This novel went above and beyond my expectations. I originally came in expecting a light fluffy white lotus MC x big bad wolf ML romance focused novel, unexpectedly I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and character/relationship development. Blew it completely out of the park that I finished reading and really couldn't find anything I'm dissatisfied with here. I love it!

I wasn't holding much hope and was thinking it was going to be very straight forward, but unexpectedly there's a layer of world building and plot here that while isn't as... more>> complicated or twisty turny as other novels, fits really really well in this novel and completely made sense. It's really wasn't unnecessary nor was it trying to be something so high that it wasn't supposed to be, it was very well founded and made sense for this story.

I highly recommend giving it a read if youre looking for a good time, the relationship itself is very nice and their dynamic is what I thoroughly enjoyed in the novel as well. The ML isn't all mighty and has no problem playing coettish with the omega MC. I find this pair very relaxing and enjoyable to read, I feel like they're very equal and brings each other alot of happiness - even without their special constitution that fits each other. <<less

Overall a good read.

Normally I greatly like this type of role reversal, super OP!omega protecting OP!alpha, but something about the plot fell short. The author would introduce a lot of potential ideas and never carry through on any of it.

At times, it seemed like the novel was building up to something a lot more interesting and complex (the mystery of the hijacked mechas) and the conflict between the engineers and the ability users, but ultimately, it ended up as an extremely fluffy, lighthearted, college romance X esports novel.

A lot of... more>> things were skipped/dropped at the extremely fast resolution of the plot:

I think the novel as a whole lacked any kind of climax or hurdle for the main couple to go through. The MC (and MC's family) were pretty much the most OP person on the entire planet and basically never got a scratch on him (lasers, explosions, etc. Galore).

The stars from me are from the role reversal and the first half of the book. This ABO world doesn't look down on omegas (thankfully) nor AA/OO pairings (yay), but there are still some background gender stereotypes present. (If omegas were the same as alphas, nobody would be posting on the school board about the MC as a 'shockingly' strong omega.)

If you're looking for a fluffy college romance centered around esports/abilities, this is the one for you. <<less

The story is funny and light-hearted. But everything is predictable so will probably drop.

The MC is funny and is OP. It's funny when he goes against the ML's expectations, however, sometimes, being an air head is a little annoying, ie when he is being played by the ML (even though it's a lie, he agrees with the ML and eventually blushes) ? Also, I dislike when the MC got angry when the ML was defeated against a mental power opponent. MC didn't even think when the ML attacked his classmates/opponents... more>> mentally, those people also suffered mentally. Although the ML got affected of backlash from his power, it was not as great from the damage of the opponent. The MC have a double standard ?

But I like how MC is lying-low. For credits, he ignores them and he just does things that he wants. the ML is physically weak normal but has high mental power.

I like this since O are treated equally as A/B. Good to read but I eventually got bored and disappointed because of several plot holes. <<less

I absolutely love this story to death!! The characters are all cute (especially the main couple) !! The MC is very naive but he's strong enough to afford to be that naive. The author's notes are also so relatable, it feels so much more like a reader's comment.

Also!! We not only get to see people shipping a popular ship, we also get to see people shipping a rare ship!!! (And finding it so hard to find another shipper of the same couple hahas)

The pacing of the story is extremely... more>> good too, it was so hard to put down the story for breaks. It just never seemed to slow down (even when it was a calm period) and I just wanted to keep reading on.

I feel like it ended too soon, really. I wanted to see more of the couple but the story does end at a very good ending point, everything was resolved. The ending was super sweet too.

The extra is of the side couple that the author mentioned in an author's note~ <<less

This was a very cute, fun read.

Setting is interstellar Omegaverse where a portion of the population have special abilities. MC is omega that’s immune to all abilities and follows his relationship with an alpha that has mental/psychological powers.

MC is cute and a little Gary Stu lol. His ability is a major cheat and pretty much makes most conflicts seem useless since he’s gonna win anyway. ML does not receive such privileges, author loves to torture him.

I really like the ML. He’s different from the usual unfeeling iceberg you get in a lot of Chinese BL. He’s shameless, flirty and flashy. He’s says sh*t just to stir trouble. At the same time, he’s very doting on MC. His confession scene was very sweet and sincere despite him generally being a bit of a jokester.

He has friends and hobbies (shocking, but most MLs don’t lol).

It’s also a very consensual ABO novel. Even during the heat/susceptible period, MC and ML are very respectful of each other’s boundaries and always ask for consent. Like, not even a dubious consent scene in sight.

It’s actually a pretty chill Omegaverse setting. They participate in a sporting team and it’s a fairly even spread of sexes (though there’s only one girl on their team, it’s still BL after-all 🙄 lol). Omegas and Alphas are pretty casual with each other, like normal classmates.

The plot was pretty good though and the pacing wasn’t bad. Though I did guess the main plot twist pretty much right off the bat. I think most people probably will guess as well.

Like, c’mon, you introduce this mentor character for the ML. ML looks up to him a lot. And then MCs brother remarks how it’s clear that ML had to be basically tortured to get to this point with his powers? Even if it’s said that it’s for MLs “own good”, he’s still very young. That immediately made me think “oh, he’s definitely a villain”.

And then they started talking about how there was this terrorist organization and the mentor was one of the main people investigating it. I was like, “So, he’s totally like lead terrorist or something and planning to stimulate MLs kind of vicious powers for some nefarious purposes”.

REJOICE! An omegaverse novel where omegas have strengths and backbone, and it isn't because of a protagonist halo--it's normalized. While there are still differences between an alpha and omega, it isn't a repressive society. Instead, it takes a back seat to the real story.

This story had the potential to get super dark and full of intrigue, bit the author kept it pretty light instead. A good relaxing read, not too much anxiety, a nice way to pass the time while still investing in a plot. Don't expect anything groundbreaking, but... more>> I see myself revisiting this story once in a while for the little surprises. <<less

I hate the ML in this. He's so annoying, constantly chasing and bothering the MC. How the hell is that romantic??

I'm also not a fan of how the roommate suddenly starts assuming the MC and ML are in a relationship just because the ML walked the MC back to his dorms.

The MC is a naive idiot who supposedly wants to avoid trouble but can't see the long-term impacts of his choices to ignore certain actions.

2 stars since the TL is good and easy to understand.

I didn't expect to get as into this story as I did. The plot is very strong and comprehensive, the subplot is funny and interesting, and the characters are likeable.

My favorite abo stories are ones with powerful and independently effective O, and this is no exception. It's also always nice to have a prideful and cold ML who is an absolute wife guy, enthusiastic about pursuit and constantly asking for consent.

The summary really doesn't deliver justice to this novel, it makes it seem much more shallow and less involved than... more>> it truly is. No filler here, pacing is perfect and it all comes together very smoothly.

The MC and ML are both rich from powerful families but this doesn't affect who they are, so it isn't too dazzling. Their personalities would be the same regardless of background, and the resources they have access to are only important to the plot, rather than being the type of indulgently super-wealthy we see in president or entertainment circle novels.

I would say that after careful deliberation, the descriptor for ML of "yandere" is probably accurate, with the amused caveat that he is deredere just to the MC but wasn't utterly unlikable towards others.

Cici is the best character. <<less

Super cute, a really good plot that I actually didn't see coming which is super duper rare for BL/Danmei in my experience.

Every word in the thesaurus under adorable? That's what this is.

I'd give a 4.5 if I could, but I can't bear to give it a flat 4 sooooo.... 5 stars it is! (God I clearly am biased recently)

BTW- I love love love the ML. He hits allllllll my check boxes lol.

I love calm and powerful mcs, especially with the MC being an omega, which are usually portrayed as soft and more like damsels in distress. While Mumu is still a soft looking O, he's pretty much like an alpha in terms of abilities. He can pretty much wipe the floor with anyone (including the ML lol, and he'd probably be happy about it too). The ML, while still being the showoff and can be a tad domineering, isn't actually bad (at compared to other shitastic MLs out there). It was... more>> also incredibly hilarious how he tells everyone that can listen when he and the MC finally started dating (to the annoyance of all the single dogs lol). He really loves the MC too, and vice versa.

Ah! Ah! If you want to read a dominating MC / show then this is it! Mumu (MC) is so strong and tough that even if he doesn't have the ability, he will definitely be on top. Uh, actually I wanted to see more of their trip but unfortunately it stopped until the engagement, why ?!

I am totally in love with the omega (MC) and the alpha (ML). They are so funny, so sweet, so perfect. The romance between them is so good.

If you are like me, you love interstellar novels and also love omegaverses, read it!

It's a little difficult to rate this because I don't really know how to feel about this novel. We have the overpowered MC in a world where abilities reign supreme, the seemingly overpowered (but not really) ML, somewhat arbitrary terrorist organization, family conflict, school drama, and intergalactic competition all mixed together in a way that isn't very well laid out. I guess there was just too much going on and nothing really stood out.

The romance was there, but it wasn't strong. Most of it is just MC being omegablivious. Even... more>> when they finally did the deed, it just seemed like MC acquiesced because he wanted to save ML, not because he really wanted to.

Additionally, the pacing in this novel is all over the place. Some parts are emphasized while others are rushed seemly at random. This leads to rather awkward structure and generalized confusion.

Like in the last few chapters when ML gets captured, I still have no idea what happened. Some indescribable confusion happened and he got rescued/rescued himself I guess?

Cliche with a little bit of cringe. Maybe if I read this when I was in my teens, I've probably loved this. It's cute, yes. but it feels so dull/common. other than the main couple, the other characters didn't give much impression to me. The side couple is so cute. I wish there's more chapter to the side story. still love it, though. bring back... more>> memories 💜

Overall, It's an okay read. but I know we have different preferences, so I definitely recommend this to you. it's all about fluff... well... maybe not all but for me it is. just ignore this review of mine and have fun reading~ (๑>◡<๑) <<less

This was a solid read, and all loose ends were tied up. This novel has 103 chapters, but I read it in a day, and I could’ve kept reading. I appreciate the multiple POVs and the harmony of each character, Mainly MC and ML. The MC (Omega) is stronger than the ML (Alpha), but that didn’t detract from him being a powerful Alpha. In fact, the Alpha embraces his Omega’s strength and is very proud of him and not afraid to let the others know. I love how they... more>> love, respect, and protect each other.

I recommend giving this a read. It’s refreshing and there’s like 2 chapters of mild smut. <<less

Very short even though with 100 chapters. Took me only 5 hours.

Relatively simple plot line, mostly converge on MLs ability.

MC omega op I support that, some hot NSFW moments.

ML just like a leech that won't let go of MC and MC just gave in. I am not really impressed by it. Felt like cabbage fed to a pig. Felt like MC pity ML so he just accepted it.

No other characters matter besides MCs awesome family

An interesting story with a shocking setting. I have never read an Omegaverse like this. I loved the dynamic of the main ship. Even if they fit some of the stereotypes, they are not your usual alpha and omega.

The MC is OP. He has a strong ability, and he knows martial arts. His mentality and thought process are also amazing. He looks beautiful, but he is lethal. His personality is sweet and caring when he's not protecting someone or being threatened though. The ML is your usual dangerous alpha, with... more>> a deadly ability that everyone is scared of. Although, he doesn't look like a manly alpha nor does he acts like one. I joked with a friend that he has a 'baby girl' aura 😂. He is the one acting spoiled most of the time.

I like how the relationship developed gradually, and there was CONSENT!! The usual heat scene happened twice, and the alpha was respectful and didn't take advantage of this.

The book is not perfect, and I would have liked a better world-building. Some things were not explained, and I was disappointed. That doesn't mean there is no world-building. The society that the author created was mind-blowing, I just wanted a more detailed explanation for some themes. <<less

* MC's strength- I love how he’s so overpowered, it’s great how he’s physically stronger than ML even though he’s an omega. His character is also unique.

cons:

* The ending was rushed

* I like the light and comedic tone, but it feels like it limited the potential of the novel
