“They say you shouldn’t disturb a dog when it’s eating. So why do I feel like being a dog?”

When she silently blinked at him in confusion, he merely gestured with his chin and murmured, ‘Hurry up and eat.’

“It’s because I keep wanting to crawl underneath the table and lick you there.”

Unlike her, who suddenly stiffened completely, he had a relaxed expression on his face. Her cheeks flushed as she mulled over his words.

She tried to pretend it didn’t bother her, but she failed. She grabbed the cup and gulped down the water.

“You weren’t this kind of person before.”

She spoke as she placed the cup back on the table. He shrugged.

“You made me this way. It can’t be helped.”

Although she didn’t want to admit it, the haughty smile on his lips was so attractive. And the voice that flowed out of those lips…

“You’re the only one who makes me like this.”

“If it wasn’t you and it was someone else…”

Lowering himself from the chair, he knelt on the floor. Then he went on all fours and began to crawl over to her.

“I wouldn’t do something like this.”

Review: When I first picked this up, I couldn't put it down! I wanted to know how it ended, and if you ever decide to read the first chapter, you'll understand why. I needed to know what happened to that ONE GUY and whether karma got his ass. You'll be rooting for the FL throughout the novel, but you'll also be screaming at the main leads because they need to communicate. This novel is filled with misunderstandings, so please be aware! If you do not enjoy novels where the leads struggle with communication, this may not be the novel for you!

Now, onto the cons in the writing itself. The emotions seem a bit half-baked at times, and I wish the author spent more time delving into the characters and their feelings. Some plot points seem to be mentioned in passing but are never revisited afterwards. Almost as if it was slipped into the novel as a means to an end instead of integrating with the woven fabric of the story.

Overall, this was a good read to pass the time! I did read it from cover to cover, so it was an enjoyable and addicting novel. It's a fluffy, refreshing novel where the FL gets her revenge in subtle ways (not the over-the-top revenge we see in soap operas). Notably, the romance isn't a passionate roller coaster with tons of ups and downs. It's a steady road with a few bumps along the way (and some angst sprinkled in, of course). <<less
