Lin Chu, an engineering student, was following a novel and found the villain character especially compelling. When she read the part where the villain was forced to marry a manipulative woman during his downfall, Lin Chu couldn’t help but criticize the green tea character.

Who would have expected that she’d black out, only to become that very same troublesome woman who regretted her marriage to the villain on their wedding day and ultimately got herself killed?

Lin Chu: “…”

Stay calm, don’t panic.

Looking at the villainous husband, injured and returning from the battlefield, Lin Chu thought she had found her chance to escape her tragic fate by clinging to his leg for survival…

If you suspend your disbelief and read this novel, you will enjoy it. However, the catch is not to analyze some obviously illogical aspects! Apart from a few lapses that cannot withstand scrutiny, this is an above-average novel that would have benefited from more nuance, details, and additional chapters. Though the ML and MC are not as fleshed out as they could be, they are distinct and likable. The plot has the makings of a clichéd yet epic story but relies more on telling than showing.

The only real gripe I... more>> have is with the secondary characters. The author sketches out elaborate plotlines for them, but their impact is only expressed through their interactions with the main protagonists. It's as if it were a movie, the secondary characters would only appear when sharing the frame with the ML or MC. <<less

TL;DR: A promising, slightly different beginning with intriguing character setups—but the romance is undercooked, the plot derails, and the ending crashes and burns. A real shame, because the potential was there.

This novel starts off strong, and I’d even say it’s a bit more refreshing than your average transmigration story. The FL doesn’t just wake up in a powerful body and become instantly omniscient—instead, the plot takes its time to build the world and relationships. What really caught my interest was the reveal that another major character isn’t transmigrated but reincarnated,... more>> adding a cool twist of dual perspectives and potential conflict.

However, while this character’s introduction gave me high expectations... they - and others - are’basically forgotten for huge chunks of the book. You’d expect some sort of arc or relevance to the story’s main trajectory, but they’re silent, missing, or just totally backgrounded for dozens of chapters at a time. A wasted opportunity.

Another weak point: the romance between the FL and ML feels completely underdeveloped. There’s zero buildup—no gradual progression or believable chemistry. It just flips a switch and suddenly the ML is head-over-heels in love. It makes it hard to get emotionally invested in their relationship.

And unfortunately, as the plot progresses, the storyline starts to fall apart. There are too many loopholes and unresolved threads, and by the end, it felt like the author was just trying to wrap things up as fast as possible. Major plot points are resolved abruptly, and key character decisions or political shifts are narrated like a historical summary rather than shown with meaningful storytelling. Yet, the author still somehow found time to write in random side stories and unnecessary dialogue that don't contribute to the main narrative. It made for a very jarring pacing experience.

And yes, the ending was a disaster. Rushed, full of skipped development, and worst of all—it ends on a cliffhanger, leaving behind a dozen unanswered questions and unresolved plotlines. So many things are just glossed over or ignored entirely. <<less
