The saintess trope isn't well delivered on, as there are no training arcs or anything. Both saints can perform their duty of purifying the miasma of the world while just existing. The only real development here is that the monsters, feared as products of miasma that drain life force to the point of death, are effectively benign beings with infantile thought processes, "attacking" humans because they feel warm and are overly excited to react to them. They're perfectly happy to be erased from existence when "playing" with adventurers, and the saints discover they can talk with the monsters and usher them back into the cycle of life when they feel tired with existence.

The political aspect of the story is also too light to be of substance. Almost all countries in the setting understand the importance of saintesses as they are well established in lore to be envoys of god sent to purify the world, though there is a nation undergoing a covert coup that brush off the saintesses' existence, ultimately orchestrating the kidnapping of one of the protagonists by the end of the story. Said coup is foiled as a result of the kidnapping and not knowing about the saintesses' ability to talk to monsters, and for the most part the country gets off scott free with the arrest of the main perpetrator, despite kidnapping god's literal favorite person. The lack of consequence makes the whole arc really fall flat.

You would expect a lot of slice of life elements, but all this really involves is the saintesses having a brief trip through the dwarf country, elf country, inland human country, and a stint in the beast kingdom that is hardly even included as it gets pushed to the side for the last arc's kidnapping plot. If there's any worldbuilding to be had, it's usually about some brief description of each country's booze history. There is no in-depth explanation of food or drink here, and the slice of life elements and saintess/political elements trip over each others' feet to the point where neither aspect is fleshed out enough.

Finally, romance. It exists. Throughout the story, both saintesses talk to each other about the men around them and discuss interspecies relationships to an extent. It's pointed out that said relationships typically don't work out due to the difference in lifespans, especially with humans having the shortest life expectancy of all shown races. Additionally, it's pointed out very early on that saintesses have never been known to be able to breed, so that's another obstacle to romance. Ultimately, a partner is singled out for both saintesses, and they both kinda suck. The small, cute saintess (I think named Chiharu) ends up falling for the literal oldest elf alive, who is introduced in the beginning as somewhat of the elves' representative. It's really creepy how touchy-feely he is with Chiharu considering the age gap, with it being justified that despite his age, all he has to show for it is silver hair, as opposed to the normal elvish blonde: otherwise he looks just as handsome as any other elf. The taller, more assertive saintess (Maki) ends up with the dwarvish prince, who originally accompanied the saintesses while they were incognito without knowing who he was protecting. He's noted to be large for a dwarf, about the size of a normal human on Earth, just being wide. He's also fairly dense at first, but makes the first move on Maki at the end of the story. He's also like 70 years old or something, weird age gap. The ages make all of the romance really f*cking weird since the saintesses couldn't just go for normal humans, and it's implied (but not elaborated on) that some royal jelly they got in the elf lands may have extended the saintesses lifespans. Also, the romance really felt like an afterthought, as almost all of the above, while mentioned at some point or another, only really becomes concrete at the end of the story, with nothing explored in detail as the story developed. Also, no real epilogue of how the relationships turned out.

Also, on a minor note, pretty much every arc has a development where a saintess is kidnapped (it's always Chiharu, but Maki was kidnapped with Chiharu at one point.) It got pretty old.
