First of all, this although not a groundbreaking novel is carried out very brilliantly written.

-0.5star : Found myself getting bored around 20 chapters from the end

-0.5star : Sometimes you find the plot-line being overused

... more>> I strongly recommend this if you're looking for some comedy, romance, and Family feel-good. The characterisation of the MC is on-point and it reminds the reader often that the MC wasn't originally human without making her overly dense. She's flirty, cheeky, and cunning, but at the same time, she's simple.

ML is also nice, not scum, and remains true to its personality since although it is a s*ave-wife it is still “cold” and corrects when necessary and does not say yes to everything. The story is amazingly sweet and full of fluff. He took care of his son's need despite being busy and he was shown to care for his son through the course of the story and the love between ML and FL also comes naturally.

Overall 4.6, very nice family novel <<less

This is a cute novel IF you understand and accept it is meant to be lighthearted and the main character spent her previous lifetime as a snake, much of it as a snake on exhibit at a zoo where she had an inattentive zookeeper and "learned" much of what she knows of humans/human interaction/human world through a combination of light entertainment and observing the various people who visited her exhibit. A small but, I think, important detail is that she was placed on exhibit by some demon authority group and... more>> had been on exhibit for 170 of her 200 years before she died trying to escape. She is a strange combination of wily woman with the advantage of knowing the main plot points and naive newcomer dropped in a strange-ish new world where she discovers the story she enjoyed reading in her previous life is superficial nonsense when she becomes an actual character--and a long-suffering one at that--in it. She runs on a combination of instinct, a pretty deep understanding of people's nature (either natural or honed from years of observation), and a superficial understanding of the world outside.

She is childlike in that so many things are new to her and much of what she knows--or thinks she knows--comes from what she has observed... on television, from light novels, and what she observed of humans/human interaction from within her enclosure. I think a reviewer hated that about her but in truth, she isn't spending the story acting as an 8 year old trapped in an adult's body--she is naive, yes, but she does learn, albeit slowly and only where it really affects her, that the fictional/dramatized novels/tv shows in her past life does not accurately or necessarily truthfully depict real life. However, I didn't find it very difficult to envision her as a (young) adult, albeit a naive one... if you know any sheltered people or people who never quite got over their "spoiled" phase, I don't think it's very difficult to, except that she is fictional and thus, bearable because you don't actually have to deal with her in real life and can stop reading at any time.

It's a light read and much of the humor is derived from a combination of the MC's mature desires intermixed with her naive disposition. Gifting her husband
Spoiler

a s*x doll without realizing it's purpose? Hilarious. IRL, you would probably bang your head and wonder how anyone could be so s*upid and ignorant but truthfully, if you think about it, a s*x doll is a very odd thing if you aren't already familiar with the concept. Our MC really has no reason to be familiar with a s*x doll or its function because, frankly, she's never been in a situation where she would be exposed to it--after all, how often does the subject/topic of s*x doll come up on soaps on tv or in day to day public interaction... at the zoo?

[collapse]

When our MC interrupts a meeting of her husband's, I can believe it happening the way it did. It's not so much a case of "Hubby, cancel that meeting!" so much as a text/call where she's letting him know something/celebrating some news and he chooses to take the call during the meeting. With, I think, one exception, she doesn't try to persuade him to miss important work gatherings (and the one exception I can think of, it was a surprise press conference that was hastily put together by his assistant as he and she were starting to get it on... that seemed played more for humor than anything). As the boss, I can pretty easily imagine him being able to push a meeting to a (speedy) end if he wants to, especially given the side plot of him using the opportunity of the dissatisfaction/disagreement towards his business decisions in those meetings to drive out board members/employee (s) who were working against him anyway.

In general, if you're looking for a strong FL who doesn't need a man and can and will solve all problems herself... you're not getting it here. If you want a story where the FL is dominated by the ML, you won't be getting it here as well. If you want a light-hearted story where you don't need to think but where the characters are pretty-well developed given its genre and publishing platform (we are not looking for literary gold here), this may be your story. Just a warning though-it may be jarring to see how the son goes so easily from neglected son to utter momma's lil boy though if you know any children of divorced parents who had one parent basically be absent for a while and then reappear showering them with gifts and/or affection while they are still children, you might find it less so. If not for looking back on what happened with some children of divorced parents I know, I probably wouldn't have considered it realistic but I think it was actually pretty well done. And I will say I enjoyed that the ML was such a responsible father the whole time.

All in all, it's a good read for some laughs and light-hearted fun, though some parts are a bit jarring. Those parts aren't usually the actions of our MCs though and are packaged as fitting revenge though how it goes down may vary.

Frankly, I'm just glad that the FL's revenge against others didn't amount to "drop them off somewhere to be brutally r*ped" or something like that. Admittedly, that may be a low bar to approve of a character but the scene of the protagonist being shown as being the hero or "justified" for knowingly placing someone in a situation to be r*ped because the other person targeted them first is unsettingly common and seemingly swept under the rug in these types of novels. So when you give me a character whose revenge is basically "let the public know my half-sister/step-mother was bleeding me (and through me, the hubby) dry and is responsible for all those rumors about me, " I'm gonna go, "Oh, nice. That seems proportional." <<less

It’s cute but the FL is too much of a Mary Sue for me. I don’t know, maybe I’m too old for this type of story. But it’s cute, too cute if I must say. Kinda like the usual CEO-Actress trope with the usual lead actress antagonist and a cute baby on the side. A good read if you have time to waste and don’t want to use your brain too much.

I want to cry this is so good, the latest chapters have had me laughing so hard I wanted to roll on my bed. I'm so sad that it will be hard to find more novels this good and even if I do I will run out of them.

The romance is so cuteeee, maybe I'm used to read half assed romance that only consists of infatuation but this one is so good omg. Most characters are quite rational-ish. In other LNs the people around the FL quickly accept the change... more>> but her family couldn't help but be wary, but of course after so time the changes were too obvious. After all, after hitting one's head you can indeed change your personality so it isn't something unlikely. I've heard of people that hated someone and after their accident they forgot their negative feelings towards them and only had a vague memory of the other person being nice to them so their attitude changed. That's not what happened here anyway.

There is surprisingly character development. The way the romance progressed is so good. It's not the ML suddenly seeing her flawless one day, he just started accepting her um, quirks. I honestly wasn't excepting the FL to change much or progress in their romance, but there was also some of that. It's a pretty heartwarming story, I personally don't care much about the showbiz aspect. I'd be happy just seeing their unique family interactions and how they progress omg, this is so cute I love it!!! This is the perfect slice of life. Ah but the face slapping isn't bad, the first fights weren't really that good, but lately they've been hilarious.
Spoiler

The call with the sister... man I was so worried through the novel because of that sister and that call made everything better, I couldn't stop laughing.

[collapse]

The characters are very likeable, the couple is nice. I don't tend to like the main characters this much but they are so funny! I love the FL's personality! Some Mary Sues tend to be proud of their looks, but no one is as endearing as YYY. Her self love is just refreshing and funny, it doesn't come across as smugness, even when she says others are only a portion of her beauty or how they aren't good enough to be in a scandal with her, it's just hilarious lmao. While the guy, idk lately I haven't been as harsh on most MLs, probably because compared to others this one is normal, no crooked morals. He's quite good, I don't really have any complaints about him. He's the typical handsome powerful CEO but idc, he's already married with her and so far into the story there haven't been weird girls trying to snatch the husband or people being jealous of her (just comments of her being so lucky and having everything), they are a power couple, who'd try to get between them? If some small fry comes and tries to seduce him it'd probably end up in him ignoring her and then some dog food with YYY.

I really... like the FL. I've decided to declare her as my favorite FL. The childcare aspect is also good, some novels focus more on the romance and only use the child as a cute token and to show her motherly instincts that make the ML fall in love and then shove him into the background and only bring him out to show some heartwarming scenes. The child here is indeed like a main character, uh he's also my favorite child character! After all he's their child, they are great parents.
Spoiler

I've read that bun bun #2 is coming so... that character will probably be another favorite character of mine

Nice fluff story without unnecessary drama. The romance progression is steady because the FL is very straightforward. Villain?? Hm, they don't have much presence

??? This novel is killing me! It's really funny, especially the antics of YYY and her baby ? It's also very fluffy. There are some plot holes, but the novel is extremely enjoyable despite that. YYY is a natural airhead sometimes but most of the times, she's strong, loving, clever, narcissistic and shameless (in seducing her hubby). I recommend this to everyone who enjoys light humor. It's not some kind of psychological drama, so don't expect any intellectual warfare or anything. The face slapping was fun and enjoyable. And I... more>> surprisingly like both the MC, ML & of course, the little bun. The ML is the overbearing CEO type but not overly possessive or oppressive. He has a typical "cold on the outside but passionate on the inside" characteristic. I can't wait for scenes with more romantic content in them. RECOMMENDED! <<less

Interactions with the ML and son are funny and fluffy. High hopes for the rest of the novel. Great read if you want to have fun and enjoy entertaining characters~~

I have heart cavities from the amount of sweetness oozing from this novel!!!!

The MC is refreshingly hilarious and easy-going. Unlike your usual transmigrators, this MC was a snake spirit who "died" due to divine punishment. It's weird but slowly makes sense as she deals with her new identity by using her past experience as a snake. Yes, like I said it's weird but really funny at the same time. Her interactions with her cute son and tsundere husband are all full of fluff. The plot is steadily paced and very... more>> interesting. This novel I highly recommend 100%.

Spoiler

MC transmigrates into a novel as the cannon fodder, soon to be ex-wife of ML. She is in love and obsessed with her childhood sweetheart (2nd ML of original novel. He too is a s*umbag).

The MC remembers that the previous owner of the MC's body was a selfish and malicious woman who repeatedly hurt her husband with her greed and cheating scandals. She refused her motherly responsibilities, later discarding her young son to chase her childhood sweetheart. The child later died due to negligence. The previous "her" was also so s*upidly naive that she was easily manipulated by others into becoming a stepping stone for the ML and original FL's love story in the novel.

The current MC pities the child who has yet to experience this unfortunate future, and vows to keep him safe during this new life. She also decides to use this opportunity to achieve her dream of becoming a famous actress.

The ML himself came from a broken home, so it's really sweet seeing how much he dotingly cares about his son. The ML even states later on in the story that he wanted to give his son a warm and loving home, something he himself never had. That was why he had stayed in this unhappy marriage for so long.

The MC knows of the ML's insecurities and his reluctance to continue with the marriage. However, the MC is determined to woo him and resolves to keep her home and family together.

The romantic development between the MC and ML is slow but very funny and sometimes shocking, as the MC shamelessly tries to seduce her husband repeatedly. Seeing him slowly succumbing to her charm makes it all the more satisfying.

I can't help but be awed by our MC's proactive approach in pursuing her husband and her dreams.

[collapse]

I really really love this novel, kudos to the author. And I've gotta say, the quality of the translation is also very excellent.

Honestly, this novel makes me want to shamelessly chase my crush and have a baby at the same time smh *face palm* hahahaimsoconfusedhahahaha

But seriously though, baby-fever is a real illness. Unless you're absolutely sure then please be responsible, especially during these uncertain and difficult times. Stay safe and enjoy the novel xx <<less

I like that this story made me laugh. But the way the antagonists were handled made me cringe or not read at all.

It seems that the MC is too OP. ML is OP too. Everyone loves the MC, yada yada.

I like the kid.

... more>> But somehow I don't know, something just feels wrong and I couldn't quite point it out.

I just noticed that this author liked her MCs OP.

Nevertheless, this was quite entertaining. However, after face slapping her family, I lost interest already. I jumped to the extras and the side character's love story is much more interesting. <<less

The female lead is the best. Honestly, she is very interested. Her intelligence and cunning are the best positive qualities as the lead. Her acting is amazing because she remember her sad life as a snake in the zoo.

This is one of my fave transmigration stories. Yu Yaoyao is soo funny, I love her.

The plot may be a bit cliché on some parts but it's the execution and characters that make this interesting. The pace is just right, unlike most novels, we get to see ML here gradually developing feelings and then finally accepting that MC changed for the better. The little bun is also cute.

If you're in for some fluffy and fun story, read this.

LET ME TELL YOU WHO IS THE ANTAGONIST!

Spoiler

The Step-sister, Chen Jiao, Mengxi, is really annoying antagonist. Really annoying me.

[collapse]

I can't even believe that
Spoiler

Chen Jiao, The Film Emperor, The so-called MC's first love

[collapse]
is actually bad! He's the antagonist too!

And MC's manager monologue and personal gesture sometimes annoy me too since he's appear to be overly nervous and anxious, why wasting half of the chapter only to explain the nervousness of the manager........ when you can just explain the face slapping moment more exciting!

I love little Shen Rui so much!

Now I want to have a child....... God I hope I have a child like Shen Rui in the future!

Each chapters is short and most of them ended uo in cliffhanger, fortunately c88 didn't or I'll go crazy of curios haha

ML reaction is still cold. If this kind of attitude got dragged until chapter 100, I'll be really annoyed. If you doubt whether MC is really spend money on Chen Jiao or not why not investigate it? So you know that MC has been giving money to the step sister, not the freaking Film emperor Chen Jiao. Hmph! I'm looking forward to the so-called doting Husband! <<less

It was a pretty good read. I got a little bored with it towards the end though, but it was still pretty good. I seem to now like stories where the MC was not exactly human before transmigrating. The non human mc's tend to be really interesting because there is a lot of stuff that they don't know yet and it's very interesting to watch them discover things like feelings and food lol.

The characters are so likeable! Even the ML is not a stuck up jerk. The way he doubts her and acts cautious around her is also with 100% logic. Their son had experienced 4 years of ab*se and neglience. If he accepts her too quickly, it'd be worrying. With her sudden change she probably looks emotionally unstable in their eyes. I really hope they don't drag the plot too long.

It's fluffy and funny. I would bindge it, if I could.

Entertaining, some face slaps. The FL may not seem to be smart but she is, just a little bit focus on her beauty and her dream to be a star. The ML a total wife s*ave but I really like him. The son super cute and smart.

Happy ending and true love story.

The last 100 Ch were boring, the story after she gets pregnant is boring at least for me so I skip almost to the end.

For those that expect a realistic novel or characters, just check up the tags and genre, this is not for you.

This is a book with its own flaws but I would still recommend reading it. As it is a very sweet and fluffy story. The Baby is cute though in the middle he did become a bit more rude, especially to his father but nothing over the top. The ML is sweet and understanding 10/10 for him.

Spoiler

The original FL according to the book Yaoyao read was kind of s*upid, she got one more chance at life after she literally stole everything from Yaoyao her childhood love, got her son killed, and even stole her husband (who later found out what she did) still want that man again and behaves as if she was superior than FL. She tries to seduce the husband in front of his wife.

The family of Yaoyao was also kind of messy I mean I get that the father doesn't care about his daughter but if she is married into so much wealth that his entire business is dependent on her husband he should at least treat her better or care a little.

Lastly, that s*upid actor Chen (forgot his name) hates Yaoyao because her sister told him that she loves him, I mean she never troubled him, and she never stalked him or anything. But later when you find that she is your white moonlight* you suddenly want her even though she is happily married and has children. And then you change because of a kid's words.

I personally feel that it could have been completed a hundred chapters prior to the original ending, it was stretched unnecessarily. <<less

No cuz this had no business being so cute and hilarious ! I read these kind of novel with my brain on cruise mode and this was perfect for that!

kinda felt bad for the kid and dad in the beginning cuz she did kinda gaslight them about ogFL’s behaviour, but those kind of moments never lasted long enough to impede my enjoyment of the story. There is some plot, but it’s definitely background to the fluff and humour.

and the extras! I loved them, especially the ones about the rando side... more>> couple. Author really said I’m not gonna bog down the story with a side romance so y’all better get your material with those three extra chapters and the two throwaway mentions in the main text and I respect them for that ngl <<less
