As the saying goes, a hero can be stumped by a single penny, but a debt of hundreds of thousands can bring a person to a complete standstill.
After graduating from university, Qi Baizi, burdened with student loans and a mountain of debt from her mother’s medical treatments, chose the path of an “Outsourced Mansion Assistant” from a sea of job postings. The reason was simple: the pay was good.
After starting her job, she moved between a luxurious mansion and an office building, on call from 7 AM to 7 PM, five days a week. Besides the constant need to be on high alert, the biggest challenge of the job was trying to figure out the psychology of her cold and unapproachable boss, a woman whose face screamed “stay away.” You could never guess what she would say next.
“With such a cold and magnificent face, yet so petty that she can’t tolerate different patterned paper cups in the conference room!”
“She actually has waist-length hair? I never noticed since she always wears it up!”
“Are people from wealthy families born knowing eight languages? And what’s with suddenly throwing a French dictionary at me after a transatlantic conference? If you have a problem with me, can’t you just say it directly!”
After every long day, Qi Baizi would vent her frustrations on social media. Hey, complaining about the boss was just a way to recharge her spirit!
Until one day, Gu Yuetong confiscated her account and addressed every single one of her complaints:
“Qi Baizi, I am very displeased with your foreign language skills. Please go back and work hard to improve them. At the next transatlantic conference, please address me in French.”

Returning to her apartment from a tedious dinner party, Gu Yuet潼 opened a bottle of red wine. Too lazy to find a glass, she drank straight from the bottle.
In her private space, she couldn’t be bothered with “propriety” or “elegance.” Tossing aside her heavy suit and slipping into slippers, she was just an ordinary 26-year-old girl.
Sitting cross-legged before the floor-to-ceiling window, Gu Yuetong let her long hair sweep the floor as she gazed at the dazzling neon lights in the distance. A smile reached her eyes, and the face of a certain person gradually appeared in her mind.
“Qi Baizi…”
The bottle of red wine was empty. Unconsciously, she had written this simple name countless times on the glass with her finger.
In a drunken haze, the front door was suddenly pushed open, and a tall girl with a ponytail walked in.
She hugged her from behind, her kisses starting from her back.
Just as her fingertips touched a moist spot, Qi Baizi suddenly stopped.
“…A-Qi?” Gu Yuetong looked at her with hazy, unfocused eyes, full of confusion.
Qi Baizi said solemnly, “BOSS, tonight, please address me in French.”

They walked in the fog for a long time and finally saw the hopeful light of a fire.
A story of redemption, HE (Happy Ending). There are some male “cannon fodder” characters. (This is noted at the request of readers, with a bow.) This is not an all-female world.
A simple yet dramatic love story.
