ML rejected the annulment since she was very firm she wanted the money and he only ows 3 spirit stone (the FL meet him 3 years before that she should had in the original book), he would rather get married at some unspecified point in the future than pay 100k spirit stones lol

FL transmigrated to a cultivation world and the body she is transmigrated into is poor af. Lol Then, she met the ML and they started living together and get to know each other. They started poor but slowly get better.

ML is the type that don't think of love but cultivation of tao and to pay off his master's debt lol and he is the one who falls in love first.

FL is the independent type with the mentality of first richness then love.😂 She falls in love later with the ML cause of his perfect planning and seduction.

Their daily life of cultivating immortals is quite enjoying to read. There are some connon fodders and supporting characters but the main focus of the story is the ML's and FL's daily life and their power upgrade and ofc their increase savings.

Their slow burn romance is so sweet to read and the vague snu-snu parts near the end is also satisfying enough.

has this demon stone in his body? And it's needed to resurrect the demon king. Anyway, that part of the story was meh and it let down the ending of the story a lot.

after ML has confessed and MC asks him to prove himself. He is close to her and when she turns around, her mouth accidentally touches his chin, like a kiss. She gets embarrassed and apologies saying it was an accident and she didn't mean it. Our ML, who has been the soul of restraint so far, loses it because he thinks she is so cute, kisses her nose and says, I did that on purpose.

Is it really necessary to get angry when ML does his personal side jobs without telling her?

To make you understand, the ML has a lot of debts from his master + a new one from the FL. He has no obligation to report to her how he does his money since he promised he would pay her in 3 years.

But FL, for some reason, feels entitled to know every single way through which he makes money and then wants to split up.

Sometimes she is so greedy she hides certain things from him, wanting them only for herself. (Though in the end, they splint, but still... it feels off for me to be THAT greedy)

Sometimes, she only talks to him with the money in mind, not regarding him as a person with feelings as a whole. She's simply infuriating even more when ML finds a treasure chance and she throws a tantrum wanting it too...

Of course, the ML is money-driven, too, but he somehow gains more sympathy as a character. He had been in debt his whole life - and even though he could simply refuse to help his master, he pays them out of duty since his master saved him when he was little.

The author maybe wanted to make that funny dynamic with a greedy materialistic FL, but they stretched it too much. It's chapter 51 for me right now and FL still stays flat? Maybe that's why I started to dislike her, she had no character development whatsoever. 🫡

Sorry, but I feel the ML is too good for her. 😭

The male lead's background with the demon lord wasn't that bad, even if it was a bit cliché. In a way this was the premise of the story, so it isn't something I want to complain about.

But I want to comment a few things about how it was handled by the author.

The ML had a Demon Stone in his body with the remains of the Ancient Demon Lord, so there was always the risk of him becoming the demon lord's vessel.

It felt like the story kept bringing this up, and this made you, the reader, more expectant of someting BIG to happen.

But, in the end, this plot was barely used it, ONLY in the last arc.

I was hoping for more—like waiting for a balloon to pop, for the ML to show some more things about this strange stone and be like wow wow wow,.... but the balloon unfortunately deflate instead. The stone was barely bought up and when it did, I didn't have that satisfaction.

The male lead spent most of the story doing things to win over the female lead, but she didn't really do much for him in return. She accepted him in the end, but I was hoping she'd be more mature and actually put in some effort for him too.

Example

The male lead gave her so many things—he even made talisman brushes and crafted her sword. Gave her fruits, money, payed the sect leader to oversee the competition she was in to make sure she was safe etc.

I know this was for the ML... to make him look like the spoiling type who adores his love.

But it just felt really one-sided. The FL barely did something besides looking pretty, storming over in his business, picking fights etc.

When the ML confessed, she was hesitating because of MONEY. Girl... I know you love money, but it just dismisses ML efforts and it feels as if she took everything for granted.

The intimate scenes were alright, though in my opinion felt a bit rushed? In a way, all the plot towards the end was rushed so it's no surprise.
