Gu Xiyu led a task.

He needed to go to few small worlds to solve the villains whose dangerous index exceeded the standard, so that the world can restore it’s harmony and beauty. It’s just that, the system sent to him was a bit strange. The first sentence it used to greet him was–

I put off starting this and damn do I regret it, at least I was able to binge it all after it was completed. As a QT novel I didn’t have high expectations, but all the arcs were pulled off very nicely and I loved that we see the afterwards after MC completes the mission. My favorite had to be the second arc, though each arc was properly built and I was pleased to see that the protagonists/side characters weren’t all unnecessarily evil, and that a good number of them... more>> were actually good, solid characters. The villains were easily identifiable and there was no extreme plot twists or manipulations going on behind the scenes (other than when ML was plotting his revenge). I loved the dry humor MC had and the way he handled ML all the way. My first impressions of ML were of a tyrannical CEO, but he is a simp and an idiot (in MC’s eyes). <<less

No regret at all... deserved the rating, full of soursweet :v not bittersweet although they are transmigration with system setting and world hoping all of our ML all one person so there will be no complicated drama in ur heart, every interaction is enough I find it enjoying and not frustrating at all, good reading

It was really a good read.

Short summary:-

GX (MC) is asked to go to different world and decrease the risk value of villains, because apparently a highly demon soul got disintegrated and all the soul fragments went to different world making the villain more dangerous.

... more>> The whole story is about "ML had life Full of pain, darkness and disappointment and then there comes a light, light of hope, care and love, that is our MC".

Both heal each other and introduce others to new emotions of love, and longing.

But why he (MC) was assigned to task?

What's the relationship between those demon soul and him?

How did he (MC) manage to decrease the risk value.?

Other than being hero or villain there is also third way to live.. but whatt is it?

It you want to find those answers you should definitely go for it.

There is no annoying system here. Actually there two system one is main system and another intelligent system.

But there is spoiler below. It's a first time I have actually enjoyed the conversation between system and host.

No face slapping from MC or ML. It's complicated to explain why there isn't and why there's no need either. Just read it guys.

Characters:-

    1. GX (MC) - he is at start emotional less, he is commander Gu working for the special bureau where dangerous souls are prisoners. Don't want to give many spoils but he is good actually not a hero neither villain, he is there to just complete his name task. But eventually he will fall for our ML.
    1. WXH (ML) - you won't see the ML name until the end of all arc. He is different from all other ML that I have ever read in my life. He was prisoner in the same level where GX is commander, things happens and he got disintegrated souls, then the world hopping starts.
    1. The protagonist from the arcs:- both male and female ones, they were not bad, they were good people, there is not enough storyline about them but they are their and once you read the story you'll understand why there's no need for revenge.
And now let me tell you, what things you may not like, because I didn't,

First, who can decide who is protagonist or villain or Cannon fodder?

In first arc villain asks MC' why all bad things are happening to me? Because I'm not the protagonist of this story?'

Isn't it valid question? Why? Both hero and villain faced the same things, everyone isolated them, said bad things they weren't loved in childhood... But why one is hero and other villain?

Because hero decide to save and care for the people because he want to gain their respect or whatever... But villains wants revenge for all his grievance and what's wrong in it? I don't think anything.

Now here's the thing I didn't like that

when MC used to say I'm here to save protagonist, have to protect him and all that. But atleast in those arcs protagonist didn't harm our ML, so that was that.

MC was of third path, ignorance, numb.. he himself faced many things when he was human but he didn't take revenge on anyone his concept they hurt me but I'll just live my life more happy and will go at top of the world.

And if we actually think about it, he's right, why waste timing in revenge thinking about them, such a waste.

Nevermind, there are many things but let's not talk about them.

Just keep your mind open while reading, you'll like the story even the end is HE. So no worries!!! <<less

I woild like to give this story a high 100% rating. It's exaggerating but for me it was the most beautiful story.

The ML and the MC are love story is really beyond what I expected. The summary says it all. I just want to clarify it. There are many worlds existed. The space/time fortress is a guard to any being that can destroy any worlds. There are criminals in there for such offenses like jumping to another world not their own, or destroying their world, or became an uncontrollable rampant.... more>> This could apply to any beings. ML is a prisoner under the 7th level where the MC commands. And their story started in there.

Actually I thought, the MLs soul was split to many pieces but it was just 5. Yes. The world jump was only 5 but it was informative and fulfilling.

The world jump mission is to control/solve ML from being rampant. But, the hidden meaning of the world jumps are actually MCs journey for finding his true self and unlucking the secrets of both of the parties story.

Meaning this was my first time that I didnt fully foreshadow things that was revealed in the ending. I know it was a happy ending but I didnt know the depths of it. The closure was so good.

I really highly recommend this. It's just base for my self tho.

The ending has only 2 chapters but it was wholesome. And it was enough. It's like you didnt even need anymore. It was a closure and the start of their own true story. The truth about everything makes me cry. Im so glad it was a HE. I woud break down if it's not

I very badly want to read this novel given all the great reviews, but I can barely understand exactly what is going on. Will probably have to continue until I actually understand and reread the first few chapters.

All in all the first few chapters have just caused me a massive headache in trying to understand the plot direction, the goal of the MC, whether there is a system, what was going on when one of the systems? was corrupted...

Damn, doubting my comprehension skills now TT

Ordinarily, something of this quality would warrant 5 stars on NU. However, the ML is a r*pey, mu*dering little incel who enjoys domestic violence, which has seriously compromised my reading experience. The story is a little too sympathetic to cowards of his ilk; may the author experience on her own body the full brunt of the worldview that she is selling for clicks.

Probably one of the few QTs that isn't repetitive, where the MC's character development is constantly shown to progress within each arc. The story also doesn't unnecessarily paint the protagonists of the missions worlds as evil masterminds or hypocrites.

I'm too lazy to type a long review but let's just say that if you like QWTFD dynamic then you will certainly like this. But MC isn't OP nor equipped with a golden finger, the system also doesn't help much due to *certain* reasons, but it is nonetheless a good QT.

I love this!

What makes this story unique from other transmigration novels is that —- instead of attaching to the MC, the system actually attached to the ML lol

So the MC thinks he's talking with the system, but really, it's the ML. And due to being attached by the system, the ML becomes aware of the MC's mission.

The arcs are also very interesting. Although I mostly like the 1st, 2nd and 4th arc. I didn't like the 3rd and 5th arcs as much. What I also like is that there's no... more>> unnecessary arcs, every arc played a role in letting the readers understand more about MC and ML.

I love the real world arc!!!!! I didn't guess that their story is like that, I just wish there were more real world arc extras tho.

This is definitely a must read!

I didn't expect much, in fact I almost quit after the first arc since I don't like when ML has a bigger advantage than MC (my preferences) but I continued and it was the best decision, I feel like more things could be developed but overall it was an excellent story 🥰

arc 1: At first I didn't like it and I thought it would be difficult for MC but in the end ML and he get a marriage contract and it's very interesting, both are superficial in feelings and ML is very... special (When he's dying, he poisons MC so they can leave together LOL)

Arc 2: Here it's pure laughter with a ML tsundere, MC can't imagine himself with anyone else now and can only have contact with ML (bc the first arc, I found it sweet) When ML calls MC "mom" GOD

A big thank you to the translators!!!

Wow, this was quite the ride! I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, and although I'm a little sad about it ending, the plot is wrapped up nicely.

Really enjoyed the subtle clues all throughout the story that give insight into their forgotten past.

The first world's ending was so jarring it was kinda funny. Dude really didn't want ANYONE to be with Gu Xiyu ever again, like, damn, that's crazy bro.

Lin Mianmian was so cute omg haha. I feel so sorry that she had to experience such betrayal from who she thought was her trusted older brother... ugh still feel like stabbing him after all this time!

Cause despite how he's just following along the ML the MC is kinda also pulling all the strings on how the ML would act

A really fun story. I do wish the villain as system played a bigger role in some of the worlds. In some worlds I felt as if it played a minimal role.

This story focuses on the relationship with the ML and MC. The situation that causes ML grief is also talked about but honestly it is mostly about how the MC helped soothed the ML’s grievances.

In the first world, I think the author just started the story so it felt very messy to me. I was quite confused when reading... more>> the story as each new scene seemed abrupt to me. Later arcs are better written and flows more smoothly.

Like most world-hopping stories it’s a MC x ML (whose soul is in different bodies). It was a surprisingly decent story even though the genre is very over done. The 1st arc was a pretty good starting point and placed down a set “persona” for the ML leading on but just a warning the ML does progressively get more and more violent as the story develops, almost to the point of domestic ab*se. All arcs were a okay read, just your normal story settings (ceo, royalty, interstellar, cultivation, etc) Though... more>> MC and ML have a very hot-blooded, almost enemies to lovers type of romance. The ending actually did a decent job with cutting all of its loose storylines. The side characters were also like able but not that fleshed out (most but not all). Pretty decent I’m quite surprised, I did cry in the last arc though. Our MC is really ruthless and almost emotionless most of the time. <<less

Holy shitttt. I thought this QT novel like others QT novel when I read the early comments, but I had been convinced by the latest comments.

AM NOT REGRETS READ ITS. I LUV IT!!!

The explaination at the end about the relationship is so beautiful that made me tear-up.

The ML: I thought he will be like other tsundare, obsessive, controling, pea brain one but!!! His character is perfect for our smart witty cool MC. Not ganna lie I always love Shou more than the Gong but this time sorry baby Xiyu, Your... more>> gong is first place in my fav character chart after you. Hahahahahah

The Mc: I am really impresse how realistic and unrealistic his character is. How he teach me that if there no place for you there, than find other place that need you there (how he leave his royal family bcs no one care and then become the protector of other people that appreciate him and love him). Love how witty, stubborn and head strong he is, love how gentle but cool on the outside persona of his hahhahah

MY MOST FAV PART ABOUT THIS NOVEL IS : They both had suffering at their early life but chose different approach, I love how they should never meet each other (only because of Time And Space Bureau that they meet) because they are from different world different realm different time but at the end their meet each other. 😭😭😭 Transcendent love beyond world!!!!!! This is really good, it is finished, it is QT, although there are only few worlds and not much diverse in genre, the characters were the best. I love Gu Xiyu, ML is also not that typical.

I love how the ending did not turn into a big conspiracy, but more of a reunion or a second chance, cause QT novels like this tend to have a really deep and heavy plot near the end, which is kind of confusing

Very enjoyable. A good addition for people who like QT. A fresh feeling novel where both setting and the OG story between MC and ML is pretty good and feels new. ML is very interesting in this one, not a flat typical brain dead love ML, but as the arcs go by, he gets more depth along with MC. Last arc was the best one imo and story stays strong from beginning to end.

It's not a novel that breaks all tropes and does something wildly new, but it is well... more>> written, with a clear plot, character development and not only are the MC and ML endearing, each world has good supporting characters that add to the main couples lives and the worlds.

wish there were extras because I'd love to know more about the MC/ML's final actual life but it ends well nonetheless. All relevant plot points wrapped up pretty well.

edit: saw an absolutely s*upid review with high likes call the relationship 'toxic' after reading 20 chapters. Holding my head in my hands here. Please go read a kids story where everyone holds hands and skips into rainbows if you can't even handle such a simple setting where the MC must stop the ML from destroying himself and the world and does so BY LOVING HIM AND HELPING HIM WITH HIS TRAUMA. Do people like just read every alternate paragraph and then claim the story is bad???? <<less

I absolutely loved the story, the characters, the setting and plot. Everything about it. I really wish there were extras but I am satisfied with how the plot progressed and with the sweet ending.

I recommend the story. It's enjoyable and fun to read. It's been a while since I truly enjoyed a story so much. Nothing in it bothered me and giving it a justified 5/5

Loved every character because even the passing sides and villians where not all stereotypes and they had personalities!

Each transmigration is focused on the development of feelings, sadly that means the world quickly finishes once feelings are confirmed but that's fine for this novel.

MC is true to his character throughout and is efficient and smart who knows how to get things done, but not in a emotionless way like some other Mc's.

... more>> ML is lovely in every world, he's different in each but always carries that good sense of familiarity.

Though of course ML is the villian and he doesn't suddenly turn into a tamed baby when he meets MC which is a nice change for once.

Love the author, love the characters, love the plot, love the novel.

I'm sad to see it end. <<less

Loved the MC, not rigid as in being 2D, not frigid as in dense as heck and does not turn illogical as the story goes on if you know what I mean, if not.... well if you read more as in go click the dense protagonist tag and you will see, sometimes dense is not the adjective I would use to describe and person whose intelligence goes offline without reason. The story is well planned so no loopholes or at least major ones and ML is quite the charming type... more>> with a hint of spice I would say. Not Mr Perfect but even if ML isn't, well nobody is perfect, he saw at last his light at the end of the tunnel I guess. Hope I didn't spoil anything. <<less
