluffy novels.

i skip many chapters just to read the final ch

as blackwatersinkingshipper said I like yandre ML very much but this ML? His personallity doesnt has the capability of a yandre person, author just write a shadow of a cool yandre ML, about MC? I cant understand his character... more>> at all its like he hasnt normal human emotions, and not only him, I could not communicate with any of the characters, all of them havent the ability to leave impress on readers and I cant felt anythings toward them, nor sad or pity or even hate. They came and disappeared very fast, MC and ML's level up is illogical especially ML. I cant find any excitement in myslelf when I read this process, MC and ML level up then encounter some mystery men stronger than them, then level up again then find another stronger enemy, without any special events, I think author wanted to write cool and mystery level up novels but she really failed. And we never reach to The climax of the story, somewhere that you like the most and want to read again

and about story? I think other reviews said good point

romance? Doesnt have any charm, without any real progress and the story focus isnt on its romance at all, author just put some boring romance between level up story with force

although I like smut scene of it. But at all its boring story without Regular structure plan. So its your own choise to try it or not, but I dont recommend this novel to anyone, and this is my point of view ofcourse maybe after read this novel you'll like it <<less

Feels like as the story progresses, the MC and the ML are just spiraling deeper and deeper into a pit...

This author is such a stepmother!!! Does she hate her own protagonists??? That said, this novel is not too badly written, since clearly... this angst is on. purpose. TT_TT Everyone sticks to their assigned role/personality, there's foreshadowing, plot's exciting and fast-paced, etc. Feels like a 1000 chapter xianxia being condensed into 100 short chapters, so yeah it's going to feel rushed.

It's a happy end... Eventually. But they must have gone through even more lines of filler text offscreen to get to that point... I'm glad the author doesn't subject us to all that actually. Her goal was a romance BL, and she gives the bare context to get to that point. A lot of people say that it's unfinished but... it's not really. This was an interesting speedrun.

If you've had too much fluff in your life recently! This is the novel to balance out that sugary fluff :3 <<less

This novel need alot of imagination. Because there are numerous fights scenes which is quite entertaining but also need a lot of brain work. There are not much fluff here and the romance really kinda sparse. The ending is HE. So it's not a bad read. But if you want alot of dog food... there's are more dog blood. Tq

This was the first novel from this author, and it shows. There are a lot of really interesting plot hooks and promising secondary characters, but unfortunately a lot of them get forgotten/unresolved/not resolved that well, or not used to their full potential.

I think I'm just being nice by leaving 4 stars to help balance the rating even though I dropped the novel.

The story had their good moments, but it failed at trying to be a serious action novel. I often find myself bored reading this. The protagonist/ML was the only one with character development to become a yandere, and even then, his story was barely mention in a few sentences throughout 50 chapters.

The MC was too dull for me to take interest in him and I dislike that his face was... more>> so stone cold solid that he often appeared as if he's only a puppet. I understand some characters possess the ability to be like this, but there are usually reasons why they are the way they are. Apparently, he's just a natural, and again, that makes him even more dull and uninteresting. He doesn't move the story, the story moves him.

Besides that, I do kind of like the slow pace of the story too? I mean, I like that it took over 30 chapters for the possessive attraction to truly begin and it kind of allowed the MC to really see how real the world is around him and adjust to it. It also allowed the ML to age up from a child to a teen to an adult. I'm only down over the fact that they have so very little interaction, so I still can't really accept how he came to develop an attraction for the MC. <<less

Maybe I should start from saying that I’ve dropped this novel before, and finished it only after some time for my emotions to calm down. That’s why, I think that you need to be in a specific state or mood to read this novel.

I liked how it started, really liked. The middle was unexpected and mostly not pleasant to read. That can be the reason it dropped. Somehow, the ML and MC didn’t understand each other almost until the very ending. This is the source of most problems and tragedies... more>> here. Unfortunately.

Still, maybe it’s only me, but my heart pained for the ML, especially closer the the end. I’ve almost cried. Yes, he did many bad things, some things might be not forgiven at all. But he went though so much, and my heart really aching.

Im thankful for such an ending, for cute fox and second chance. The extras are just right for my hurting souls.

As for recommendations... I don’t know. See the warning and tags and decide yourself. This is not a novel for everyone. <<less

So I rated this on my personal enjoyment-- not objectively. I went into it knowing the tags, and sometimes I'm ok with that content. I wasn't a fan of how things were handled afterwards. And personally I found the ending to be a little disappointing.

It's a more realistic HFN type ending, and I don't usually like those. Again though, sometimes I do if done well!

I just feel like the MC and ML needed at least another 20 chapters of character development and conversation to develop past some of the things... more>> that happened. The chapter count is there as is the time but we don't see any of it, and they are separated for all of it.

This one makes me feel conflicted! In a lot of ways it's good and pretty well done. I can't tell if my reaction to the drawbacks is completely based on my personal taste or if it's honestly got a problem there.

I don't feel like I wasted my time by reading it though, and I do recommend you give it a go. Especially if you really like yandere types. <<less

First opinion:

MC is already interesting. He was previously a surgeon (?), which is not only unique in the world of transmigration novels but also justifies his calm reaction to being transmigrated. I also personally always prefer novels that immediately get into the meat of the story instead of wasting time with useless prologues.

The ML/protag's story progression seems a lil bit too fast, I think author could've benefitted from showing more unfortunate scenes or shown his side of things in the outer sect before having ML choose the yandere route on... more>> their 2nd meeting. But hey, at least the people who started reading for the yandere tag can go straight to the action. <<less

I don't understand why there are so many bad reviews regarding this good story. Even though compared to the fighting scene the fluff moment is as rare as gold. But the interaction between MC and ML is also interesting. And there's dont have too much of a smutty scene just at it right amount. The translation is also so good.

Although the plot is not that unique but if you haven't read sooooo much of xianxia novel then this plot will surely new for you. And even the love between them... more>> seems shallow or fast but if you understand it you will appreciate their feeling cuz even tho ML is so obsessed with MC but he has gone mad only once (If you ever read obsessed ML you will know that those ML are like psychopath, LZZ gone mad only once is really something to be praised) He sacrificed so much for MC (but some is he reaped what he sowed), and MC also sacrificed so much for ML.

The slight disappointments in this story is only that its too short so in every events it not in so much detailed, however this setback is not bad in some part. Plus I expected more lines from some side characters but the author just casually brushed them off. However this story is still good and worth a read! Just dont be discouraged by the bad comments and try it yourself! <<less

hmmm...I'd say that the premise and SOME events here in this novel really kept me going and intrigued. After chaps 40 or so, the events suddenly became blurry to me and by the time it reached like 75 chaps, I caught on and there were many moments of ML and MC. The novel was 85% action and 15% subtle romances between those action scenes. There were many parts that I just skimmed over just to get the main gists and not reading the whole. Overall, the translations were great and... more>> really understandable.

I was kind of saddened by the ending and the extras did not even lessen it. But it was the most plausible and real ending out of all endings out there so I think that would be fine. I just though that the ending would have been different if they both think a little smarter and communicated a little more from the past chapters.

I knew the smexy scene will appear a later on and of course, I was looking forward to it because I love hot scenes hohohoho... however, deep inside it hurts me because after that scene, the MC and ML would inevitably fall apart when they were just starting to warm up to each other again. And I think that maybe if the ML did not continue, mc's treatment of him would be less cold, perhaps a better ending.

Lastly, I think that both of MC and ML were so dumb for not noticing and defeating Wen Qing early on. Well, I know that ML already smelled smthng sus about WQ but he only suppressed it inside because WQ is kind of important for MC. And voilah.... Wen Qing is one of the characters nearly at the end of the novel that made big changes to both MC and ML Im so madd aghhhh wtv.
