I wasn't expecting much after the poor intro at the start, but honestly, this novel is prob the first smut novel I've read that is actually genuinely good.

TLDR: I'd say it took me three or four chaps before I was really invested, while I'd say the first chap was kinda a flop. This novel is a proper action adventure fantasy with some surprisingly actual good smut/harem. Note that I don't think this is actually 5 stars though, the rating was just so low (2. Something) that I had to bump it, as I think the novel is still good, at least to where I read

Usually these novels seem to be pure wish fulfillment writing by the author, with zero to little plot development, poor writing, or flat characters; but this novel has actual plot, the smut content feels natural, and the main cast characters and side chars have depth. That is to come with all the typical things one would expect and wish from an action, adventure, fantasy novel: the literal genre tags, the world building, and antagonists. All so far have been well written.

The main character has a lot of development and depth. The comedy when you come across it are actually a bit funny, like his hate on the goddess. However, he also has sole negative traits, as he's part bastard, hooking up with girls behind his parties back as he pretends to be good when he isn't as pure as they think he is

His harem cast has a lot more depth than 90% of harem novels. I'd say their development is a bit weak, hence making it more 2d, but unlike other 2d chars, these ones actually have a lot more depth and interactions. Basically you can expect them to act a certain way, such as the Regressor girl being a very trusty, powerful, gullible, determined, and kind person. There hasn't really been development of those characters so far, but what I'm saying is they aren't flat. His one night stands on the other hand, though make complete sense and has plot development for, these one time use chars are pretty flat if you don't count the smut content.

With that part out of the way, for the actual story, the main character is a Korean man that got isekaid one day randomly into a somewhat cruel grim medieval-fantasy world. He got no introduction/tutorial and was thrusted in this world. He barely made ends meet by begging, luckily getting a old used sword, and slowly became an adventure to get some income. He had an appraisal skill, but it felt prettt useless. But even with him becoming a low class adventurer, he became starved due to how weak he was, and one day some bandits got some easy pickings due to him having no strength for him to resist, making him their prisoner.

The story starts from there. The Regressor, who has zero relations with the main character, as it can be referenced he probably died in the bandit camp, comes to their rescue to save her old comrade before she got r*ped for years and sold as a s*ave. The girl who the MC slept with.

As a novel that honestly focuses on the MC like most smut / harem novels, the antagonists and mini plots could be said to not be the most satisfying. Though still good, they aren't amazing compared to novels like Surviving the Game as a Barbarian, which is prob my favorite novel to date due to the amazing plot and character developments.

And hence as they are just good, but not overachieving amazing, I wouldn't say this qualifies as a 5 star, especially as this is a harem novel. Meaning it will likely self implode the farther I read in, as I've only read 25 chaps so far, which is honestly pretty good it hasn't imploded yet. But the rating is currently so low, 3.4, and I'm the only actual current reviewer. So I'll give this a 5 star for now.

I almost thought I was reading a Chinese novel with how misogynistic the novel is. The author sounds like the kind of guy who sits in the pregnant women seats on the train.
