I started reading this book because I thought the cross gender transmigration of a OP sword master to a fat girl sounded refreshing. I was really looking forward to the Mc’s life as a singer as he is in a singer’s body but unfortunately he loses the ability to sing once his soul enters the body. He also is hostile towards the original owner of the fat body as she was undisciplined to losing the pig body in her year’s career as a singer. At first I tried to ignore... more>> this hatred towards fat people but as the book progresses it becomes clear that lookism is a theme to the novel. For the talent show he exercises and loses the weight however I no longer held interest towards this novel the moment he decides to sword dance with a fragrance to become the focus of attention. The cruelty of people calling his body a fat pig and a wannabe was a norm and the MC has a twisted set of views want to physically beat the people who made fun of his body while having a personal hostility and disgust towards his own body. It’s light read material, his personality translates as a tomboy in his new body. I wasn’t my cup of tea. <<less

The entire premise is fat shaming. There is no sympathy for how hard it is or that there are also genetic disorders that make weight loss impossible for some people. Even the MC fat shakes the original owner. PIG. They even have the MC have sight loss be their best ability on national television and have them lose weight in a completely inappropriate and dangerous way. You cannot live on just chicken & over exercise to the point of 14kg per week. Then the violence and anger issues. They depiction... more>> of women as obsessed with their breasts, showering together and feeling each other every minute... wth? Basically it’s a pubescent otaku boy’s wet dream. Not much could save this for me. It just has a very unpleasant feeling it starts to coat you with. Hard to explain, but I wish I hadn’t wasted my time with this one. <<less

It's a very weird book, somewhat rushed and no actual plot or anything suspenseful. Still it was pretty chill read and gave me only positive vibes. Don't think of this as an actual story that you would invest a lot of feelings in, rather think of it as sort of "bathroom reading" or something to browse through while sitting idle in a plane or a train.

If you would rate it as a book and have great expectations it would be utter failure. However if you would just think of it... more>> as a casual entertainment then it has huge value.

To me it felt like the whole book was the author was experimenting with the characters and how to make them feel things, maybe for another story? Who knows. One example I could think of: MC struggling with his identity felt very real at the beginning but soon took a great comedic spin and felt nowhere near serious anymore- just things like this all around. Then when the time came to stop the author just pretty much came up with random BS and ended the book on a positive note.

Maybe I'm thinking too deep here, who knows. I rather liked this book anyway- one afternoon well spent reading this. 4/5 <<less

Honestly, this work is a mess.

the premise is honestly interesting, and the start of the work was relatively good. I have seen some reviews talking about fat shaming... and I can see it. But on the contrary, this is a peak martial artist getting reincarnated into a body nearly twice their natural weight, so it makes sense.

the plot itself has some interesting events that make you want to keep reading... but thats where most of the good points end.

my biggest issue with this work is that the MC is inconsistent.... more>> Incredibly inconsistent. She starts out with a ‘cool older sister’ vibe. But that is the dropped at any time when the MC does anything where a camera is involved and she becomes some pitiful thing. Apart from when she doesn’t. And then when she is off camera she is cool some of the time. But then she is an as*hole to people she likes (moreso at first). Confused by what I am trying to say? Yeah, thats how I felt reading this.

here is an example. MC goes to a korean military variety show. Is badass and handles like 3x the physical exertion.

the next variety show, a jungle survival show, she struggles to climb a 40ft ladder. And pokes herself in the eye to seem pitiful. Like what?

this practically happens the whole time. One minute she is exhibiting one image, the next another, and in next a new one. Its just too much. The MC retains a core ‘take no nonsense’ attitude, but how she acts at the time determines how she will handle it. Like her ‘fans’ must be getting whiplash thrice what im feeling. And it just sticks out so much in my current chapter, 80 or 90 something.

so if I were to give an objective summary of this work, I would describe it as a work that focuses on the MC (mostly in private) beating up people who wrong them with arrogance or hostility (of which there are a near constant flow in every scene) while she interacts with a plethora of attractive female who she has made no moves on (apart from one who has as of whatever chapter I'm on been forgotten).

so yeah... if the above paragraph interests you, hit this up, otherwise you will likely end up as wound up as I am having to read about a messy MC with a personality as inconsistent as a schizophrenic. <<less
