I like the story in general, but I've read ahead and a harem seems to be developing (like almost all of the important female characters have kissed him by chapter 500 and it's not all initiated by the females). I really don't like harem novels and I feel like the harem element is just being used to explain why all the females trust and give him so much support in this novel (The later female characters seem to insta fall in love with MC). In addition, having multiple partners (I... more>> think in a more cheating sense rather than polygamy) seems to be a sin in that world but the MC never explicitly tells any of the girls that he's having an ambiguous relationship with the other girls. They seem to figure that out by themselves and are fine with it even though one is a princess, one is a powerful soothsayer, one is a famous author, and one is a powerful ring warlock (who states that she sees him as her possession and is also the AUNT of the princess). BTW the aforementioned are only the ones who've kissed the MC by chapter 500, there are other female characters who seem interested in the MC but haven't kissed him yet. Plus, even after it seems to be revealed that his true desire is his other me he still maintains the ambiguous relationships (he hasn't confirmed any type of relationship with any of the girls). Lastly, the MC seems to find cross-dressing (man crossdressing as a woman) disgusting and is still disgusted by the cross-dressing character even after being told that it's the current fashion trend for playwrights, which is :/ to say the least

So, I'm dropping it until the translator gets to the chapter I read ahead to and I'll recheck to see if a harem tag is added and if it's not I might reread and see how the author is going to U-turn. <<less

I can’t help but think of LOTM after reading the beginning, but the power system and writing feel original to me. I was impressed by the character building and the very realistic descriptions of how he felt and what he planned to do after waking up in a stranger’s body with no money or memory, and the fantasy system seems really cool. I will say, things seem to be lining up a little too conveniently for MC, at least from the little action I’ve seen so far, but I’m hoping... more>> things get more complex and he actually has to work to overcome conflicts as the story continues.

How convenient that one of the first people he runs into recruits him into one of the few established “good” groups in society, how convenient that the one spell he knows (glow in the dark finger) has already helped out twice, and the only other spell he acquired helped him cheat in a difficult situation that made no logical sense. Like why would a chef just offer to make a bet with MC using playing cards after a little brat bit his hand and made him bleed?

its good enough. Currently have only three downsides.

the stakes.

the harem. Gets waaaaay too bloated with female characters that it just get tiring. Even as someone who came from chinese novels, this one is one of the more bloated ones in terms of cast. As a positive note, they somewhat each have their own personality so that's a plus.

the repetition. Is line with the first downside, its practically all the same with a slight nuance or variance.

got burned out by the 4th volume but kept reading since the nuances were interesting enough to stick around and to see how it ends but, even the ending gets spoiled by itself and im too tired to care anymore.

I feel like author is Dragging the story. The Power system is Kinda new. But Its also messy. Author tried to make the power system complex but it became kinda confusing and Kinda useless also.

Also Unnesssery hell lvl difficulty Things. Also author tried to copy LOTM elements like that Security company, Evil God descent. Author Tried to make those events significant but they were not. We can't see any far reaching impact, or some political Overviews. They Don't fit well.
