Infuriating.

The most infuriating are the truly evil side characters. And I do mean evil. They have zero qualms setting the FL on fire to keep themselves warm, when they had many, many non-harmful options to chose instead, and were actually quite hot and didn't need warming up at all, or turning ML into a lacky who s*aves away earning money for them in exchange for emotional scraps.

FL and ML are two extremely effed up, very ab*sed people in need of significant therapy who wind up together and cannot communicate on... more>> even the simplest of things. And both refuse to ask. 75% of the problems not cause by the sociopathic side characters would disappear if they would just flipping ask, instead of skulking around, spying on each other and making assumptions. "Why are you so terrified of my parents?" "Are we actually flat broke?" "What do you do with all the presents I send you?" "Do you hate me?" Y'know, important stuff.

The rest would be resolved by paying attention to each other while they spend time together, but the husband's particular traumas make him so exceedingly bad at reading people, and the wife's make her terrified of ever complaining, so it's like watching amputees trying to run a 5k without prosthetics.

Switching bodies helps the oblivious lug of a husband FINALLY get some things, and gives the wife some much needed respite, but they both always seem to just miss the incidents that would explain everything.

For example, he misses out on her getting locked in a closet by his parents and threatened by her brother.

Or he goes to a party as her but, rather than the normal party behavior of them actively mocking her, which they usually do, he only experiences no one talking to him/ his wife for an hour. He never socializes outside of business, so he doesn't know this is weird, and concludes she doesn't have friends, rather than she's being actively ostracized and bullied.

You'll want to rip your hair out. And wrap the two in cotton wool and tell everyone else in the story to f*** off and die, and never speak to them again. But, read it if you like trainwrecks, and rubber neck when you pass traffic accidents. It's the same sort of enthralling. <<less

Hey! Noticed there weren't any reviews for this potentially amazing novel, so I'm just gonna put this out here.

There's only 3 chapters but those 3 chapters are damn good. This is a bit different from every other KR shoujo novel out there, but that just makes it all the more interesting for me. I'm mostly curious about how the main characters would do in their situation.

Might be a little early to judge, but I'm gonna go with my gut instinct that's screaming at me that this is a good novel... more>> and I should invest in it. <<less

Really loving this so far, I'm such a sucker for this kind of plot device, tho the current use of major misundertandings that could easily be resolved through I don't know maybe talking a little really is getting on my nerves I would actually prefer it if there was real grudge that could be developed into something else, still this is still interesting.

I'm really hoping for the drama coming later when winter finds out the way his wife's been treated so far, and also a mayor apology coming from him... more>> to her cuz man you should pay more attention to your wife.

It's still too soon to tell if it will be good, tho it has a lot of potential, hopefully there will be revenge, good scheaming and more funny moment while creating more misunderstandings but the good kind you know, the kind that make good drama, after all they are already married Romance although appreciated won't cut it for me so drama it's my aim.

i want blood, I want tears and a f*cking happy ending <<less

A pair of emotionally stunted people swap bodies due to magic and have a slightly better understanding of eachother over 240 chapters.

I found the husband more pitiable than the wife by far what with the being abandoned as a child and ens*aved multiple times thats just brushed over in favor of the wife's depression/su*cide.

It has a Manga adaptation too now.

I know it's still too early to judge but, I need to give support to this story so the translator could upload faster :P.

So far it's a good read with characters that easy to understand. ML with his crude attitude, MC with her rigid but smart. When they switch body it actually help each other out but in the end they're too dense mostly attributed to how different their background or how they were raised.

My only hope was this got updated more often.

I hope they get talking soon. And I hope those b*tches get the hell they deserve. I wonder what his reaction and actions will be after knowing that Violet, his wife, has been suffering ab*se from the 'kind family' he entrusted her with? The f*cking mother gaslighted the FL and is so eager to ab*se her. They truly deserve a life of hell. I don't want them to die without suffering first.

This novel has really good potential and interesting plot. It started off great and very easy to understand. The translation is good, I have no problems with it. I just wish it's updated more regularly rather than once/twice a month, and I hope it won't get dropped.

I REALLY LOVE THIS

Yes it's super irritating because PLEASE JUST LET THEM TALK but at the same type it's not just s*upid unnecessary misunderstandings because there's a reason these things are happening and it points to a much larger mental problem

This isn't a fluffy romance, but a story filled with angst, hate and grief. Your heart will break for the female lead and burn in fervent anger for her husband.

But then you will come to love them both in the end.

They will grow and learn, and will come to learn to love each other openly and freely. Will handle each other's emotional trauma and baggages that strengthen their relationship.

This is a good read. A story about healing and forgiveness and striving to understand the emotional turmoils that other people go... more>> through, especially those you love.

I won't give out spoilers, but I hope you give this story a chance, and it will surely help you understand just how sincere love can change a person for the better. <<less

Love the plot, the characters, the drama and the settings so far.

I'm a sucker for this angsty type of story and the first 8 chapters hook me right off the bat so Imma give this 4/5 stars for now (might change it, depends on the flow of the story).

Up until Violet leaves Winter, the novel does a good job portraying their traumas and how they affected each other. However, after she leaves him, Winter regrets his actions deeply and continues to suffer for three years, unable to overcome his trauma. Meanwhile, Violet manages to heal, learning to love herself and others.

This is where I find a major flaw in the novel. I understand that both leads had terrible parents, but while Violet grows and learns to accept people, Winter is left to suffer, regret, and even attempt su*cide.... more>> This is understandable to some extent, but doesn’t he have people who care about him and advise him on life? Instead, the people who are worried about him go to Violet—who is gradually healing—to express their concerns about Winter.

This is what frustrates me. Instead of shifting Winter’s struggles onto Violet, the novel could have shown both characters dealing with their regrets separately—struggling to accept their flaws and growing as individuals. If, after years of personal growth, they still loved each other and couldn’t forget one another, they could have met again as new people and fallen in love once more. If the story had unfolded this way, I would have gladly read it. Instead, Winter’s suffering is forced into Violet’s narrative.

Another issue I have is the lack of well-developed side characters. The supporting cast either remains stagnant or exists solely as friends to the main leads without undergoing meaningful character growth. This makes the story feel unbalanced and unrealistic.

Lastly, there’s a red flag in how Violet’s departure is framed. The novel emphasizes that she loves Winter so much that she leaves him for his own good. This reasoning feels wrong. A more realistic and emotionally mature perspective would be: "I love him, but I have completely lost myself. I don’t know who I am anymore. I need to find myself—not just for his well-being, but for my own as well." <<less

I wanted to read the novel because the manhwa was taking so long. I cried at the first half of the chapters because you can really feel how Violet was really depressed within her marriage and how neglectful her husband is but as I read further more, Winter still and does pisses me off that I feel like dropping this. Violet's overflowing kindness is wasted on a man like him. I'm sorry to say this but this is a toxic relationship.

He tried to kill himself twice as of the 90ish chapters and this made Violet waver on her decision to divorce especially on the 2nd try. He knows that Violet would blame herself and he knows that so he uses it to his advantage to shackle her to postpone the divorce. And in here it was said that he still doesn't believe Violet when she said he was her 1st love. This part pisses me off because Violet was the first one to apologise to him saying it was her fault for making him angry cus she told him that his parents doesn't love him and that lead to him wanting to commit su*cide by plane crash. Like wtf it's the truth but this manchild denies it and starts lashing at everyone especially at her. And the most saddest part for me was Violet giving up her wish to divorce by postponing it and giving all the authority to Winter if he solely wishes to divorce and apologises to him for bringing up the topic about his parents. This is straight up toxic and is maddening cuz I know what it feels like to be in a relationship where u want to leave but ur partner would say he would kill himself if u leave. U straight up panic and then would fully submit to him and appease him just so he won't kill himself.

In the 90ish chapter he said he still doesn't fully trust her cus of her conservatism. You can tell he DOESN'T LOVE her (yet as of this ch) but only wants her to stay because he has abandonment issues and has inferiority complex.

Winter having the audacity to get angry when she ran away from him for a year cannot be compared to the neglect and ab*se she endured for fudgin 3 YEARS! And it's so sad that Violet still loves him and Winter doesn't respect her decisions. Oh and even readers would just say "cus of his past traumas" that doesn't give the excuse to ab*se Violet mentally and emotionally. <<less
