So fun at the beginning but the ending was super disappointing. There was no wrap up for any of the characters leaving the reader with so many questions. There was truly no conclusion to the story, just random updates on the world setting that nobody needed without any of the main characters.

Although the Demon Cultivator could not cultivate anymore, he still had some tricks up his sleeve, leading Song Jixing on a cat-and-mouse chase before inevitably failing to escape.... The next evening, Song Jixing brought the captured Demon Cultivator back to the base...."

If there were more tension - like any comedy or romance, or more challenges or internal monologue by the FL, or deeper characterization of the supporting cast, the novel could have improved greatly. It's an interesting premise that just wasn't executed properly imo.

I think this story could have a lot of potential. The idea of a cultivators existing in modern world, adapting and transferring knowledge and skill to improve the modern world. It's a fascinating and intriguing set up.

I just wished it's developed properly. An interesting idea or concept is just that... an intriguing concept. Once you established and set up the story... you have to developed it... which just never happens.... more>> It's like the author just doesnt want to or know what to do afterward.

Anyone know any novel with similar set up that's competently written?

If chp 157 is indeed the last chapter, then it was a very disappointing ending. Besides the unsatisfying ending, the story in general did not live up to expectations. I had high hopes for such an interesting premise but it wasn't executed well - it's like someone had a really good idea but they didn't quite know what to do with it and ended up creating a subpar product. I wish I could rate it higher but I'd be going against my conscience.

The MC herself - I'm not sure if... more>> she was meant to come across this way or if it's bad writing but - her personality is kinda flat. She does not have any big fluctuating emotions but always seems to be expressionless (kind of does not fit her occupation as an actress either). Sure there is some comedy when we read some comments from her POV but because of her lack of outward emotions, there is a slight feeling of dissonance. Plus I feel like every other character had more feelings than she did. I like other cool, handsome female protagonists but this one was almost like an advanced AI robot except for maybe 1 or 2 occasions. Even though we know she has worries and her own feelings but they are never shown outwardly so it feels weird/unnatural somehow. It's hard to connect with an MC who we know has emotions and feelings but on the outside is described as a total expressionless face (or maybe the author just did not do a good job of describing her outward reactions to things).

The MC is not the main part of the problem with this story. I think everything added up made it very lackluster and unsatisfying.

TLDR; it could be much much better.

I hope to read another story with a similar premise/plot but better. C grade for this one. <<less

The novel plots was quite refreshing. It's a Good New Idea! 4.3 star!!

The FL is cool!! Although she goes back in her original 'young 20yrs old-body', As she's goes through 3life (1st-before transmigrated, 2nd-transmiggrated to Cultivation World, 3rd-Back to her original 1st life) time.. Her Personality, IQ & EQ were So Stable, as to count her total of life experiences more than 200 yrs.

She doesn't need to run around "show-off&shout-out" her 'special-abilities' for being a cultivator.

she also doesn't need to be so "buzy-body" & get attached the mortals. All she... more>> need was "to teach people how to fishing, instead of goes herself out fishing for them".

The con here is:

*The last chapter (157) was too rushing.

*The story plots doesn't gv us ups & down emotions and quite bland.

*Few characters (of mortal world) was gone, after few chapters.

*There no continuation.

It is good overall but the ending feels too rushed. I guess the author ran out of ideas or something but the ending is not satisfactory. I wanted to know what would happen after they go back to the original world. Will they apply what they learned while living in mortal world to cultivation. What will happen to the new cultivators being born. It's too rushed not giving the satisfaction of a proper ending.

Fun at the start but it's just lackluster and boring now. I usually like this kind of emotionless MC but that's only because the things they do and the worldbuilding of the story are fun to read. Sadly, this novel just has a plain modern setting and the cultivator stuff doesn't really seem too relevant.
