I transmigrated into the body of the Villainous Young Master.

Why am I a fake while everyone else is real?!

The real Young Master wants to oppress me. Even my fiancee wants to break off our engagement.

Bring it on, then!

Just when HuMing was about to beat up the b*tches and s*umbags, the gazes of the girls around him became increasingly strange.

“Didn’t we say only to cooperate?”

“Well, we’re just here for our payment.”

The gentle smiles on the girls’ faces made HuMing weak on his knees.

Poison tester here, or as I refer to myself before crying to sleep, "IHaveTooMuchTimeOnMyHands". This novel is peculiar, in the sense that I like what it does but does not give me the f*cking treat. A good dog deserves its treat d*mn it. Getting to the actual review, without spoiling, our MC is transmigrated (geez, I wonder where you could get that from, maybe the first word in the title?) in this world as the fake young master (... I wont continue with this skit). Basically b*tch slapping the h*es... more>> and young masters that are not himself.

Spoiler

The plot actually goes from decent to interesting. He is trying to find his real family because he himself and another 2 children were swapped after birth and sent to the wrong families. Now, this may sound generic to some, but I believe it to be unique enough to be a standalone.

[collapse]

The action is good enough, nothing amazing, nothing special, just truly good enough. At least from what I remember. That is due to the fact that the MC is a chad skilled in martial arts and assassination. So most of the fights are either short, or mental battles. I would give the action side of this a 3.5/5. Moving to the story, I put a spoiler alert, even though it's not really a spoiler in my opinion, and I would give it a 4/5.

Lastly the characters, romance and Harem aspect. First of all the characters are nice to read. I especially liked the younger sister, who had a nice character development. There is only 1 best girl, however. I won't say who, because if you read this, its rather self-evident. Most characters outside of the cast do their job, forward the plot, but nothing else. They do become unimportant, which is fine. The main cast feels humane and interesting, moreover, there is actual emotion in this novel. You feel emotional when readings parts of it, there is an impact. Which is a significant W.

With the characters and romance out of the way, the last aspect 'Harem' which some people dread. The harem is tastefully done. Think about the fact that this novel is around 400 chapters, and by chapter 200, there are only 2 significant love interests. The first is amazing, the second if good too. That is due to the fact that the first love interest had many arcs of development while the second one started getting screen times at around chapter 150.

Anyways, using my amazing cognitive and analysing skills, I can only see a Harem 3-4 lasses. 4 is already stretching it. More than that, and the plot have taken a nosedive, or the author just cooked really well. Anyways, I ranted too much and my brain is melting from thinking. I'll give this novel 5 stars, because its focus, the characters and relationships are nicely done. Author cooked with this one. Slow start, but be patient, it gets good really fast. No bullsh*t of read at least 100 chapters until it gets good, but do not give up in 5 chapters or so either. <<less

This is NOT a face-slapping novel. I mean, physically, there's quite a lot of face-slapping, lol. But yeah, considering the genre of 'face-slapping', I can't really see any sign of it here. The closest to face-slapping is when the MC was accused of doing some unpleasant, but it was disproved. Well, if you considered such a trope face-slapping, then I have nothing to argue. I mean, that happens quite often in this novel.

Anyhow, if this is not a face-slapping novel, then what could possibly its category? Idk, tbh. But if... more>> I were to describe it, then the plot focus on the tug-of-war between the original MC and our MC. This tug-of-war is about who support who, and also a sprinkle of heroine-stealing trope here and there.

Except that our MC didn't actively do so. Seriously, bro didn't give a single f*ck. For example,
Spoiler

when his fiancee try to call off the engagement, bro just laughed it off and said that he didn't even have any f*ck to begin with to give her (greatly exaggerated).

[collapse]

Words alone cannot describe the personality of our MC, or at least mine are insufficient. But for me, bro actually act like how a calm normal person would, unlike those typical lustful CN MC with sky-high arrogance and will explode at every little thing, although with a little bit of hypocrisy here and there. Additionally, he actally has plans in dealing with the orignal MC, and, unsurprisingly, they worked. Then again, his previous life was hinted to be something quite significant, so y'all can actually expect to see a smart and calm CN MC.

Enough about our MC. First, our heroines. There are only 2 now, at least in the my perspective, and the two actually have some personality, at least for me. They are not the typical villain story heroines that throw themselves onto our MCs just because their behaviors changed significantly, so rest assured. However, there are other sub-heroines (?) that belonged to the said trope, unfortunately, so yeah.

The original MC. Thank god we didn't get an arrogant and lustful one. The original MC is a calculative and manipulative, two-faced type of protagonist. If there is a story that was told from his perspective, then I dare say that it wouldn't be a bad one. And you can't really hate the original MC, lol. Well, maybe because his inner thoughts weren't portrayed, but yeah. However, if you are REALLY INSECURED, then I can't erase the hatred you have for him now, can't I? Considering that
Spoiler

he approached our MC's ex-fiancee (and successfully turn her against him) and the 2 heroines (who told the original MC to f*ck off (greatly exaggerated)).

[collapse]

Anyhow, the novel's generally atmosphere. It's the depresso expresso type of atmosphere. Like 'The Girls Who Traumatized Me Keep Glancing at Me, but Alas, It's Too Late (WN) ' type of atmosphere (if you know, you know). Like, some side characters (?) and sub-heroines (??) think that our MC has given up on life, lol. It may be tear-jerking for some, cringe for others, and funny for anothers. And that's what I like the most about this novel, lol.

Right, the side characters. The usual 'going along the flow' and 'biased' type of side characters. Can't blame 'em though.

Welp, that's about it. Take my review, along with others, with a grain of salt. We maybe be biased against certain thing, so yeah. Try reading the first 20s or so chapters before forming an opinion, lol.

And I should really change my username to TheYapper or sth... <<less

I didn't had much expectations with this novel... But it turned out to be quite better than I expected, the beginning is a bit slow and the past life of our MC is still a mystery but author reveals subtle plots as story goes on, in short this story has a bit of family drama with a scheming antagonist and our protagonist like ayanokoji is well versed both in physical and mental realm, but he still has the emotional side to him.

Conclusion, it's actually quite good !! Try giving this... more>> a read if you like a bit of family drama and also our MC proving others wrong, it was quite interesting for me... <<less

Transmigrated MC vs Two-Face Novel "Protagonist".

Protagonist wants to drive MC out and MC is doing his best to change the plotline.

Romance is very slow burn, but is cute when it gets there.

The characters are great and likable.

Spoiler

MC has a mysterious past before transmigration, which is slowly revealed through flashbacks. He's an anti-hero; willing to do "bad" to take care of the problem.

The "protagonist" is the antagonist to the readers. He's a two face manipulator and is willing to use people to achieve his goals. He is swapped at birth with MC and wants to remove MC from his new life.

Class President is our slow burn female lead for MC. She's righteous and outstanding. Slowly watching these two develop and go through events are great. She's most likely to win MC's heart.

Li Yue is probably my favorite character in the novel. She is MC's fiancee, but her character development is the most drastic. She is a soft spoken and has a face birthmark. She could have easily been MC's female lead, but author took another route with her. It's hard to hate her, as her actions are reasonable. She fell out of "love" with MC because MC is just a cold person. So the villain came and win her over and helped her gain confidence in herself. However, the author is foreshadowing a bad ending for her. Yes, she did leave MC, but MC wasn't really trying hard to save her. Just a simple warning to stay awhile from Villain, but she failed to do so.

Father and Mother are well done too. Usually a novel would group them on the same side, but they're actually on different sides. Mother is completely on Villain's side; trying to make out for lost time with her son and neglecting MC. Father is won over by MC's recent changes (transmigration) and tries to be a neutral party.

Sister is decent character. The opposite of Mother. Where Mother went from loving MC to 180 to Villain. Sister went from liking Villain to liking MC. She always had a bad relationship with MC, but with his "changes", she evens up feeling guilty and aims to rekindle their sibling bond. For some reason, she and Villain don't interact much anymore.

Maid is great too. Another contender for winning MC's heart. She is a beggar turn maid and loyal to MC. They have a good chemistry, but Class President is currently in the lead.

Extremely childish story with characters and plot that make little sense. Had to stop reading when the MC was forced into playing soccer vs the antagonist. The underage MC randomly is some combat expert and can fight 1v10 versus grown men and the author can't figure out if the MC has the knowledge of the original body's memories or not. There's always hidden character information that gets introduced like the original bodies habit of visiting and sponsoring an orphanage, or having a personal maid.

Extremely chuunibyou MC, cliched tropes like the... more>> MC and a female lead tripping and inadvertently making physical contact, low IQ characters that are just introduced to be face slapped or force dumb plots. An example being his biological mother pushes the MC onto the path of a knife in front of an entire crowd and the only person who saw it was the female lead. Then there being no follow up or resolution to an adult intentionally trying to mu*der a child in front of an audience. Dumb novel. <<less

If you are looking to get your blood pumped, read this novel. Also for those who want to feel some deep loneliness. Quite a good drama. I have only three words to express for this novel.

Amazing as duck!!!

Btw I feel frustrated by the fact that I have kept on suspense. Felt like cursing but well, calmed myself down and wrote this review.

Amazing work.

Kind reminder- Please read this novel before judging it on another person's review. Or you might regret it missing such a gem novel.

Cliche face-slapping novel, nothing unique but always a reliable read.

Translation is good and the site's UI is sleek, clean, and simply nice to look at.

Characters are written more adeptly than your typical face-slap novel, and the plot's pacing takes it's time allowing you to bond with these characters compared to the standard lightspeed pacing of this genre. This works together to make a compelling story, what with the MC having a past life full of mystery and intrigue.

Try it out, even if it's just to pass the time waiting for... more>> other novels to update. <<less

I don't how to feel about this novel... I only read 10 chapters but I can't find any valid reason for the enmity that appears out of nowhere.

I don't know why the MC dislike the protagonist.

I don't understand why the protagonist needs to get rid of the MC.

... more>> I don't get the reason behind the suspicious maid's loyalty.

I can't help but find the Original guy's reaction to his fiancée suspicious as it doesn't fit his tr*shy character.

I find the extreme reaction of the classmates questionable because the student council president's reaction is very mild to justify their hatred.

Simply, I feel like I reading from Volume 2 instead of Volume 1.

Nothing is explained, it just happened in the past and every character knows the whys... but the readers. <<less

Overall is good, but the romance is too slow. Well is harem novel afterall, the face slapping plot is very cliche. The weakness are the author is too lazy to explaine how the MC plan and preparing things for slapping real MC plan like fake id for hospital dna test, hacking system, disguise, etc.

This is my first time writing so dont expect to much of professionalism on me

1. Romance

In term of romance, I like the build up and the heroine is not just flat girl that see MC and fall in love, she can resonance with MC experience and help him even if its just a trivial thing, their romance also slow-cooked and not just flirting here and there, for now only 1 heroine got her development still waiting for the maid (PRESIDENT FOR THE WIN🥳🥳🥳)

... more>> 2. Character

The MC is like real adult that already experience the salt and sour of life and have a calm mind (not like some "so called adult" That always get h**ny when meeting woman). The protagonist (MC enemy) also not just some boring braindead character, he have his own scheme and moment, for the side chara I like it cuz I can really hate the supposedly hated characters and appreciate some really got chara

3. Pace

The novel pace for me is pretty slow but good for me, I dont like fast paced novel that rushed thing. It has its own build up. Just let me say let the author cook

I am sorry for the grammar (english not my first language) <<less

This is a typical face-slapping novel with the twist that it is very slow-burn, but this just doesn't work. Face-slapping is a two-stages process. First, the injustice, the looking down on the protagonist, etc. That is then followed by the face slap.

Is it better if a plot or character is properly fleshed out before the face-slapping occurs? Sure, but it misses the point of face-slapping when most of it revolves around the protagonist being wronged with very little payoff or actual face slapping.
