The fated person heart is actually inside him and he's willing to die if that mean to end the fated person. Ji Yaozi finally can become his true self and give some final lessons to MC because he's his master (MC call him master, he never call Feng Li master).

The Qi family and Chi family are rotten to the core, the Qi family get their power from the Chi family bloodline. They are pawn of the fated person (main villain). The death of ML is actually all moved by the fated person/fatalist, he's a false god. He predicted that ML will kill him, that's why he lie to the world that ML is a disaster that will destroy the world. He believe that only MC can kill ML and even tried to brainwash MC (he fail because MC desire for ML is stronger). The fated person goal is to become a real god which later will be used as advantage by MC and ML teams to kill him.

They are enemy, literally enemy. MC lied to everyone that he and ML have a relationship, ML confessed to MC but he rejected it. This caused ML to tease MC to death (literally) by killing him 18 times (inside a dream and attempted mu*der in reality). MC hold grudge against ML because of this and learn to become stronger to kill ML. Because of MC said to everyone he love ML, everyone misunderstood that MC want to commit su*cide and go to ML side (he's actually training to use the yin-yang ring which requirement is near death danger). They all persuade MC that ML is already dead and there's still so many hope that MC can find. Even the OG gong of the story, Feng Li (his master) said that he will kill ML because of the death bad luck around MC (Jiang Luo keep saying that ML missed him lmao).

Their first kiss is at ch 67, MC kissed ML to use him as a scapegoat (fight another ghost). Detail of the kissing is at ch 68, ML later got mad at MC and retaliate with a more brutal kissing that caused MC's lips to be bruised. Because of this first kiss, they kiss in a fight like it's normal. You tell me what kind of enemy kiss each other so passionately, I don't believe they're straight at all (゜Q゜) ノ？

Their rivalry continue to the point MC carve his name Jiang Luo to ML's artificial heart, use his shampoo etc just to rule ML in. At ch 75, MC torture the weaken ML to ennact revenge from his 18x death. Unfortunately the pain seems to be nothing against ML.

Those two did it at chapter 100-102. They did it not out of love (both of them are still in denial) but at least there's a progress. Both of them are new to this kind of thing so their technique is poor. At first ML thought he'd lose interest in MC after they did it, turns out his desire for MC keep getting stronger. He's even mad when MC's soul got trapped in the mirror world.

In the mirror world, MC meet his real parents and got married off to ML's family, this show the truth about the past of the two. The teenager ML in the mirror world and the ML from the real world meet (not using real body), those two have a cold war. The mirror Chi You find out that he's the false one and wanted to trap MC inside the mirror world, he almost killed the entire town in the mirror world. That's when MC discovered both the mirror world ML and the real world ML like him. ML didn't want to admit that he like MC but MC want ML to admit that he like him, tease him to the point the other party run away for the first time.

They did it again at ch 139 in the dream. Those two create a cooperation to kill the fated person, pretending to fight each other and get hurt (they did "fight" each other). MC didn't really want to kill ML like the fated person wanted, ML were to die the world will be too dull and boring. ML create a realistic dream for MC and drag his friends (the plot is super exciting and horror). MC friends who died in the dream world and become ghost get the vip seat to see both MC and ML 1st class flirting at ch 165. At the new year eve (ch 174) ML give MC bunch of expensive gifts, there's a phone among the gifts. Later at night, the phone *ehem* in a way, ML make MC hear him jerk off the entire night.

ML already suspect that MC (jiang luo) is not the same as the og one, MC use his life as a threat to control ML (actually the purpose is for ML nit to destroy the world), they did it again for the 3rd time ch 183. MC take away half of the fated person power which cause his body to be damaged because of the immense power, ML almost kill the fated person and torture the Lian family to cure MC. ML admit that he like MC and ask him to be his lover. MC agree but in his mind, he plan to break up in the future later (which mean he's still in denial).

At the mountain, MC almost die and realize his feelings for ML, ML went inside despite knowing that the fated person on purpose use MC as bait to kill ML. Teng Bi use his life to revived MC while ML is in critical condition. MC protect ML away from everyone in the forest for fear that everyone can kill ML in his current condition and he don't want that. MC confessed to ML at ch 211 after the plan Ge Wuchen create to MC jealous kind of succeed (MC even admit he will kill ML and anyone who ML may potentially like), this make ML so happy, they did it again at ch 212. The next day when ML is changing the sheets of the bed (after MC told him to), the bed collapsed (they papapa too much).

After the fated person completely die, everyone got their peace. MC use ML phone out of curiosity, his chat only has MC in it, the album password is the first time they did it, and inside the album is full of "ugly" pictures of him sleeping.

Teng Bi/dead ghost and Lu Youyi. In the new year eve, Teng Bi give Lu Youyi a red scarf but he didn't show himself and LY don't know who is it from (because Teng Bi betray LY in a way and didn't dare show himself). Before Teng Bi completely die, he ask MC to give his sword to Lu Youyi and tell him that he's sorry and happy new year. When Lu Youyi hear about Teng Bi death, he was devastated and deny that Teng Bi is really dead. MC told LY that there's a small chance that Teng Bi still can be revived.

At the end of bonus chapter, Teng Bi/Dead ghost is revived but with no memory. He look at Lu Youyi and feel that he's so familiar with him. In the end their relationship status still remained as friend.

Getting multiple puppets to go to Jiang Luo's office for interviews because he want's to work/commute with him. Eating the food Jiang Luo cooked because JL make it and he wanted to try it.

His cluelessness can also be pretty cute, like when he was trying to learn mating from the fish 💀. Honestly the cuteness stops there.

I know it was insinuated that Chi You was an unreliable narrator + manipulative even to the readers of the original novel MC read, but how can important events like the things going on in the big families not be known? I don't think it was mentioned if Jiang Luo completed the novel, but it was mentioned that he had a very good grasp of Chi You's character.

Another slight flaw, in my opinion at least, would be the author's clear hesitance to kill characters. I think only one important character (not counting the immortal guy) stayed dead. The knife zombie dude got revived, MC got revived after being dead for less than half a chapter. I think the author should have kept characters dead for a bit longer so the death would sink in a bit more, for Jiang Luo's at least. By all means I don't want the characters dead, but I feel like it makes more sense for the setting for more people to die, but at the same time, the setting does work to bring people back to life. This is just my personal thoughts, don't think about them much

The way Jiang luo realized he had fallen for Chi You is so beautiful QAQ and how Chi you reacted at his death was also heartbreaking. Just the right amount of angst there!! Their half a month-long runaway trip was also something to look forward to. Haha made for each other!!!
