Carpenter Xue Wenhao pulled an all-nighter, struggling through a danmei farming novel that his sister forced him to read. The novel featured a scummy gong—who, coincidentally, shared his exact name.

The next morning, he woke up inside the book.

And worse still, he was that very same s*umbag—a lazy, abusive husband who mistreated his ger spouse and beat their children.

Nanmu Village was just as its name suggested: filled with nanmu trees. The entire village—front yards, backyards, mountain slopes—was covered with golden-threaded nanmu wood.

Seeing this, Carpenter Xue felt as if he had struck gold. Without hesitation, he resumed his woodworking craft, making furniture, earning money, pampering his husband, and leading the entire village toward prosperity.

The only problem?

Every piece of furniture he crafted seemed to possess special abilities:

Cedarwood increased certain physical functions and improved fertility.

Walnut wood enhanced intelligence.

Pearwood strengthened the body.

Poplar wood provided cooling effects.

Huangboluo wood retained warmth.

Nanmu wood relieved fatigue.

Rosewood brought inner peace…

Before he knew it, Carpenter Xue had accidentally become an imperial merchant.

I expected a business ancient world in this story. However sadly I think only 10% about the business furniture or mentioning the seme protagonist ability. 90% all about his life, how the villagers works. At chap 60+, the gong just started business 🤣. Way too long. Sadly, the business doesn't even have any twisted plots. Very straightforward. No trick at all.

The s*um relative been making trouble from the shou pregnant until the he gone to the capital with the family. The gong just threatened them. And then like flies they... more>> will make trouble again. No ending.

The gong lacked domineering character & also is not a capable person. He just a business person.

Spoiler

After they go the capital, The son got shunned because the teacher (the gong's enemy) kept mentioning about his father as an ex prince now turn to commoners. So the child got shunned. He become quiet. Later he cry sadly to the gong. The gong action was to take a break. Go to the village to take care of the child mood. Shouldn't at least the gong beat some sense into the bad teacher??. Just put on sacks, and beat him out. As simple as that.

The son a 4 years old child was beaten by this bad person, an adult ‼️. At that time the gong just got transmigrated so he took the child and ran to the clinic. After all the thing settle.. The protagonist doesn't beat this bad person. The one who fight with him is the shou.

The gong is an ex soldier who then become a carpenter. But he not behave like soldier at all.

[collapse]

The novel have no face slapping scene at all. Seriously I have to stop reading a few times. And then just read it when I remember.

4.0 because the child is cute. It happy ending. The only good thing because the interaction with the child is good <<less
