Kamishiro Homura is a hero who once by himself exterminated the another world invader that destroyed the military all over the world. However his extreme strength made the influential people ostracized and exiled him from the society with false accusation of [Traitor] attached to him. A few years after that, for an unspecified reason Homura entered the magician academy and he looked after the girls that were ridiculed as the [burden platoon]…!? This is the raise of the curtain of a fantasy tale of the unrivaled and invincible young man where not a single ally or enemy can keep up with him, the young man who sooner or later will be extolled as the messiah by the whole human race!

For those who are looking for originality, look elsewhere. The novel features a mary sue main character, who is literally hated by the world for being so perfect and amazing. So our loner master magician does a favor to a old friend and agrees to teach a platoon of magician girls. The generic challenge the S class waifu girl to a duel with a lowest rank character and then flawlessly winning... So formulaic.... Literally the whole volume I read was the same formula every other Japaneses wankfest novel has.

The story is great but still have a lot to improve. First the characters are not very decent with some seriously wrong and unrealistic personality. Next is the plot, although the antagonist plot is nothing new, it's actually very good. The fighting scene is the best part but kinda ruined for a bit cause the characters. 3.5/5 for it, might be 4 thou.

A novel that picture the true nature of humans, the best novel that I have ever read. Homura, the Hero that sacrificed everything to save the world is betrayed and used as a dog, yet he still try his best to protect Humanity. The story is well written, the characters have a incredible tridimensional personality.

The first two books are perfect, the problem are the last two books, the end is rushed; it reach the Climax but it gives a feeling of incompleteness and there is a large plot-hole:

After the apparition of Michael the book changes.

Indeed the death of Himura and his "Wrait form" is interesting but the last book is like a race: the apparition of the angel is a complete severing from the other books, according to Vel the world partially entered the demon world but the demons disappear completely and there isn't even a confrontation between angels and demons and when the angels attacked there wasn't even a person that asked where were the angels during the Walpurgis Night (Homura was in a different dimension).

This LN needs more attention. Overpowered MC but hides it due to frightening people lol. Romance is pretty slow but it works. Id rate this a 11/10 LN due to how is so different. He gets betrayed by his world yet saves the world. MC isn't a pe*vert too, which makes this LN even better.

My only complaint is that this series had the potential to be longer but because the author was already busy with his previous work he cut it short. It was really entertaining, but was too damn rushed. Sigh such wasted potential.

Yeah it was a great ride but vol 4 was a disappointment, it was rushed and didn't really give a good ending or a decent one. Yeah good guy wins bad guy loses but really... Leaving it off there isn't good, had more potential to explain his past a little and answer a few questions. Author should of have an epilogue seeing how they ended up and the ending again disappoints us because you'd expect something on a epic level but nah it's not

MC is alive but turned to a speck of himself to infiltrate the angel to find the girl and while infiltrating he finds the weaknesses of the angel and at the end finds the girl while emerging out with some epic moments like saving the others sure it's a cliche but hell as long as it shows the epic showdown of MC but no MC is weak now and instead relies on the girls due to his being a wraith. He uses them and they focus together destroying the angel and 'Yay woopie we won' cheers then end... No epic good bye ending where MC pulls all the stops to end the archangel or trys to visit "God" and destroy him.

All in all the story was great but the ending kills it 8/10 for the first 3 3/10 for the 4 vol. in all the series is 4 star <<less

Very disappointing, what happens to the MC from vol 3 is depressing, I can't recommend it for that, if you like novels with MC that fulfill your own goals don't read this novel if you don't want to bother with the author.

For anyone who like an OP MC, this is for you! Our MC as OP as hell, he can ‘break’ even earth. If you want to know what happened until he ‘almost break’ earth, Read the novel!!

I really hate how, Homura never does anything about the big 5. Him going against the "United World Government really could have stopped a lot from happening, all he had to do was not follow what they were doing. Or at least not let them seal his power.

Vol 3 really was a let down. I honestly don't think I could hate it more.

Vol 4 I thought it didn't really add anything, just seemed like the author was finished with the novel at Vol 3. <<less

This is a good read and not too short with decent plot. If we got a little focus and development on some villain this will be more interesting. I expect a lot from the <special missionaries> that appears to be mid bosses but after coming out I don't even remember their names sadly. Also villains are working as a group that is <the great 5 leaders>, in my opinion other leaders don't play even enough decent roles and some of them is in name only. All the villain work is... more>> done by the pope lol. If you read enough, this is obvious the villains are lacking, even though they are world leaders and even have secret organizations, only the pope show its role. Although the title is Ultimate Antihero, there is no heroes in the first place and MC don't antagonize anyone even his enemies, the title is seriously misleading. On the other hand even though it is short MC and his companions development is remarkably good. Sumika, Chikori, Shiori and Vel. They has their own personality and characteristics such as how they respond obstacles and difficulties. Even though they are somehow similar to each other, the author show his skill in developing those characters in constant with plot development. Even some minor characters like members of 27th platoon, prime minister and such as crawling chaos aren't inferior in describing and their role in story. Some readers don't like 4th volume that much but for me it is clearly the volume that is most fitted for Sumika that show fulfilling her responsibilities as she promise and MC that came out after rescuing Shiori as he promise. Overall if you ignore somewhat lacking villains, this is a good series that is only for 4 volumes. <<less

A generic story, nevertheless a pretty enjoyable one. There are some loose ends by the end of the story, but nothing significant. The other downside is the fact that this series only has 4 volume, therefore not enough chance to explore the world.

Personally I like it a lot although it has a lot of negative & predictive side nut overall its a novel worthy of 4/5.

my personal is 5/5 because it has a decent ending & main Character is decent..... any one should read some then give

some thoughts & your and my thoughts can different because we are different & other tastes so try a bit then go away.

This series could be on the same level as Seven and Overlord, if the writer didn't decide to focus so on Sumika on the last volume, the author even butcher Homura backstory to the point it become a half, A HALF chapter subplot. God that was so turn off.

However if you decide to accept the 3/4 of the last volume as non-canon/filler subplot, you will find this LN is amazing, like I said before if it weren't for the s*upid last volume, this series could stand with Seven, Overlord ETC.

Don't... more>> get me wrong Sumika is a good Characther, if she behave like Shiori and don't chase Homura affection. She could be the best girl alas the moment she decide to "stand side by side" with Homura she become such a cliche character.

And yes the last novel is rush, that's why it get 3/5 from me <<less

Its good. Very good. The story about a boy who has the ultimate power (magical stuff), and because of that power, everybody hates and fears him. He doesn't even care though. Interesting.
