In 1969, Xu Ning, a 13-year-old girl who had transmigrated from the 21st century, found herself in the role of a minor character sent to the countryside with her younger brother as part of the educated youth movement.

Lin Miao, another transmigrated individual from the 21st century, was a social media influencer and the heroine of the book ” The Delicate Wife from the 70s.”

Determined to carve out a peaceful existence, Xu Ning chose to keep her distance from the main characters, focusing instead on earning work points with integrity and patiently awaiting the day the college entrance exams would be reinstated.

It was promising, but it only got worse instead of better. The work has a lot of nonsense.

Spoiler

The stable staff keeps coming into her house and no one sees anything. Xiao Mo only stays with our protagonist all day and no one thinks it's strange. Another thing, the protagonist only fights with women, literally all the educated young women don't like her and all the educated young men side with her

[collapse]

The only good point is the translation.

I have to say that the first reviewer SheMiao must have not read the novel properly.

About Xu Mo, it was explained thrice that it was Grandpa Qi who talked to the village head to have him be with Xu An so as not to hinder the adults working. And the village head agreed. So no fuss about it.

The novel started when MC transmigrated at 13 years old so dont expect early romance, otherwise it would be pe*ophile.

It has a decent start. It is very slice of life, but it is... more>> not like other novels where the author blatantly turned their novels into cookbook, just for the word count.

So I think this novel is so underrated just because the first reviewer did not read the novel properly. And I think that is unfair. <<less

I dont agree with Comrade SheMiao, this novel is a pretty good for me. Don't expect romance so soon, the FL was only 13 years old after all, she was considered as a child by the villagers. It's because her young age, people had more sympathy for her and attracted more jealous gazes from women sides. Women hate beautiful women after all. Lol

For xiao mo, are you full of hatred inside yourself??Even tho he is 'black/sinned/evil' person, he is only under 5 years old. There is paragraph telling the readers... more>> bout why villagers welcome xiao mo although he is a black person. he is 'sinful' but he is innocent child after all, people not that brainless to hate innocent child under 5.

This story needs more attentions! Come read! It's very unfair for such a good story to get low rating like this. The characters have very solid characteristics, and the antagonists gets comeuppance in proper way, not too ruthless but not kind either. Who I like the most is the FL, such a likable person... if I had a friend like her, I would treasure her dearly...

I think even if it didn't have ML, it would be fineee... the FL already put the whole plot on her shoulders alone... no biggie... lol <<less

It's standard for this type of period novel.

The story is basically about our MC who gets transmigrated into a novel. Thankfully MC has some type of warning feeling/dream about something like this happening and prepares in advance. The novel she transmigrates into is a plot of a time traveling transmigrator romance story. MC's actions (and the fact she died before the start of the novel) derail a lot of the plot details -however the novel FL and ML do get together.

The golden finger is explained very thoroughly and MC simply... more>> uses it as a storage space tbh. MC's og world background is actually explained at the start which I thought was rare. The romance between MC and ML is fairly quick and straightforward. The MC is smart and decisive. The novel starts at the farm and then goes to Beijing for school (but only a few scenes of this) and business (second half of the story is basically focused on business). There's a lot of childcare in the later portion. Otherwise, mostly family and interactions with villagers and city folks. Some face slapping. I think what I most enjoy about this story is the quick pace. And not everything is super detailed to the minutia. These two factors may or may not be to other's liking tho. At times the covered content is a bit too surface level superficial or a simple summary. I'd say this novel does fit the slice of life genre tho (sometimes for some novels it's questionable). <<less
