By far the only ABO universe where omegas are not weaklings and are not treated as breeding machines, instead here, their genders make them the norms and its all about overall ability. There can be fierce omega and weak alpha in this world, this premise is enough of a five star.

The novel is very grounded.

The novel ended at 100 chapters, the rest are extras.

They are still students and till the end of the novel, this wasn't changed. Even if a lot of things happened, they didn't become the "almighty saviours and faced the battle forefront and changed the whole planet" — (Well, they did their part and contributed to the government) but the MC and ML relied on each other and also their elders.

They still needed an elder's help but there's also no denying their wit and perseverance. It... more>> wasn't the "I am the protagonist and therefore everything that I do is right." — It's more realistic and I love this part. There's also: "Omegas are treated normally. They aren't looked fown upon or labelled as the weakest gender."

I like how slow and subtle their romance is and the MC's approach once he realized that he likes the ML is ✨

It's realistic and I also like the way how OP the MC is. It's also quite entertaining since the pairing is: "A slightly weak at physical combat but strong at mental attacks Gong x OP martial artist + immune to all abilities Shou."

Some of the characters weren't explored deeply but there are a lot of memorable people. I sometimes can't help but ship them too. ? The cactus "Cici" is my favorite! ? So cute. Worthy of being the MC's precious plant "child" ? <<less

I gotta say, this was one of the better omegaverse novels I have read up til now. There was no gender discrimination against omegas or whatever because omegas are supposedly only useful for birthing children like in many other novels I have read. In fact, all the genders seem to be treated pretty equally which I like.

Storywise, there was enough drama and suspense as well as a lot of fluff.

Characterwise, there were plenty 3D and likeable characters. The MC seems to have the mental age of a 12-year-old though, or... more>> is at least treated like that by almost everyone around him to the degree that you sometimes forget that he is supposed to be in college. It doesn't help that the ML calls him "child" in the beginning. Or maybe it's just the translation.

Either way, the MC is still likeable enough and whilst a bit naive due to growing up sheltered he has his own head and isn't the dense and clumsy shou type. This, of course, is a plus in my books.

The ML is doting on our MC practically from the beginning to the end. Dude is a huge softy in contrast to his scary reputation. He also cares a lot for his friends. Basically, he is a good guy. Can't complain.

Anyways, this novel is worth the read, bit confusing due to having had to MTL the later half of the novel (like I had to repeatedly ask myself whether they did do the deed or whether he just marked him), but that's just my problem.

Omegaverse enthusisasts should definitely check this novel out. <<less

I tend to steer away from novels set in an omegaverse, as it has a huge tendency to contain strong elements of sexism, discriminatory and non consensual relationship dynamics.

This novel though, from the get go doesn't seem to have this issue. Its very blatant in the how the social political hierarchy is based on the 'ability' of the person and how the the three (total six) genders have stereotypes. Yet the novel remains refreshing because we have main character that don't meet the cliche standards of omega and alpha. The... more>> protagonist omega is physically strong, opinionated with a sense of self and highly intelligent (with a hidden ability to boot). His low EQ, his matter of fact indifference to most things and the subtle naiveness from a sheltered life, off sets his all powerful might. Making the character more endearing.

The alpha ML is a perfect complementary to the omega P. He has an extremely strong ability that makes it hard for him to be close to others yet has a lively and easy going personality towards those close to him. His respect and awe towards his partner while staying true to his shameless and joyful personally makes you really like this character.

This novel certainly kept in mind the age of the two protagonist and the reach of influence they have without exaggeration and making them all powerful, which I personally really appreciated. The way they handled the final conflict and how the adults factored in into the issue maintained believability. I both liked and disliked how they didn't dive much into the socio political issue and how it will progressed after the climax event.

The focus of the story can be sum up as the relationship progression between the protagonist couple. If you want to read something cute and fulfilling in warmth without delving into a political intrigue or ABO dynamic based issues, this is it! <<less

Just because there is no discrimination against Omegas and this story is not about how a strong Alpha saved his weak Omega doesn't mean the story is actually good.

The setting is very good and unusual. Characters are interesting. But the author failed to make use of any of it in an interesting way. In other words: the story is unbelievable boring!

Also, for a story with so many characters (a sports team), apart of MC and ML, others are falling into background.

And the thing that finally made me drop this novel... more>> like it is a hot potato...

After ML confessed MC was not ready to accept his confession. ML said that he is prepared to wait for him to deside. But what does he do? He started to push him. Instead of leaving him to sort out his feelings, he started manipulating him.

Sure, it is not that bad, but this behaviour is still scummy. It's either that or "a sweet unproblematic romance story", you can't have both (unless this behaviour is adressed in the story, but I don't think it will be here). Too bad I wanted to read something nice.

To think of it, the characterisation is not that good. Characters lack depth. They have no motivation, no goal in life. They just... do things. The biggest thing that can be called a "goal" is that competition between schools. The author tries to make this a big event where can be only 2 outcomes: victory or death (and I'm only slightly exaggerating, beleive it or not). But. It's just a competition between schools. Realistically, the stakes are not high. Maybe if they were going to be professional... whatever is that sport... then I'd be more invested, but since 1. No Idea what they want to be, and 2. No consequence of losing were told, I couldn't care less for this competition. <<less

I would rate this 3.7 for world building and side characters. The story was good and should’ve had a great potential but it was somehow boring and tiring. MC is strong and independent O and I would actually enjoy this novel if it had no romance factor for MC, but I support side characters’ romance and stories. I’m not saying MC should be ineligible for a relationship but after MC and ML started having feelings things got repetitive. The first chapter is already interesting and got me wanting for more. The translator is really good at picking up good and interesting novels and has a awesome translation.

I'll be back later after MTLing it (still waiting because it's not in the MTL novel yet) and give my thoughts about it.

So far, this seems like a "common plot" subverting story, like;

Thug: *appears*

ML: "MC! I'll protect yo-"

MC: *done beating up the thugs*

ML: "..." the routine doesnt seems to be right, ah

Pretty amusing but since "common plot" needs to happen first before the story can subvert it, the overall storyline is pretty common (thus 5-star minus 1 for genericness)

Too cute. One of the most riveting boarding school ABO novels around where omegas can be as powerful as the other sexes and alphas have their own weaknesses and vulnerabilities. Realistic.

I can't feel anything from this story. It doesn't give excitement, doesn't give love... Characters are as dry as the Sahara Desert. MC is a perfectly overpowered wall with one quirk of drinking milk tea and the ML is just a classic alpha with zero personality at all. All the aspects of this novel can't be called 2 dimensional because it's reduced to 1.

I can't say the world-building was done with "little effort" because it didn't draw my interest even a little bit. You'll say 15 chapters is too early... more>> to judge but the length of the chapters are longer than usual webnovels so that's not an argument point. I'm only giving 2 stars because of its flowy writing style and there are clearly worse novels than this.

Sooooo good. ML, although he's possessive but he has the limit. And the MC, he is sooooooooo adorable. Friends are also good and the villains also has the reasonable facts to be bad guys. In short, it was a very enjoyable read.

The premise is very interesting and I like how nonchalant the MC and ML are.

But, the characters fall flat for me. The MC is first introduced as somewhat naive, pure but also decisive and liked money. The ML is the typically possessive, crazy yandere type. But, even with those obvious traits, they still feel a bit bland. They aren't expressed thoroughly enough and it feels somehow slow? I'm not sure how to describe it

But, its an okay read.

I love this novel. The CP is really cute. The MC is your typical shy omega except that he's really badass. I tbh wouldn't call him shy but he's like rather confused. Basically he has low EQ Bcz he has grown up with over-protective family. And was really sheltered his whole life.

The ML is so cute. He's gloomy due to his life experiences and his abilities' side effect. But unlike the thing with other novels where the ML is cold at first and then turns sarcastic at the end. The... more>> ML has the same personality and although he has some character growth, he doesn't change into someone else. He's like a proud peac*ck pestering the MC. Just that the MC doesn't mind that. Both the main characters are really nice with flaws and not the typical perfect persona. The MC's flaw would be his low EQ and the ML's his past. The plot is kinda dull. Like not over the top. I liked the no gender discrimination and that everyone didn't assume someone is weak just because of their gender. I liked the competitions and that the MC's team although not weak wasn't OP either. The rebel thing was kinda weird but fine. I don't know.

The side characters were cute and I kinda wish they had more role. But they weren't too much in the background either. I liked both of the side CPs. Again wish that they were talked about more. If you're more of a plot reader then this might not be for you. But if you like romance than this is a must read (in my opinion). <<less

This is interesting but I feel like I would get bored of it after reading for a while. I usually don't like novels with an omega as an MC because they feel so helpless and they have way too many weaknesses. This one doesn't have that problem, instead the MC is way too OP.

Read this a few years ago but never wrote a review so I went back and re-read it as I remember liking it a lot. I have to say, it's not quite as good as I remembered, but it's still a fun story! I definitely noticed a lot more flaws in the writing the second time around though.

The writing is overall pretty simplistic, and the characters don't have too much depth. The main characters follow pretty defined cliches: the OP protagonist who's hiding his true power, and the OP ML... more>> who's cold and has a terrifying ability but is actually just a traumatized softie. Slight warning that their romance does also end up a bit overly manipulative on ML's side, as he ends up being the pursuer and doesn't take no for an answer.

There are also a few plot holes, namely how at the beginning of the novel, despite entering the academy wanting to keep a low profile, Yi Jiamu basically immediately exposes his ability by taking the unofficial challenge on entrance day to withstand Gu Yesheng's ability for money. No one seems to question how he's able to do this though, and the plot just moves on like nothing happened.

It's a pretty easy read, and though the plot leans more slice of life than action, I didn't find myself getting bored while reading. The side characters also helped with keeping my interest, and I did especially enjoy the class president and his romantic subplot! <<less

3.5 the translation is great and the MC is likeable and interesting in his attitude. But the ML kills me. I realized he is a large cliche. I had to dnf after the very obvious cliche shower scene bc of absolute cringe. For me, I cannot stand this. If you have high reactions to cringy cliches, I would tread lightly in here.

If I'm being really honest, this book lacks an edge to it. It's quite slice of life and despite being about abilities, I think there's nothing refreshing or deep... more>> about this. It's slightly boring tbh. If you've read a similar concept of the "null" mc/power academies, then you're not gonna find much here. Most of the characters feel like they're supposed to be 3d, but the writing never takes you all the way there imo. The writing just needed to be pushed a bit more. Unfortunately. Probably better than other abo novels but in standard abilities/romance/bl, ehhhh I've read better. <<less

It was particularly hard to read the scenes where the ML started doing things to manipulate and seduce MC because it was very clear that the MC was still thinking about ML's confession and hasn't reached a conclusion yet. The only respite was when MC goes against ML's expectations and replies objectively and decisively.

Not the omegaverse I initially wanted to read since I'm not into interstellar but ended up loving this a lot!!!!! Ahhh one of the best ABO I've read.

The setting of this novel is really great and the safest universe for every omega. There's no discrimination and everyone is equal. Whether alpha, beta or omega can be either strong or weak, there's no big gap. AA and OO pairings are even very welcome. R*pe doesn't even exist here cuz they know consent and omegas are not just submissive towards alpha pheromones,... more>> they can protect themselves.

I really love MC and ML. They complement each other a lot. There's no touch of toxicity and even if ML is really shameless, he knows his limit and never force MC if he doesn't like it. Even the marking is initiated by MC. Also even tho ML have a shitty family; MC's family are still sour, they still treat ML well and helped him a lot. It's just so lovely.

Super duper highly recommended. MUST READ! Full of fluff that'll make your heart stuffy but not nauseous from the dog foods. <<less
