Shi Qingqian, originally named Huo Qingqian, was the only daughter of the Huo family, the top cultivation family in the outer sect. She was aloof and noble, possessing an innate Immortal Physique. She reached Foundation Establishment in a hundred days and Core Formation the very next day. Her extraordinary talent was hailed as the greatest in the cultivation world for millions of years. Even when it was later discovered that she was a fake young lady who had swapped places with the Huo family’s true young lady, A’Ling, no one dared to say a word.

In contrast, Huo family’s A’Ling, the true young lady who was found, not only had dull aptitude and was utterly foolish, but was also consumed by greed, insidious, and malicious. Everyone said she was unworthy of being the Huo family’s eldest young lady. Next to Shi Qingqian, who was like the moon in the sky, A’Ling was like a weed that deserved to be trampled into the mud.

Thus, she secretly learned forbidden pleasure arts, using every method to seduce Huo Qingqian. She even had to resort to drugging the aloof and self-possessed Shi Qingqian to dual cultivate with her. However, afterward, she discovered she couldn’t withstand Shi Qingqian’s immortal power and painfully burst apart and died. Before her death, A’Ling was filled with regret:

It hurts so much. She wouldn’t dare do it again.

When she opened her eyes again, A’Ling found herself reborn to the year she had just reached Foundation Establishment. In this life, she no longer dared to scheme against Shi Qingqian, nor harbor any plots. She avoided Shi Qingqian, diligently cultivating in an honest manner, absolutely never daring to meet her again.

Yet, unexpectedly, on a day of heavy rain, Shi Qingqian blocked her path. The person wore a white robe, holding a plain umbrella, standing before her. She was like the distant moon in the sky, and her usually aloof demeanor now held a trace of bewilderment.

“Are you avoiding me?”

The protagonist - A'Ling- is pretty dumb, which is ironic considering she's a reincarnated century old soul. Her logic can be very absurd, especially when it comes to how she views the FL - Shi Qingqian, (people can find it annoying, which I do sometimes, but I mostly find it entertaining).

Her progression as a character as well as her powers is pretty slow, especially the latter, but the FL and side characters make up for it (mostly)

The story is pretty standard for the genre, so not much to... more>> say about that. It mostly focuses on the main characters and their misunderstandings, with some plot-y things happening in the background.

Overall, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I find it fun to read so I'm going to see it though. Also, props to the translators, they did a really good job. <<less
