What makes me keep going is my desire to see more of the protagonists. They excel in what they do and have made steps into improving their strengths with reasons to hide their more stellar capabilities. Aside from the very, very slow burn and admittedly one-dimensional personality, they are fun to read about.

Unfortunately,... more>> they keep introducing new characters that don't have any payoffs aside from being a stepping stone to make the protagonists look good. It is like, 788 chapters total though, so I am hoping to be proven wrong as the story progresses.

This is one of the more satisfying xianxia stories I've read. Probably the most consistent in terms of plots and reoccurring characters too. Everything is resolved neatly, and you're not left hanging for long. There's drama but it doesn't usually happen to the protagonist pairs (after the first few chapters). Honestly this turned-out way better than I expected and I'm very impressed!!

Each arc is around 100 chapters so it's easy to split and read it while taking a break. One of the more interesting points is that the side-characters stick... more>> with the protagonist group throughout, and they don't get left behind. It's so fun and also refreshing to see.

Also they officially get together around 200 chapters in. It's not a long wait technically? But it is abit further into the story!! <<less
