The Vicious Male Supporting Character Married The Disabled Villain

Description

When Chu Chen woke up, he found himself transmigrated into an interstellar novel.

As the vicious male supporting character in the book, the original owner not only cheated on the protagonist Gong and cuckolded him before marriage, but also hired someone to kill the protagonist Gong’s White Moonlight after the marriage.

In the end, he was designed by White Moonlight’s flower protector and ended up miserable.

Chu Chen was too lazy to follow and entangle with the original plot, so he turned around and got to know the son of the Li family.

It was said that both his legs were disabled and had mental illness.

He got married in a flash with the useless son of the Li family — Li Ran. But Chu Chen never expected that the husband he married was completely different from what he thought!

Disabled legs? ——pretended.

Mental illness? — cured.

Only then did Chu Chen know that one of the personalities of the useless man he married turned out to be the biggest villain boss in the book.

The only one with 3S mental power in the whole interstellar, who could fight with the entire alliance army and kill without blinking an eye.

Most of the characters are s*upidly funny. They always get played or teased by MC.

This novel almost made me like Harem. I love how each of ML's personalities have their distinct characteristics but it doesn't make MC love them less.

4/5!!! This novel is far from perfect. But thanks to the likable characters, I was able to read it through without any regrets~ It's the kind of story with lots of plot holes and questionable decisions but you can't help but like it anyway. Definitely a must-read for those that are looking for a feel-good novel that's high-in-comedy and romance.

Note, this novel is unique in that the multiple personalities do not lead to a fusion. But this uniqueness feels right in my eyes. You get a stoic ML that can't... more>> be profaned, a tsundere ML that's both bratty and domineering, and a lustful loyal dog ML that is 100% obedient. XD SO, ALL IN ALL, it's a whole package. As for the MC, he's definitely not your typical shou. Externally, he's a bit of a dandy. But his hidden depths make him the perfect match for all of the ML's personalities. So yeh. Lord of fun all around! Don't expect too much of a plot btw. There is some, but plot really isn't the focus here. Nor is it the setting. It's all about the characters in my eyes.

__________

SUMMARY: The MC, Chu Chen, is an ordinary man from the 21st century. He had briefly glanced at a BL book set in an interstellar world, and then suddenly woke up to find himself occupying the body of the vicious male supporting role in said book. The original owner is also called Chu Chen. He's the eldest son of the Chu family, but after his mother died, his father took in a mistress and completely forgot about him. In this way, the OG owner was raised as a dandy that only knew how to play around. This made him useless as a son, and so the family decided to marry him off to a wealthy family. Unfortunately, things didn't work out. The OG owner was set up on the night of the engagement and ended up giving up on himself and the world.

The MC takes over at this point, and the story begins. The MC doesn't really care about the original owner's family or supposed-to-be-fiancé. He intends to get revenge on behalf of the OG owner, but that doesn't stop him from seeking his own satisfaction. He directly asked the Old and Wealthy Li Family's son (AKA, the ML) — who is not only disabled but also suffering from mental disorder — for his hand in marriage. Somehow; it all works out. The two get married and stay together from then on~ <<less

Why the rating is so low????

This novel deserves a solid 4.5 ⭐! It had me feeling all warm and fuzzy after I devoured it in just two days via mtl, which surprisingly wasn't confusing at all. I'm in love for the romance between the MC and ML - they're like a match made in heaven! Their personalities just click, and it's beyond cute.

Now about the ML. He's got three different personalities, and they're all a delight to read! The second one is the most fun to tease, and it's funny... more>> even if it's sometimes rather frustrating how he's the last to figure out that the MC knew about his condition from day one. But Li Ran, oh Li Ran, he's the sweetest ML I've ever read for a while! Those daily little star messages filled with love and confessions that lasted for years!!! He's such a cutiepie and he finds it was difficult to express his feelings, so he uses such method to tell the MC how he feels 🥺

And the third personality is basically Li Ran's repressed desire for the MC personified. He's the babiest and the most shameless of the three lmao since his main purpose is to convey the main personality's feelings for MC.

And speaking the MC, this person is a total witty vixen, always leaving the ML speechless with his outrageous and blatantly obvious lies just to tease him. The first personality? He usually responds with pure indulgence since he often repress his feeling, he never denies MC tho. As for the second personality? Let's just say he's often on the brink of combustion from sheer embarrassment, and sometimes he's being peety and tries to get back at the MC, but it always backfires on him.

Now, the third personality. He absolutely loves the MC's teasing and also reciprocates, leaving the MC completely overwhelmed.

Just a little nitpick from my end – I wasn't too thrilled about the military aspect of the story. I was hoping it would take a backseat throughout the entire novel, but around chapter 110, it seemed to hog the screen time. Thankfully, the one thing that kept me going was the cute romance between the MC and ML that still managed to shine even when the plot shifted towards zerg attacks and such.

But I guess it's just a matter of personal taste, and I've never been a big fan of this genre anyway. So, it's all good! <<less

At first it was good but then we got things repeting again and again. As the s*upid joke of one of ML personality being played and not knowing it always running away. And this joke you'll read about it 50 times. It was fun the first few times but it's becoming annoying at the end. Then let's be honnest the plot is really simple, almost a little too much, it's nice when you don't want to think and just enjoy the ride but if you're not in the mood it... more>> becomes boring. And finally what bothered me the most was how the author went too far in ruining the antagonist, the fake white lotus and old moonlight, and coming back again and again with more ab*ses. He has been already punished and put out of the story, what is wrong with you for coming back to ruin more when no one really think about him ? It's almost like the author imagined this character as their ex or an enemy and wants to totally destroy him. It's toxic. <<less

the novel is quite good, the MC is quite intelligent and funny but... the only point I find unbearable is, the ridiculous part with Li Fen, the author extended the flirtation with that personality too much, at first it was funny, already for him Chapter 108 I couldn't laugh and wanted to skip the pages, Chu Chen insists on acting like a bit*h in heat every time he sees Li Fen, LITERALLY, his behavior is very disgusting and not funny at all, even he himself has said that he has... more>> gone too far in bothering Li Fen but since Li Fen doesn't resist then he continues to do so, where do you see the point of that? even if the author is crazy and that behavior doesn't bore me, yes, it not only bores me but also disgusts me, on more than one occasion I wanted Li Fen to hit him and I don't understand why he didn't? He doesn't know that Chu Chen discovered his split personality for him. Chu Chen is just blatantly trying to cheat his little brother with himself. If I were in his place, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to hit the person who propositioned me. much less him that it was not just proposals but actions that were worse and worse, I really do not understand how he did nothing, that can only be explained in the author's head, whatever it is, it's fine if it's only a few chapters of that but that's it around 108 it even made me doubt about leaving the novel... <<less

This is a kind of story when your irritation slowly builds up. I guess there are people who find MC's behaviour funny but I'm on the side of not taking good how he constantly shames, sometime humiliates Li Fen. The novel started good but the plot just vanished after MC got rid of his family and the white moonlight. And it happens pretty fast. Since then, nothing really happens, we just forced to witness him teasing Li Fen. At first it's funny, then you roll your eyes and after that... more>> comes the irritation and it never ends. There are 50 chapters left, so 100 updates, I can't take this anymore. <<less

I love both the MC and ML to the core. MC witty slapping faces with his eloquent mouth, makes good food, such a good flirt and love to tease. So Fun the man is a succubus!

MC knows no shame and I like his he held his head high and can do what he wants and live a free live. His took over the body whose's family is so nasty, he wreck them so hard with his plans.

MC's new friends are so good people! Usually you get tr*sh friends when you first transmigrate because your status in the family.

Other characters are so funny as hell, especially the Main protagonist gong in the novel when MC keep giving him green shoes

Spoiler

one of the mc's big "skills" is that MC can cook food that everyone thinks tastes good, which at this point is almost a standard feature of any romance protagonist, what makes this unique is that the author sets the gold cooking finger as: not actually being good at cooking, everyone else just already had extremely low standards lol, idk why but that cracks me up (admittedly it gets old after awhile)

Let me just say this from the beginning;

MC isn't exactly a moral person nor ML is actually a victim. So for some people, their situation might be uncomfortable.

ML have multiple personalities and for MC, all of them (personalities) are fair game. Usually in stories, the plot would be for MC to slowly accept that his lover are multiple person in one body, but in here, it's quite the opposite.

MC knew right away that ML have secondary personality and kept baiting and seducing the second personality. MC is jumping around the... more>> red line of s*xual harassment but as I said, for MC, they are all the same person and therefore, a fair game.

ML, on the other hand, isn't exactly innocent in this. Yes, his secondary personality is making a distinction about the relationship of the 'three' and insist that MC is only the main personality's lover and not his and it seems that MC is assaulting him all the time. But it's because we have MC's POV and we know that MC knows. If you think about it, in his POV, MC didn't know and yet whenever he had to pretend to be the main personality, he would go as far as allow intimacy between them because he believed that the main personality and MC have an active life. What if MC didn't actually know? Wouldn't he be having intimacy with someone he didn't expect to be?

So yeah, their dynamic might be uncomfortable for others, especially since a lot of scene was spent about this unspoken secret play between MC and the secondary personality.

The thing is, both were adults going as far as they could for their goal, or at least for the second personality lol. ML was also quite clear that he treats all of his other personalities as himself. In fact, they're his tool man lolol. So ML, in a sense, isn't a nice person as well. At least in term of his secondary personality, ML sacrificed him a lot and I mean a lot ahahahaha poor guy was always thrown out by ML whenever he have things he didn't want to do or face, and poor guy always end up being harassed by MC.

Actually, the issue about them being individual persons and being the same are constantly being talked about. While the three were quite individualistic and actually a person on their own, they all believe they're the same person.

Spoiler

Because ML created them on his own initiative and mold their personalities base on his ideal. He created them to face the things he couldn't (toolman and blametaker lol). Although it did have the aspects of DID, this is a story where emotions were connected to mental power so rather than typical DID, ML kind of split himself.

[collapse]

My favorite side character was the Og. ML. Yeah, the guy's jerk. He's a typical privileged rich guy with a lot of potential and bright future that sees the world at face value plus the buff of a straight guy ahahaha. He's not malicious, he just dislike people base on his life value, it just that it's too pure, the kind of pure from the old relict kind ahahaha. You know, the kind of saved their purity for their wedding XD. As MC express, this guy just lack social beatings lol. It just sadly, he didn't see that his attitude could cost other people. Later on, he pick up social cues from MC and realized some of his short comings. He's a good buddy, really. It's funny how confused he is about MC 'cheating' on ML and was conflicted with his moral value on marriage but MC was always able to convince him with lies ahaha.

The most funny thing is, he end up with

Spoiler

The alliance's commander, his adopted father in the og novel timeline, and the og owner's (MC) cousin. Who is equally an old antique as him ahahahaha bless their pure soul, they dated for two years with just kissing ahahaha really saved both their purity until their wedding night ahahahaha. Both strong military guys who is serious with their career/ambition, really manly guys and og. ML was confused on their wedding night cause apparently, they both think the other will give in XD

[collapse]

Bless these two pure poor souls who MC tricked into being double standards ahahaha. They are quite strick with their morals but had to witness MC's chaotic love life full of cheating plays. <<less

First time writing a review and wanted to give it a 3 star but I accidently clicked more.

The novel is not bad but it is also not very good. As a fan of predictable or cliche novels about Transmigrate/Reborn story and face slapping, this novel doesn't really stand out compared to the other novels that I have read.

I like the MC (Chu Chen) personality. I read through the English translation through 42 part 1 and read the raw after that until 116. It doesn't really mention much of MC's past... more>> yet but it does give clues here and there about his relationship with his own mother. MC is shameless and love to tease the ML (Li Ran) mainly the second personality.

The ML (Li Ran) doesn't have much of a personality; he is quiet and doesn't emerge as frequently as his second personality, which is something I didn't like about the novel. Li Ran is the host personality and there are currently three personalities. The second personality is Li Fen, who is describe as being indifferent, petty, and short-tempered. A third personality, whom I can only describe as clingy, appears later. I wish there is more interaction between MC and the other personality besides Li Fen because they don't feel as distinct compared to Li Fen. Even the host personality that does appear a little more than Li Fen doesn't any distinct traits because he doesn't talk as much. He is just indifferent. He did get a little better in the later chapters and maybe more in end of the story. But I don't know, I stopped at 116. <<less

A high-quality fluff-filled read with a sprinkle of angst that hurts the heart

This story can be divided into 2 parts. First part is about the main characters’ developing relationship and face-slapping era. The second part is about their role-playing kinks 😂

Solid worldbuilding, colorful 3D characters, and entertaining chapters that don’t feel boring. I love how the author navigates the multiple personalities of the ML, their duties, their causes. I love the glimpses we have of MC’s previous life. Although I wish we could have more of his background story so... more>> that it could explain his character and why he is like that — like what was his career before, what age did he die?

Some highlights that I think sets this story apart from normal interstellar transmigration stories:

  • MC keeps referring back to the OG owner of the body respecting his choices but not completely replacing him. There was that one line that struck me that MC said in his mind
Spoiler

When OG owner’s friends gathered up funds because they thought MC was having financial problems. MC said in his mind, “Chu Chen (referring to the OG owner), do you see this? You left too early. You are not unloved

[collapse]

  • The genuine remorse the antagonist (the OG MC of the novel) felt was quite surprising. I meant, he felt remorse not only because he encountered the consequences of his actions but also, most importantly, he realized how many deaths he caused. At the end, he somewhat accepted incarceration.
  • The DID was a plot I believe the author juggled awesomely. The switching of personalities not only adds to the comedic timing but also adds to the impact when it was revealed in the extras why ML had DID
  • The subplot of MC’s natal family breaks my heart. Usually, I don’t find other stories exploring the the tragedy of something like this to this extent. It made me sad and made me long for an alternate universe where OG owner lived happily ever after with his natal family.
I’ll add more points as I can think of it later. But I love this wonderful face-slapping story with charming characters! <<less

I'm still at the beginning but it's already left some seemingly definitive impressions.

The story is very light and easy to understand, without many details or complexities, things just follow the flow without much questioning.

Regarding the romance between the characters, I haven't gotten very far to have many opinions, but in the beginning they just get married and accept each other without much problem in a short space of time even their personalities (all) in contrast, which is weird to say the least.

It's acceptable if you're looking for something exclusively light... more>> and a little funny. It's not exciting at all for me, I only read a few chapters, but it feels like an eternity, but I want to continue.¯\_ (ツ) _/¯ <<less

The positives I found when reading this novel:

  • Our ML is known to have multiple personalities disorder. This disorder doesn't get 'fixed', nor does he get cured by the 'power of love'. Because a lot of chinese novels with disorders tend to get cured that way and we all know that's impossible.
  • Our MC gives no f*cks about what other people think, which causes hilarious situations for his friends.
  • The MC loves teasing the ML, this MC is outspoken and the initiator in the relationship which is hard to find in a lot of the Chinese novels.
  • I love that the MC does not 'become' the original Chu Chen.
    Spoiler

Too many times have I read novels where the MC treats the original host's family as their family immediately. Novels where the MC accepts the family so readily and is willing to open their hearts is weird. These people are practically strangers. It's a breath of fresh air when the original host's maternal family comes calling and MC doesn't immediately treat them as family. He doesn't even call his cousin, 'brother' because he knows that these people are strangers.

    [collapse]
  • The original ML, Huo Ling, who was engaged to MC, does not fall in love with MC after finding out that the original MC, Wen Jia Yu, was a green tea *****. Thankfully, the author did not use the troupe of original ML falling in love with MC.
    Spoiler

Huo Ling becomes friends with the MC. It's not a close-knit bond, but they do acknowledge each other.

    [collapse]
  • The whole 'green shoes' bit and the 'quotations for identifying wh**res'.
  • Translation will always be a 5/5 for effort even if there are some minor grammatical issues.
The negatives I found:

  • As much as I love reading scenes where the MC is flirting and teasing the ML and his different personalities, it does become tiring because half the novel revolves around this.
  • There was a plot point about the MC's mental ability, but the author doesn't expand on it. In fact, all we readers get is that the MC's mental ability is different from everyone else and is super strong and even rivals S grade mental ability.
  • Another plot point, that everyone in novel cannot cook to save their lives and it is swept under the rug because the novel the MC transmigrates into said so, so it is so in order for our MC to have one good trait so that he appears likable to other minor characters.
    Spoiler

And so that he can have an ability to 'heal' the ML's mental riot because an MC must 'heal' ML one way or another.

    [collapse]
  • We don't get any explanation on why and how the MC transmigrates. Just that he did. We know very little about the MC's past. There is only a brief mention of his mother who seemed to have suffered from a mental disorder.
    Spoiler

The author also does not expand on the original MC's past either. We only get a quick explanation. The original MC, Wen Jia Yu, is also a transmigrator who arrives in the novel world at an earlier stage but forgets that he is one until much later in the story and then he is quickly shipped off to jail where he is never mentioned again. I would have love to read about a battle between two transmigrators that knows the original plot.

    [collapse]
  • There's some discrepancy on the ML being able to walk and using a wheelchair especially when his other personality, the always angry and tsundere personality pretending to be the main personality. It's too long to explain.
Do I recommend this novel? Yes.

Will it be on my list of re-reads? Maybe.

On a side note, I love the members of the Fen Yan Legion. Just a gang of orphans who became pirates.

Well I can say that this story is quite light, and fun to read.

And as long as you doesnt really care about certain details, then everything is fine.

The only thing that is a bit disturbing in this story is just how everyone has an incredible double standard towards the MC.

Spoiler

ML has multiple personalities which only MC and his family knows about it, and this is often makes outsiders misunderstand and think that MC is having an affair with many people (this is because each ML personality has a different identity).

But none of the characters in the story took this seriously, most of them would just treat this as nothing too important only after MC said that "he has limits..."

Some characters even openly supported him because they felt that ML is not compatible with MC (The identity of the ML who married MC is disabled and critically ill)...

What makes this ironic is that the main villain in this story is a character who likes to cheat, and experiences a lot of hatred because of this.

Meanwhile, MC never gets any hatred.

I mean, even though he doesn't really have an affair but before all of ML identity is explained to outsiders, it is clear that in the eyes of other people, his behavior is not much different from the antagonist character.

Id give this a 3.5/5 the plot and characters are interesting. There are parts of the face slapping which are rushed but the build up for it is good. Im excited to see the white moonlight's face slapping. I just wish some plot points moved faster like the MCs marriage partner being revealed that dragged on for too long

There are parts of the story which dont make a lot of sense maybe its because its lost in the mlt translation. I cant with MSJ and going back and forth between... more>> novel updates and the chapters. The translation is fine just poor website design.

There are a lot of inconsistency with the main couple MC Chu Chen and ML Li Ran

Spoiler

In the beginning it was said that because Li Ran is the main personality he can see what the other personalities can see and talk to them. Somewhere down the line the MC would have a convo with Li Fen (the second personality) but Li Ran would have no knowledge of it.

[collapse]

Spoiler

There was another thing about Li Ran being in a wheel chair and the mom asking the MC why he hasnt said anything about knowing that the ML doesnt have disabled legs cuz at that point the mom told him about the different personalities and that the whole family agreed to sharing it with him. And Chu Chen is like oh you know he'll tell me when he wants. But that doesnt make any sense because he has seen Li Fen walk and has seen Li Yu (the third personality) walk. There was even a time when Li Ran and Chu Chen were at the balcony standing in a corner to hide from the surveillance cameras. The text literally comments about their height difference. Even if we forget about the balcony scene Li Ran supposedly sees and knows everything that the other personalities do. Even if we forget that, Li Ran knows that Li Fen and Chu Chen have interacted before so it wouldnt be a stretch to say that MC knows Li Fen can walk so now that the whole multiple personalities have been exposed it doesnt make any sense to still be in the wheel car.

[collapse]

The weird dynamic of MC and the MLs

Spoiler

We can tell that the MC doesnt like Li Fen. Like at all. Its just the way he consistently makes Li Fen jump through hops is weird to me. Of course I dont expect him to have the same relationship with all 3 personalities it just doesnt sit well with me. I dont see it going well when Li Fen finds out the truth.

Li Yu's character is also puzzling to me. How I understood it is that Li Yu is the unrestrained desire Li Ran has for the MC. Thats fine and all but at some parts of the story Li Ran rejects all intimacy with the MC like he is not attracted to him in that way. He switches between hot and cold which I found weird. Sometimes he blushes sometimes he's like straight up no. Thats fine and all I just dont see the value of having Li Yu added to the mix. Then there are parts when the MC is looking to get intimate with Li Ran he straight up just says would you mind bringing out Li Yu. Over all weird plot point dont know where it was supposed to go.

Im not done yet but from what the other comments are saying I might drop it. I am not a fan of stories that drag on for no reason. Up to now the story is moving forward thats all I can say. I really like the friendship dynamic of Hou Ling and Chu Chen. Hopefully there are more interactions with his other friends Wu and Wen <<less

This is the weirdest but a very unique reverse harem I've ever read. And there's only 1 ML. Read spoilers below.

Although the ML has multiple (3) personalities, they all feel like different people and the author does a good job making it feel like they have separate bodies and lives.

As for the MC, the MC is straight up shameless. He knows what he wants and is good at getting it. He is the type of person that we all say our spirit animal is but too scared to be. MC is also a huge troll in a 'I'm not stuck in here with you, you're stuck in here with me' type of way.

My biggest complaint about this story has to be how MC does string along one of the MLs. It's funny at the beginning but the author does drag it for a long while to where it seems unusual for the MC to do it for this long. Although MC is a shameless troll, MC also likes things to be straight to the point after awhile. I understand it's to tease the ML but it does get cringe.

Although I do give it 4 stars, I feel like the author is now dragging the story now. Yes, the main issue of the plot has not been resolved, but it feels wrapped up. It's like watching filler episodes for an anime. Since I reached the farthest point of the translated version, I'm not going to continue to read this despite enjoying it due to this reason. <<less

It's so funny, the MC just plays jokes on everyone. There's a nice balance of romance and development of both the MC and ML.

It never dragged on; the pacing of the story was pretty good. It's a lighthearted read especially after MC deals with his family drama.
