I just couldn't stop myself from writing review this early. I'm loving this novel too much, I really don't care much about who's gonna be the ML the MC in itself such a chief kiss. I've read tones of novels in which characters are forgiven irrespective of everything they've done in the past. But the MC remembers each and everything remembers his helplessness and even if he didn't directly wish to extract revenge he wouldn't let anyone interfere with his freedom. Downgraded version of the Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation... instead of a crematorium. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't much of a crematorium as someone who likes to read a lot of depressing heart wrenching crematorium angst. It was also similar to the Untamed, in the sense that WWX and XY both fell of a cliff, were hidden for a couple of years (length is diff), there is a really loving sweet male lead waiting for MC, and lot of going in circles with back stories and stuff. And... more>> in my opinion if you really catch onto everything that is happening, the Untamed is way more angsty without overly magnifying the suffering of the leads as much, but better with world building, storytelling, and almost everything else than this book. Only difference is there are 3 love interests, an evil father, less engaging plot points and a whole lot of romance. Honestly, I just feel bad for both MYY and GLY because they weren't exactly evil but suffered cause they loved MC throughout, and never particularly tried to harm him. I just feel like them being made into scums was just a manifestation of the MC's perception that they hate him, and honestly MC is very clueless.

I don't feel bad for Xiao Du, the demon sect guy, he honestly deserved it. In fact he deserves to be hung in a execution room in a prison, cause I got psychopath manipulative serial killer vibes from him, just that XY was not falling for his bs which is good.

XY is badass, and the fact that he very quickly blocks these people out of his life makes this book much less of a crematorium cause it just shows how less emotion, time and attachment he has spent on these people. And I feel like his attitude towards them is quite accurate.

All in all it is very enjoyable to read, but not to the point of making it into a drama, cause it would be very quickly placed on a comparison scale with the Untamed and will fail to meet expectations and impossible to pass censorship. How do you even make this bromance? <<less

As much as I love crematorium novels, I hesitated when the synopsis had a 'possibility' of being a harem novel because I really hate harem ones (the tags said otherwise but I usually don't mind the tags that much lol), but this novel exceed my expectations. Although he had other people pining for him, MC was decisive to draw the line and only focused on one person.

I clapped on how every single one who did MC wrong received the most appropriate karma for what they did. I really love how... more>> the story progressed, not overly slow but not entirely fast paced either. The gradual development of MCs like to the ML was also understandable. He was the only one out of all that he felt a little bit guilty of. I did not even realize that their romance was slow because at the beginning of the novel there were already signs of crumbs.. The twists and turns were predictable but also not. Especially Shizun's back story for treating MC that way, I was not expecting that. It's nice to read something so beautifully written, plot-wise it is amazing how the author tied up the loose ends at the end. It's not just your ordinary cultivation novel. <<less

OMG. one of the best novels ever.

It's so satisfying to the core.

It's so rare to find the bottom actually a girlboss💪. He broke all steryotypes. and the way he got revenge one per one.

It's so refreshing really. it made me so happy. And I liked the ending. like thank god I wanted him to end up with that ML and they did so slayyy.

Love the translation too.

I binge read it for like 4 days without sleep and I had my finals.. was it worth it??... Actually no I'm falling but anyways the story was so good wth. would sacrifice my sleep fer with again 👍 <<less

This is the first Crematorium novel I've read and it is very well written and the translator did an excellent job

I kept reading and I finished it, but it wasn't my cup of tea. I didn't like any of the characters, I didn't like the romance, I thought the revenge plot was too drawn out, but, I understand those plot points are what make crematorium stories unique and enjoyable for others

I gave it four stars, three for the story and one for the translator

I love MC character and feel bad for the past relationship (with male characters) and hope he can move on and live a happy life. But I found the relationship development between MC and love candidates (and ML) sort of puzzling, how can they be so lovestruck? After 90+ chaps I just got bored and I don’t really remember the story.

Something about the many characters suddenly introduced, too many plotline shown and resolved in one part yet some parts dragging on and in general I can't relate to the main character being too indifferent. He undergoes so much trauma but has not much, yet the MLs who ab*se him are traumatized like errr... what 😃 I can't understand how they have deep love for him and do so much, at least some books just say it's surface deep but this just feels very melodramatic. I should like this but I... more>> don't. Oh well. <<less

I want to rate it 4/5 but I feel like it's too awful to rate it as such... It's good enough for 5/5 so I'll go with it.

I enjoyed the most is after All Have is gone. And no one recognized him yet. But those chapters are so few grr. What annoyed me is he was found too soon.

Personally, I feel like our MC's anger is valid. There are times when I was thinking that he should just reconcile, the ML are pitiful, etc etc. But thinking about what he... more>> experienced from them will enlighten me. He's been disdained and sort-off bullied by Mu Yingyang for the whole time they're together, but he was forced to endure him due to All Have. He's the definition if Tsundere, idk what's he's being tsun for. Can't you just show your love openly? Bruh...

Xiao Du on the other hand fed him a Gu and forced him to dual cultivate with a random man he haven't met, as well as the restricting his freedom. This guy is just too dumb at expressing his feeling, does acting all high and mighty so fun? Bruh...

While Gu guy (forgot the name, let's call him the Young Pavilion Master YPM) bleed him to anorexia lol. Honestly, YPM is the most forgivable for me, he didn't want to bleed him to death, it's the only option against instant death. Anyway MC provoked him first. YPM gave him everything MC wants. He also tried desperately to look for him during those 2yrs, now he's even demonized due to our MC. But... If I were the MC, I still won't forgive them.

It's easier to tell others to forgive those who harmed them when it's not us standing in their shoes.

Anyway, I reached Chapter 48. 49 onwards is closed. I don't know how to access it. I'm not in the mood to finish reading this, so I will keep this review as my personal bookmark. Incase I want to reread this, I know where I stopped.

Deliciously angsty throughout almost the whole story. If that's not to your liking, you might not enjoy this story very much. But if you want something steeped in tragedy but with a HE, then you'll probably like it!

Definitely a jem. Beautiful and ruthless MC with cold but passionate ML. (My fav)

The novel is both tragic and slightly angsty (not too much though). I would like to read some more chapters for shizun. He sacrificed more than ML. He is the most innocent and selfless character who loved MC wholeheartedly.

I was worried about the other love interests, because they suck, but thankfully the one I wanted was endgame (I did have to check though). The other two love interests are pretty unbearable and I did find the chapters that focus on them a bit of a slog to get through. I did enjoy the MC, the cool aloofness and both insight and lack of insight into himself, it felt very natural. Happy I read this!

Wow I'm so glad I read this, this was so good. I was in reading slump and finding this was like finding gold!

I was rather reluctant with the multiple ML so I need to make sure that it was 1v1. And reading it, I was still wary because I simply didn't like some ML and so I didn't want them to become the endgame, but thankfully my ship sailed.

I like when instead of the MC, it's the ML who's suffering. I like the MC, he's a bit heartless, yes, but... more>> he was still relatively kind.

His older brother was the worst, the typical tyrannical ML. The ideal way would be for the MC to be as far away from him until the end, but then again, MC was still kind. At least the gege knew how to behave in the end, he kinda had excellent self restraint lol.

His shidi was the most irritating, in my opinion. Tsundere, and then forceful. Compared to other MLs he was the weakest actually, both in his 'ab*se' for MC and what he 'sacrificed' for MC. I kinda wish the MC was meaner to him though, I just don't like the way he kept pestering MC, and the way MC couldn't just kick him or something. At least in the end he knew he just could't compete.

GLY was kinda typical ML, cold and morally straight. But he's the most suitable for MC. MC crave freedom, and GLY, despite his feeling for MC, never forced MC to do anything. With GLY, MC was the one who had the control. And well he's kinda the most good looking too. I like that the MC just started to liking GLY casually and ended up liking him so much. It feels natural

I dont think the MC went overboard. He just wanna be left alone and so, he acted the way he did. It's not that he wanted revenge in the first place. He just wanted to stay away from these characters. But in the process, he did hurt some people. I do like that because after all, I dont want to read about flawless characters.

And he did regret hurting the ML. But I get why he didnt think it would affect him that much. After all, he didnt think anyone was in love with him. I actually pity the ML coz everything he did was his best option. I do believe his obsession was really because of guilt at first. He was attracted but I dunno if the feelings were that deep in the beginning. Perhaps whilst they stayed in that cave, he started loving him.

I don't think MC was overpowered at all. Without the help of so many people, his plans wouldn't even work no matter how smart he is. But anyways, thankfully everything was wrapped up well and the story was written well too.

XiaoDu love line was an uncomfortable read though. Also the Lin guy falling for his sibling. Ew. But in my imagination, XiaoDu was really the hottest. If there was a manhwa, he would definitely be the hottest.

The characters are very much my taste. I am a sucker for beautiful characters.

I like that the MC is playful and pretty smart. He is just the right amount if ruthless.

The ML doesn’t have much of a personality but I adore devoted love so its fine.

I love the way they all are obsessed with MC because I like all the attention he gets. I think his shidi was a bit unnecessary tho. Xian du is a bit sad. I wouldn’t have minded him becoming the one besides the step brother thing. I quite like unhealthy obsessive love...

The story was good however I didn’t enjoy the pacing and the story telling. I didn’t rlly feel all the suffering and emotions all the way. It all seemed a bit rushed or not hurtful enough.

It also felt like something was missing. Like a huge fight or a turning point. There was one but it wasn’t satisfactory in my opinion.

Nevertheless not bad I enjoyed reading it but it didn’t take my breath away or made me think about it for a while.

4.0 but I would like to give about 4.3!

mc: I love him! As much as I like reading mary/gary sue mcs, I also equally enjoy stories whereby the MC is cunning, merciless & bears grudges. Xiao yuan personality portrays all of these traits and that to me is what makes him even more likeable! It's realistic, raw and understandably so. What he goes through in the first part of the story that builds the frame for what was to come after; all I can say is he deserves the world... more>> and more. We love a capable, deceitful (not to mention beautiful!) MC :)

ml: I read a review before starting on the novel, so I pretty much spoiled myself on who the ML is. But even without it, I think I would have still agreed with the xiao yuan and author-nim's choice, bc frankly speaking I didn't rly want any of them to end up with the MC. But its more of a " if one must be picked bc that's how stories go " I would go for him too. Although, I feel that in an alternate universe xiao yuan would likely do just fine without anyone, living the independent life he wanted and being free as a bird!

as most stories w harem-like settings with a 1v1 ending, there will be bound to be someone who is a 2nd ML (in this case even a 3rd ml). But honestly speaking, I think one of them shouldn't even qualify in the harem >: (like come on,

overall, there is a good plot and some twists I didn't see coming! All the mysteries tied together really well, and also gives u a very clear picture so it's not confusing to piece the puzzle.

what I didn't like: the system! I'm sorry, but why on earth did u do that to xiao yuan: (he means well, but alas I was hoping he would stay with him longer. I feel our MC would not have felt as alone for those few years, lost and having to find his own footing again in the strange world. But ah well :)

I took off a star just bc I would have preferred if our MC had a happy ending as someone who gained his freedom and could finally start a relaxing farm life away from all these s*um gongs and sect people. Like bro, fight by urselves cos xiao yuan ain't got time for u! Anyway, its a good read and recommend :D <<less
