Corrupted by the incident, most of her magic was rendered useless—leaving her with only an improper and indecent form of tentacle magic.
To evade capture, Nan Yuli abandoned her identity as a magical girl, blending completely into the mundane world of ordinary people.
That is, until one day, her little sister suddenly announced her dream of becoming a magical girl—and, to Nan Yuli’s horror, seemed to be making real progress toward that goal.
At that moment, Nan Yuli panicked.
—Your big brother here is the Magical Court’s number one fugitive! If you become a magical girl, they’re going to dig into my past and expose me! What am I supposed to do?!
—And why, at your age, are you so determined to pursue this career path?
—As someone who’s been through it, let me tell you—it’s not great.
—What? You’re saying you only listen to Sister Mandrake?
—I f**king…
Thanks to her sister’s relentless efforts, Nan Yuli’s true identity was finally exposed.
Cornered by former comrades and old friends, the sly and cunning girl could only put on a weak and helpless expression.
“You… What do you want? D-Don’t touch my tent**les!”

- Did not finish, do not recommend
- Didn't like it for several reasons
- Okay, satisfactory
- Very good read
- This is going on my lifetime favorites
Setting: 4/5- The universe is established pretty well. It's a world with magical girls and monsters that show up and cause disasters. There's a sense of realism in that the magical girl society is tightly pressed for resources and personnel, with gentle touches on themes such as government politics and favoritism. The idea of a corrupting force ruining magical girls throughout their careers isn't anything new though.
- Overall, I wouldn't say it's anything unique, but it was done well 4/5.
Main Characters: 3/5- The main character, Nan Yuli, is a man who somehow earned the right to become a Magical Girl, and is now a veteran Magical Girl by the name of Mandrake that retired from the Magical Girl force several years ago.

- The side characters are okay, with some hints of depth, but the author hasn't really done much with them yet which feels like wasted potential.
- Overall, I like the interactions between

, but the rest of the characters aren't too interesting to me so far, 3/5
Plot/Pacing: 3/5He is slowly getting corrupted which takes form as a secondary personality "Mandrake", the "mother" of the tent**les in his shadow. His interactions with Mandrake as they come to terms with each other are quite fun.
Nan Yuli and Mandrake
- Summary: Nan Yuli is a high ranking Magical Girl that retired as a wanted fugitive by the Magical Girl society due to committing an unforgivable crime during an important mission. He lives his life laying low until one day his sister is endangered by a monster, and he reignites his Magical Girl powers for the first time in a decade - which leads to the darkness lying in his shadows to also reawaken. As Nan Yuli wrestles with this darkness, he reintroduces himself to the Magical Girl society, which has strangely forgotten about him and his fugitive status. We get to get a glimpse into his past and his reasons for committing the crime.
- I think the beginning of the story is okay, with decent set up but I think the story has a few different plot points that fight for priority and end up mudding up the overall story.

- The pacing is okay, nothing felt rushed, the plot felt a bit disjointed, 3/5
Overall Writing: 3/5The idea of his sister wanting to become a Magical Girl, him competing with Mandrake as the dominating personality which randomly turned into him kind of accepting her as a kind of rebellious child, Magical Girl society politics, etc don't read like they were tied together smoothly.
- Nothing notable, I think this kind of ties into my points about the plot, 3/5
Enjoyability Factor: 4/5
